This place was featured on The Travel Channel, so of course my husband and I had to give it a try. It was a little intimidating for the mere fact that it is a truck stop. I was expecting fat, rude truckers and dirty prostitutes roaming around, but I was pleasantly surprised! We walked in and the first thing I noticed was how clean it was! We were greeted by a friendly guy who took us to our seats. The menu was extensive. Being vegetarian, there wasn't much for me to pick from, but I managed. I got the pancakes, hash browns, and omelette. All were delicious, but the helpings were so huge I had to get a to-go box. If you live in Tucson or you're just visiting, this place is a must-go. I don't think I'll go out of my way to eat there again, but I wouldn't be opposed for it. The four stars are for price (expensive) an the fact that our waitress never came oer to check on us once. This place is okay. The food is decent but the service from what I experienced that day was terrible! It took about 10min to get coffee and another 20 to place and order. It should be noted and no disrespect but my server was in her 70s and she took forever to bring out the food. After half and hour of waiting I had to politely ask her about my order, which had been ready for quite some time. Again, I'm sure this doesn't reflect the service of the place in general but it should be worth noted that places like a truck stop where quick service should be its #1 priority, management should be aware of its personnel's capabilities. Do NOT STAY AT THE TRIPLE T MOTEL! My husband and I fell in love with this outdated, cozy & convenient little motel! It was nostalgic & we thought the customer service was OK.. Until the morning came along & the front desk was full of racist, rude &I just plain MEAN group of personnel who treated us as though we were an inconvenience. We brushed our shoulders, as our motto is "killem with kindness". I can tell that this place probably had that traditional truckstop charm at one time but that charm seems to be gone now. The guy at the counter acted like he didn't want to be their and any customers were a bother. The restaurant was ok. Food was just average but expensive. Unless you're a trucker looking for fuel and a quick meal, I think you go here for the atmosphere, the down home friendliness of the waitresses, and the show. This cafe is kinda like cowboy meets Denny's. Still, you'll enjoy seeing the interesting characters that come in this place. Just don't stare. It feels like you're in a movie set and all these interesting people in costume are actors.This is also where the cops eat by the way in case you've got warrants. Let me first start by saying I am not a trucker, passed through with a bus full of my cheer girls. This is where the bus driver elected to stop... Twice. This place does seem like a truckers paradise but not so much for a family/traveler/group looking for a potty break and quick grab and go snack. There isn't really any food like you'd typically find at a gas station, but they do have a diner that was supposedly rated #2 for Trucker Diners. Unless you have a call sign and 18-wheels, I'd say keep driving to a different rest stop that is much more 4-wheel friendly. read more

My sister and I were in town taking care of our mom after her open heart surgery. My mom and stepdad love this place and her favorite dishes are the chicken fried steak and the liver and onions. My sister and I shared the chicken fried steak with white gravy and whipped mash potatoes. It was a first for me. The steak was delicious, the gravy was rich and a bit peppery. TTT was originally Tucson Truck Terminal and is now TTT Truck Terminal, a recursive acronym. For a truck stop diner it's hyped to be excellent, and the sign on the door says it was #2 in the country for a Food TV special on truck stop restaurants. It didn't quite live up to the hype, but almost. While I didn't get to try the apple pie this time, the breakfast I did get was decent and the service was really fast. WOW that what I have to say just WOW We stopped by for breakfast at Omar's great food great service as always. HOWEVER.... the TTT store has awful service the person at the counter was VERY RUDE and did not es y to help us instead she was demeaning. We wanted to buy a few items from the counter in the front of the store she was busy so we waited since we notice, she did not acknowledge us or said anything we just noticed he busyness. When we thought she was done with her transaction as she was walking away from the register she turned to look at us we said "hello" and she said nothing made eye contact and flipped her had towards us and keeper walking away from us. My husband went to find her in the back of the store and advised her we were interested in purchasing a few items from the fro t counter. She got sassy and said "well are you purchasing it?!" My husband said yes maybe ever 2 or 3 of the items. She got snarky and stopped toward the register counter instead. My husband asked her why was she being so rude and she said with a big attitude "I'm not!" We tilde her she had been ignoring us she said "well I didn't see you and you didn't come up to the counter" with a bigger attitude. I just said WOW she kept saying you didn't come up to the counter pointing frantically at the register counter. We asked for the manager and she said "I am the manager!" This is one of my favorite restaurant's in the entire planet. It is out of our way so we can't come here as often as I would like, but my favorite item off the menu is the 3 enchilada plate. Yummy!! Portion size is hugggge. Comes with salsa and chips for $11.00 something. Next favorite is the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken is huge with loads of cheese and sauce. Last favorite would be the belly buster. Comes with two pancakes the size of you're head, two bacon's, three eggs, hash browns and two biscuits with gravy for $13.50. Fed my husband and I and we felt super full. The service can be really good or pretty terrible and the inside looks a lot like a country diner and Denny's got married, but I love it. Unfortunately they are not open 24/7 anymore and close at 10:00. Last, its cold so bring a jacket! read more
