Pamela, the office manager, will be your only point of contact should there be any problems, and…read morethere will be. If she decides she does not like you, she will not answer or return your calls or emails. She will even avoid you on property. Writing to the management company, calling them, will get no response whatsoever. I moved out on June 8, with rent paid up until the end of June. Without any communication to me, she rented out my apartment early. The parking space, mailbox and unit I was paying for, began being used by someone else! I only learned this when I visited her in the office to return keys. She has my forwarding address but here we are at the end of July without my substantial deposit returned. This is against the law, both collecting double rent and not returning my deposit with an accounting within 14 days. The voice mailboxes are always full and she ignores all attempts at communications. She has behaved outrageously in many other ways, as well. Snaps and yells at residents and is generally rude and runs the place like a dictator.. She prides herself on getting new customers but retention is a problem. There are many unhappy residents. Since no one at the Winfield at the Ranch property cares, it's time for small claims court and reporting Winfield to the authorities.

I have never left a review for any place, services, etc. I felt compelled to leave an honest review…read moreof Winfield at the Ranch after living there for the past two years. We were the first residents to live in our apartment and had many experiences. I would give this community a five star review, but the office manager is the reason I'm not. At first Pam in the office was very helpful and inviting. She helped us get our apartment in a very short time frame and was very accommodating. After the first six months or so, she became very hard to get in contact with. We would call numerous times during normal business hours with no answer. After a few unanswered phone calls, we would go down to the office to try and contact her in person, only to find that the office was closed. Mind you this was during normal business hours and happened on several occasions. I could understand if it was once or twice and maybe she was out of town, out for lunch, etc. Pam is very strict on the residents, but does not hold herself to the same standards. She is very hypocritical on her rules and makes it apparent that she is above them. One example is the parking rules. You're allowed to have one car per resident and one covered parking space per unit. Pam on the other hand at one time at three vehicles of her own, taking up two garage spaces and parking the third vehicle under a covered parking spot. These vehicles included a Ford pickup, a Dodge Challenger and an older station wagon. Now, if there was an open garage space available, I can see how this would be appropriate. But when you have a waiting list for garages and your community manager is using two of them for her personal vehicles, and parking in covered spots, I feel as if this is inappropriate. Also, you are not allowed to back in to parking spots (which is normal protocol for communities), but numerous times Pam's Challenger would be backed into a parking spot without her moving it for hours. She once gave me a "parking violation", a bright orange sticker, on my vehicle for being backed in for 30 minutes. The apartment itself was nice and felt like home. The best part was the pest control, we seldomly had any bugs, and if we did they were very small and minimal. Holiday patio contests were fun and made the community feel very festive. The pool and gym are nice community amenities and were always clean. We would have renewed our lease if it wasn't for two things: Pam and the monthly rent increasing drastically.
