Ordered tater kegs and they were cold in the middle. The deep fried pickles were good. I had a cuban; the meat was dry and there wasn't any mustard on the sandwich. Of course, the waitress insisted that there was mustard on the top bun. If there was, I sure didn't see or taste any. Maybe customers are just stupid and blind; but, if staff cannot handle constructive criticism, stop asking repeatedly if everything is ok. Maybe there was a misunderstanding between she and I in relation to her comment about the mustard but to me it seemed like she was trying to challenge my opinion about the food. Advice: don't argue with customers, just try to make them happy. BTW she also could have offered a box for my half sandwich instead of merely walking away after giving a guest at my table one. I had half of a flatbread pizza as well. It was so tough, it was like eating chips. The silk pie was 2 or 3 out of 10... not worth the calories. The hamburger was really good. This place was jam packed for a Sunday night. We waited 45 minutes to be seated. What's all the hype about? It sure is a nice place. However, I'll just vote with my feet along with 2 others. Outstanding building and decor. Attentive service and ample food choices. Chili and pizza was superb. Salad was fresh. Beer was cold. Owner could stop by and visit with guests when checking on employees. She was upset when she saw heater on in back room, but missed that family with 15 month baby had just departed happily. I've been here a couple of times now, and loved it both times. The vibe is super friendly, the bartenders and servers as well as the other patrons. Moreover, the clientele consisted of a wide variety of people: bikers, older people, and twenty-somethings. The building itself is a huge, spacious room with a log cabin/ski lodge feel. There's also an outdoor patio. They have very good live music on the weekends (Fri & Sat nights, and Sun afternoons). There are several interesting beers on tap. (If you're not sure about a beer they'll offer you a sample.) I haven't had the food yet, but it's always looked good as the servers brought it past. We live about 20 minutes away and enjoy the drive into the woods. It's like a cabin in the woods with family preparing food and drinks. Actually it's A LOT like that! It's a different menu that you won't find anywhere else, and that's good, I am tired of the same old chain restaurants. Owners actually walk around and ask for your comments about the meal. That means they truly care. We even commented on an appetizer we liked. The owner proudly explained about a new way they do something that no other restaurant does. Add some nice entertainment a few drinks and a good meal and you are all set. They even have Jesse Taylor perform and guess where he just came from? ummmm NASHVILLE! You can't get and you WON'T get any better in the woods of Findley Lake. Great place and we love it. Are you from OUT OF TOWN? Attention: This place is popular! The Pine Junction also sits on the New York Snowmobile Trail system. So, if you are visiting on a weekend and there is fluffy white stuff on the ground they WILL BE BUSY and you WILL WAIT! Taking the family with small children on a busy Friday or Saturday night is NOT recommended. There are snowmobilers in the winter and perhaps bikers in the Summer. Great crowds and GREAT PEOPLE. It may get a lil loud and that's ok. That's the kinda place that it is. Owners have recently made awesome improvements. They have enlarged the dining room and increased the bar area. Visiting the area and were staying at the Finley Lake Holiday Inn and this place was recommended to us. Drove thru a picturesque little town out in the middle of nowhere, but so worth the drive. What a great place!! Service was outstanding, the outside and inside were rustic and beautiful. He had the shrimp bisque soup as an appetizer. Outstanding! We then had the best custom burgers we have ever had. Finish that off with silk chocolate homemade pie that was a mile high, smooth and oh so good. You guys have a gem that is so worth the 5 stars. read more

What a great little find. My partner, mom, aunt, and I came here last year while staying in Chautauqua for the week. We liked it so much we came back this year. It was even better this time. We sat outside and watched 2 deer enjoying their supper also. We also were entertained by the 2 cats that seem to live on the grounds. Three of us got burgers that were very good. The beer selection was nice and served ice cold. My partner wanted the ribs that she saw listed. They told here that was a weekend special not available on Monday. The waitress went and checked with the kitchen and they made them for her anyway! The ribs were really good, but what made the meal was the homemade cornbread with a cinnamon/honey/butter sauce that was divine! This little out of the way place has become a fast favorite, well worth the drive to find it. read more

Stumbled across this gem on yelp about a month ago. The drive was daunting and it looked a little shady to be honest pulling up in the middle of the night. But oh my word BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. Once you walk inside, it's a totally different atmosphere - seems like a bunch of local snowmobiling fanatics? Not sure how to describe it. But the live music was decent and it was just all around a fun, laid back place to be. I will definitely be back next time I'm skiing up that way. read more

