If you're a trucker or traveling with one, avoid this Pilot in Tucson. I was with my boyfriend when an employee named Isaac came up to him out of nowhere and told him he had to leave , with zero explanation. No warning, no conversation, nothing. Just attitude and rudeness like he owned the place. When my boyfriend calmly asked why, Isaac kept repeating "because I said so." That is not how you treat customers, especially people who come in every day on long hauls. We both felt uncomfortable and disrespected, and the fact that nobody else stepped in to explain anything made it even worse. If this is how they handle guests, I'm honestly shocked the place is still running. Rude! Right as we were pulling up to pump employee drove up and parked right in front of us (I didn't get pump in photo). I got out and said something to him. He got smart with me. We go to the register and the lady says can I help you.? Ummm yes ma'am I'd like to pay for this......They don't ring up properly. My husband shows the lady this sign she goes to one manager and they tell her she needs another manger who comes out from the back and goes back in. Oh glorious giant Pilot! This Pilot, adjacent to Freightliner, just on the edge of Tucson off Hwy 10 is a gem! It's huge. It has all the usual Pilot convenience store options plus game room, showers, and truckers lounge. Food options are excellent with full size Subway and Taco Bell. Additionally it has soup, hot dogs, quick grab sandwiches and quick grab pizza. The beverage bar is glorious with 10 different types of fresh ground coffee and 8 different flavors of ICEE. Also, like our fave Pilot in Junction, TX, this one has a Cinnabon. Gas is crowded, but there are separate tanks for RVS. Bathrooms are clean enough with touchless toilet and paper towel dispensers. Pilot staff was coming in to clean just as I was planning on docking a star for cleanliness. This is a top notch Pilot! read more

Clean and safe place to stop! As a lone female traveler, I am always careful where to stop. If you are driving, in need of bathroom, chances are you won't be looking up on Yelp to locate closest gas station. You will look for sign before the exit and just go, right? Well if you happen to come here, and look up on reviews after, you will know what I mean by clean and safe. When I pull in to a gas station, I look around first to make sure it's safe place to get out. I was pleased with how clean it was here, cleanest bathroom at a gas station. They have rest area with TV for long distance drivers, shower and standard fast food. Staff here is friendly, and because the way it is organized I felt safe being there. My husband ant drove 10 hours and stopped to this Pilot Flying J that's is surpose to be RV friendly, that's all we look for when driving . Not RV friendly at all. We parked in a place that would not disturb Truck drivers. Oh my goodness, is this the new norm this taco bell was suppose to be my good breakfast i drove from eloy az to eat here and got the shaft....look at my picture it says it all that is 3.47 i have experienced this before when the crunch wrap first came out.here is the trick...if you can't fold or wrap a burrito, then the best this to do is put less ingredients inside that way you can fold easily and guess who suffered us the consumer i have seen more of this everywhere i buy the crunch wrap....be careful if thinking of going here...the money won't match the product. read more

This truck stop is a regular detour for us when traveling between Tucson and Sierra Vista. In the past 3 years, we have noticed that this truck stop consistently maintains clean restrooms and self-serve food stations. We have never encountered unfriendly service, just maybe a little slow on the uptake. Something I appreciate about this Pilot: there is enough room for customers to comfortably peruse both sides of the aisles. Their gift / souvenir section is well stocked with items that don't make the truck stop feel like a cheap swap meet. The pizza is so good, that we prefer it over any of the other options. As of June 2018, we also noticed that the cashiers are assertively encouraging inconsiderate drivers to pull forward to free up the gas pumps when they are done. read more

Hey man, if you're a truck driver I don't need to tell you about this place. I do have to warn all those non-truck drivers though that they play some really crazy jungle bird music outside. I think it supposed to deter the pigeons but I think it may have the adverse a fax and call them in to figure out what the heck is going on. Hahaha! This place is also great for people watching, the caliber of visitors to this location is pretty close to the awesomeness of Walmart. My favorite part of this whole establishment is there a little Cinnabon cart. You just don't see happiness in calories anymore. Well, if you're in Tucson stop by. Grab a cinnamon bun why you feel like you're in the jungles of South America and take in the questionable scenery to fill your eyes full of wonder and gaze. read more

I came here today in the morning to get some snacks and food and when I go to order my food where I just saw someone place and was given there order right away no questions ask, now it's my turn I ask the guy at the for spicy chicken sandwich, which he tells me there's no more so I ask for 2 slices of pepperoni pizza instead and he then mumbles something and turns away, I proceed to ask for the slices again then he mumbles again and begins to ignore me, now I'm just standing there waiting and his coworkers next to him tells me I need to get in line if I want to order some food, now I'm confused because I just saw him give another person (not and employee) there food no questions ask and now I'm being told I need to get in line, that guys before me was never in line and he just walked up to the counter and asked for his food why couldn't I? The gas prices are always less, YAY!! The Cinnabun place is very good. The Taco Bell does not offer iced tea. The parking lot, pulling in and out of the place is a nightmare. A few years ago I saw this location go from dirt lot to fully operational travel plaza over the course of a few months. Now it's my go-to stop for filling up my car with gas. They consistently have some of the lowest gas prices in town, and the location is really convenient for me. The inside is nice too. The convenience store has things for both regular motorists and truckers, and some of the items are pretty unique. Need a crock pot that plugs into your car's lighter outlet? This is the place for you. The Taco Bell accepts their Pilot loyalty card, which gives you a discount equal to 10% of your last purchase there. The only real downside is that the place gets very busy, especially during rush hour on weekdays. It isn't well laid-out to deal with heavy traffic. Keep an eye out for cars and pedestrians both as you drive through the parking lot and pumps. read more

This has been the place to stop on our trips to California but this time the stop wasn't so pleasant. Manager from Subway was very rude. I asked the manager if they had any of the regular subway specials and was told no. She then instructed another employee to take our order by saying "help those people". Not sure if she was annoyed that I asked about the specials or that we were Hispanic. read more

Stopped by today and out of all the Pilots I've visited this by far has the most rude staff. Especially the manager, some bald guy. I tried getting a lottery ticket from the machine and the bill got jammed, I asked the cashier that was free for assistance (some girl with short hair) and she blankly stared at me and said she didn't know what to do. I waited for her to assist a costumer and then asked again what I should do. She said she didn't know and turned to the other girl with silver hair who in return just shrugged her shoulders. After a few minutes the manager was finally called. Mind you, the store only had about two customers looking around. He comes looking rather bothered and asks me where I inserted the money. WHERE DOES HE SUPPOSE I WOULD INSERT THE MONEY? Of course in the money slot! I asked him for the money I had inserted but was straight up ignored and after watching him basically fight the machine, he slammed the door closed and walked away. I've encountered rude staff but the whole place here seems miserable in every aspect. Everything is unkept. Oh well, what can one do. read more
