Was out bar hopping on a Friday night. Came in just before 11pm, the restaurant was still serving food. My friend stopped over to grab a few Jamaican patties- she mentioned they were a bit dry. I've never tried the food, so I'm not sure how it is so my rating is based on the bar side. When we walked in, it wasn't too busy. They had music going and maybe 2-3 people dancing. As you walked further in on the bar side there was strong sewage/sulfur-ish smell. It was very off putting. They do have a patio in the back and the closer you got to the patio you could smell the intense which was nice but that sewage smell was a bit much. We stood by the bar for a while never being serviced. The smell made me not want to stay long anyways. My friends had been there before and said the premixed drinks weren't very good and they had 4 of them which it looked like what almost everyone was drinking. They do have a full bar though. I ended up not staying long but generally didn't seem like my vibe. This wasn't the greatest first impression but I hear really good things about the food so maybe down the line I'll check it out. read more

Just moved to the area and was excited to find a Jamaican restaurant. Overall, the food was a 4/5. The portion size was plentiful, I definitely am full and have enough left for a meal later. Everything was hot and served quickly. The curry chicken was good with a tiny kick of spicy. The slaw left much to be desired, and the rice and peas had no taste at all (although mixed with the curry chicken sauce, it was good). The customer was average. I had to say, "Hello" first to get a proper greeting outside of, "How can I help you?". But I tend to find this same thing at just about every Jamaican restaurant, so it is what it is, I suppose. The place was delicious! The service was great. The guy was working there was very helpful and very kind. My cousin and I went for a cousins meal out. And it's pretty small on the inside so on a busy day, you probably would not find seating. I think they have maybe three or four tables and it's a great to go place if you're in a hurry since the packet in a to go bag even if you were eating inside the restaurant. My only complaint was the cleanliness, and it definitely needed some cleaning. The tables were all dirty when we arrived so we ended up having to wipe off our own table. The bathrooms were not very clean. The one that I was in did not have any paper towels to dry my hands off on after. The coleslaw was a tad dry. We don't like beans and had to pick them out - kinda killed the vibe for us. The plantains were delicious! The boss lady dry rub wings stole the show. The dry rub was the perfect blend of sweet and savory! We asked for the jerk ranch and the Kingston kick sauce sides. I wasn't a fan of either and I am a saucy type of person - they were both strongly flavored. My husband enjoyed the Kingston kick with his wings! We got the oxtails and ate it and a after quite a while went to ask about the wings and they told us they forgot, got right to them, and apologized. The rum bar was open for happy hour. The options for vegetarians are limited but what is available is tasty. The curried vegetables have the right balance of savory and sweet. Most entrees, including the curried vegetables, are served over coconut rice and beans. The rice was nicely flavored but the beans were not cooked properly. It may have been a one off problem. I was also disappointed with the sparsity of beans. As a vegetarian, I too want protein so either the rice needs more beans or perhaps they could be sold as a side. My partner ordered the pork and enjoyed it. We might stop by again, but we probably would not drive out of our way to stop. read more