My mom and I are staying at Peek'n Peak Resort and I stumbled across this place in my searches for dinner. It was so worth us getting lost on the way to find it! We loved this place. Grabbed lunch on a rainy Saturday afternoon; got a table in the bar area. My wife loved her chicken salad, and I had the turkey melt which was awesome. Unique with good food -My husband and I were in town visiting from Tennessee and wanted to find a unique place to eat. We asked around and locals told us about this restaurant. It sits back off the road so you really don't know what you're pulling up to.....Well it's a very lovely restaurant. The food is excellent and the service was great! Tonight was my first "venture" out after surgery. I am 100% drained and don't think I want to move for a very long time, however, I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and service at Pine Junction. The staff made accommodations for me to have a seat that allowed me to elevate my foot, the hostess saw me struggle to walk to the bathroom (all the way at the entrance of the restaurant) and very kindly told me I could use one that they kept locked for handicap use that was almost right next to us, and when I walked out(in obvious discomfort) I was asked by multiple people if I needed help. And on top of this, my meal was wonderful. I don't say this wanting one ounce of attention but; I'm a firm believer that when you experience exceptional customer service, the people and business involved deserve to know about it! read more

Quick background. We had heard so much about your place we were looking forward to coming. My Son and daughter in law was just there Saturday night, singing your praises. "The place was packed but the service was great and the food delicious". Unfortunately I guess that only works on Saturday night. Sunday afternoon, starting around 4:15 pm. 15 minutes to get noticed at the bar. One beer, one Margarita, one mixed drink and one water. The Margarita was served in a leaking cup. Seated by 4:45 pmish. Ordered meal 5 pm. An hour and a half later, no appetizer, no food, nothing but excuses. I know this wasn't 'directed' at us because we sat there and watched no one being served. Constantly being told it would just be a few minutes, but really, you could not get spinach dip and chips out the of the kitchen. We were told 40 minute wait after sitting for an hour, then told.... Oh well, it may be half the fun just to get there. It will be all my fun to dine elsewhere. I am sorry you had some problem, (guessing), and I am sorry your staff could not have just told us what was going on. But I will not recommend your establishment. read more

I have been to Pine Junction twice, my first experience was great....good food and good service..the second time was tonight 7/28/2015 and the experience was 180 degrees different...I will try and be as brief as I can: - We arrived at 6 pm and had a reserved table for a party of eight - We waited nearly 30 minutes to have our drink order taken and another 20 for our drinks to arrive - We waited over an hour for our food (nothing complicated was ordered) to arrive. Half of the orders arrived and the "second wave" came 10 minutes later.....we ate in 2 shifts - Our Waiter passed by numerous times only to say "I'm sorry" but offered no information - When the waiter finally just abandoned us and the manager started to intercede we received more promises but no food - After dinner, the manager offered us cookies and ice cream..unfortunately we were not in any mood to take her up on her offer, we had a 10 year old and a 6 year old and they took her up on the offer of ice cream but it just prolonged the whole experience - in the end there was no discount on the bill and quite honestly a poor experience.....we were told the owners were not there so I understand the managers feeling caught in the middle. Some of the food was very good...some very average I will have to think about going again....beware of a potentially great or marginal experience read more

Being one of the only shows in town it can get away with long waits for food - and last Sunday was the longest (a little under an hour). Even though the wait staff alerted us to the wait it was way too long. Had they served bread, pretzels, popcorn or anything during the wait it would have made it better - they served nothing. Didn't even comp a dessert. If I'm at the French Laundry in CA I'll wait for the food, but the food wasn't worth the wait - it was pedantic - and overcooked. Not going back. read more

Whether you're a local, in town for a ski trip, or a weekend at the lake, Pine Junction is the place to be. We went in the winter, and it was exactly what we wanted on a snowy night for dinner before a day of skiing. They have a good selection of beers on tap, and they were cheap! Also the food was great, we shared delicious burgers and a killer pulled pork sandwich, and an appetizer of fried pickles. "Fried pickles??" you might be wondering, they are better than they sound. Warm and crispy, with a tasty dill dipping sauce. Its a nice, cozy, family owned and run place, where if the restaurant is busy, a friend of the restaurant will get up from their meal and start clearing tables. Love it. There aren't many good restaurants in the Findley Lake area, but this one is definitely a must-go. Kind of hard to find, just keep following the road untli you think you might have past it, and then its set back in the pines. read more
