Going to lead off with the fact that our server has worked at Pinchers for 20 years! She was amazing of course but that is a testament to a well managed spot. 2 for 1 happy hour is a great thing, but as a beer guy sitting outside in heat I just wish they came separately; bearing in mind that would add work for the server. I just don't like warm ipas. Food was good throughout our group of 8. King crab legs were perfect and came with all the tools you need. Fish and chips were delicious and not overly battered. The only low point was my grouper sandwich. Fish was kinda small and dry. My dad who lives down here and is a regular at Pinchers actually said that grouper everywhere has been lousy for a few years and that it wasn't a reflection of the restaurant itself. Pro tip; check your receipt. Cute spot. Super lively and great atmosphere. Food was really good as well. Only issue was with the bill, we paid cash and my husband just saw the total and paid without looking at the receipt, his bad. When we got to the car he handed me the receipt to put away and I looked at it and was like wow, that's a lot. And then looked at the prices. Crabs was more than what was listed on the menu, I know daily rate changes so no big deal, continued to scan the receipt and saw that we were charged for 6 bottles of beer that we didn't drink totaling $33, my husband went back in to get our refund and he got it, but man, that's not cool. I think it was about a year ago that we dined at the Pinchers in Estero in a mall near the airport. I was pleasantly surprised. Last late afternoon (430 to 530pm) ate at this Pinchers. Crowded, noisy. Service was just ok, nothing special. For two for one drinks, two Margaritas and two small glasses of house Pinot Grigio. OK. Appetizer of half dozen raw oysters good. For entrees my dining partner ordered the Stone Crab Special, cold, $35; she liked it a lot. I ordered large Grouper platter, $30, but I was a bit disappointed it did not look large (see picture) and, in any case, the grilled preparation was nothing special. We had extra hot sauce from the cruise and decided to go eat some seafood across the street. Fun restaurant, lots of signs and pictures on the walls. You see the seafood behind the glass like the grocery store. Plus they have 2 for 1 drinks all day, everyday. My friend was craving for crab legs and I wanted to use up the remainder of the hot sauce with anything. Service was great. If it didn't rain outside we would be sitting in the patio. read more

Our server was great! The drunken mahi bites were not good. The crab cakes and the mahi tacos had a lot of fish in them. This restaurant relies on the boom boom sauce and kitschy vibes versus being a serious seafood restaurant. Our bill was $118 dollars but the value felt more like $80. read more

Tony and I stopped at Pinchers Crab House in Bonita Springs FL. Tony ordered Budweiser 2 for 1 Draft with Steamed Oysters for Appetizer and I ordered Iced Water w Lemon & Lime! Tony went with the Big Tony Fish Sandwich with side of Baked Beans & Steak Fries & I went with Shrimp Tacos with side of Steak fries and Garlic Toast. The food was Great! Our waiter Shawn was fantastic JOB Well done! He has a very charismatic personality! Definitely recommend and it seems to be a chain down here! This is the 2nd Pinchers I've been to & only went because it was a girls lunch, wouldn't of been my choice, the food is MEH, the drinks are MEH, asked for my margarita to be rimmed in Tajin & there was a speck of it on the rim. I got the big fish sandwich, only ate the fish which I assume was cod, was MEH , the hoagie roll it came on would have been way too much bread. The fries look nothing like the pics on the menu & they weren't crowded for lunch which is an indication of somewhere that doesn't have good food. Make a better choice & go elsewhere. read more

Two for one drinks? Maybe beer and house wine. This was our go to for so long, but now Pinchers has changed their two for one drinks taking the Bloody Mary off of the two for menu. Every we used to frequent Pinchers at least once a week but now the well has run dry. I have not reached out to the Phelan group yet but that is next. I'm sure the food is still good but when restaurants change menus or drinks sometimes they step over a dollar to save a dime. Hopefully they will realize the patrons have dropped off since the changes. UPDATE!!! The brought the Two for one well Bloody Mary back!!! Our waitress was outstanding. She had been there for a long time and really knew her job. It was pleasant sitting outside and the way they do the table bringing a fresh piece of rolled paper table cloth is pretty unique. Wait staff writethier name on the table cloth so you can remember who to call. Food was good for fried food. French fries were out of this world. I woul go back.d. i didn't enjoy my fish, it was blackened and not what I expected in terms of seasoning. My husband had a crab cake which he liked. The manager personally came to our table and asked if he could bring me something else to eat. Perdo's customer service values are outstanding for this restaurant! We will definitely be back. The service for the happy hour oysters and drinks were great. The oysters were very delicious. The service for dinner was slow. The Shrimp Scampi seemed a lot smaller and they were not so flavorful. The green beans were very soft and light green- they had probably been swimming in water for a bit and flavorless. On other visits the green beans were bright dark green, crisp tender and flavorful. Had to update the review a bit. We go here every year when we are at our condo. Everything said in previous reviews still stands BUT do not fall for the 2 for 1 happy hour. We got draft beers and they were priced at $10 a beer!! For Draft!!! That is crazy. You are essentially paying for 2 $5 beers. Which is fine if you were going to order 2 of them. (Note* each person gets 2 for 1, so make sure if you and a friend/spouse etc just want 1 beer only ONE of you order the beer, then give the other to whomever. Still good food, and fair prices for the menu, but the buy 1 get 1 drinks is crazy at at $7 (domestic) and $10 (craft) for a draft beer. read more

Stopped in for quick bite, crab and corn soup just tasted like cream of corn and had way to much pepper, peel and eat shrimp had no flavor, also beware of the 2-1 drinks, Yingling draft was 9 dollars. Came here on a weeknight with my family of 5 at dinner and we were quickly seated. I cannot begin to tell you the level of service that we got from Steve-O. He was friendly, knowledgeable and was always coming around frequently to make sure we had what we needed. It was a busy night and he had his share of tables but he always made time to stop and talk to us. His outlook on life was refreshing and even though he had multiple tables he always made us feel like we were the only table he was serving. Food was excellent and the Maryland crabs are the best this side of Baltimore. We look forward to our next visit. read more

Everything we ate was terrible except for the Calamari. The Grouper, a 3 oz blackened piece of fish too salty to eat spit out immediately, inedible. It was a muggy June night and we were lucky to get a seat inside. Food was Ok. I don't quite know what the hype is all about? Coconut shrimp appetizer. Ftiendly and fast service with a relaxing outside seating area . The food was all cooked well and the rations were ample. Only draw back is all the dishes were on the bland side as far as seasoning goes but the cocktail and tartar sauce saved the day. Suprisngly the baked beans were delicous , garlic flavor did come through. Smoked fish dip was tasty but nothing smoked about it on the palate.
