This Pilgrim is my go-to for regular dry cleaning. It is right off of Lake/Rt 25-7 so its easy to get to and they have plenty of parking. Prices are reasonable. For some reason, dry cleaning in the twin cities is weirdly expensive, but Pilgrim is reasonable. I bring all my work shirts here and they always come back nicely cleaned and pressed. They are customer-focused, too. One time, I got a shirt back with a stain on the neck that they did. I brought it back, no problem, we will fix it. Absolutely wonderful!! I had a dress hemmed here and it turned out perfect AND she did it in 2 days (my fault for not taking it in 2 weeks prior to when I needed it). I leave Sunday night for a pharm rep show and didn't realize they weren't open Sundays so I called at 3:45 because I totally forgot and they close at 4 and she said she would stay and wait until I got there such amazing customer service I cannot thank this team enough!! I sell fashion online so I'm always looking for a good dry cleaners. I have had terrible luck in the Uptown/St Louis park area. Pilgrim had some coupons so I tried them. it went ok at first. They really pushed the pickup and delivery but I'm not far so I opted out. I continued to get weekly messages about it. After a month and a half I was driving with a friend and my cell rang. It was pilgrim cleaners telling me I owed them 85 dollars. I said no u have the wrong person. Long story short everytime I was paying for cleaning, their computer system was charging my card like 10 dollars and putting the rest on my delivery account that I didn't know was active. So I would go in, swipe my card but only be paying a small portion without me or the clerk knowing. So the accountant figured it out and they told me. I told them that really isn't my fault. If I go to target and the clerk forgets to ring up a bag of groceries, they don't call me at home later and tell me to come in and pay 34.95! Of course not! They eat the cost. at any rate I agreed to pay half simply because they had an order I had just dropped off and I was afraid they wouldn't give it back. The next day I called their home office and spoke to someone. That's who gave me half off. So I paid it picked my last order and told the girl I wouldn't be back. I was nice cuz she could care less if I came back. I did send and email to their offices stating my problem and that I didn't think it was fair. I received a generic reply from some VP. You could tell he hadn't read my email. He basically repeated everything I said with a question lol. So I will never be back. I have placed reviews for them on other sites and as of now I haven't heard a word from anyone at their company. So I will continue to write more reviews and let as many people as will listen not to do business with this company. They have zero customer service abilities and obviously don't care about their customers. Avoid this cleaners!! There are so many other places to chose from. read more

I've never had a problem, and have always received great speedy and quality service. I've had several suits cleaned there three times. Each time, Pilgrim Cleaners finished in one day, although it did cost more compared to other places. What really struck me was that with the most recent cleaning, I received an e-mail from Pilgrim saying "thank you for your service". Sure, it's probably an automated message that's sent to every customer, but other dry cleaners that I've been too have never done that. I plan to return to Pilgrim Cleaners to get my suits cleaned again, even though there are several cheaper and closer places in the Uptown area. It's hard to leave to go anywhere else. read more

Best cleaners in town. First of all, they employ the nicest and most courteous employees. Second, they always do a great job with my suits and shirts. Third, their prices are quite competitive with other similar business. Forth, they can even deliver your item to you, super convenient. Editing this review since I've been back several times since. Service has improved and you can sometimes be greeted with a smile when you walk in the door. I've had no issues since the incident below and most of my basic cleaning needs are met here. Let's start with the actual cleaning of my clothes. I have work shirts, pants ,and skirts cleaned here and it's satisfactory. However, nicer things like sweaters, dresses, and coats, I would definitely take to a different place. I had a trench coat cleaned here, but they didn't remove my stains the first time. The second go around was free, but it still didn't remove my stains. When I asked why they couldn't change it they said there was some material they are unable to clean off, but they couldn't tell me specifically what kind of stains they couldn't remove. So it was disheartening to know if I had stains in the future they wouldn't be able to clean them off. I had a merino wool sweater cleaned here and the fabric of my sweater was damaged when returned. The softness of the sweater is gone and now it's just an old itchy sweater I can't wear any more. I have no idea what they did to it, but avoid getting your nicer sweaters cleaned here - definitely glad I didn't bring any of my cashmere here. I recently also brought in a maxi dress that had some red stains on the collar. Let's just say I have pink stains now instead of red satin. Perhaps the more irritating thing was I received a letter with $5 off my next cleaning shortly after the trench coat incident, but when I tried to redeem it when I picked up my clothes, they told me I could only take the $5 off when I dropped off the clothes. I have a wedding coming up and needed my bridesmaids dress shortened. They were right down the street from me so I thought it would be easy to bring it there... I was so happy I did! They were great and QUICK. I went in on a Tuesday afternoon and the dress was done by noon the next day! I was pleasantly surprised. I think the managers name is Stacy, she was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place and will come back here in the future if I need more dresses altered! read more

I have the option of getting my dry cleaning picked up and dropped off from this location but their staff is so kind, so friendly, and so helpful, and it's on my way to and from so I choose to stop in, drop off and pick up. A Day late and $10 long. Not only did they not have my three pairs of pants (hem only) ready in 7 days like they said, it took 8 instead. On top of that they charged me an extra $10 above my original receipt (which showed price,work,tax). After asking for my pants the girl replied that they weren't sent back yet, which makes me believe they didn't even alter them on site like they say they do. Worst experience in years! Avoid this place!!! The two young women behind the counter seem much more interested in looking at their manicure work than helping any of the customers. When I finally got their attention... I gave them a pair of shorts to be cleaned and pressed. Asked them what they would charge to resew a button. They said it would be free. I came back a week later. Again, the same dazed and disinterested young women behind the counter. I looked at the bill for the shorts. They wanted an additional $5 for sewing on the button. When I asked for an explanation, they seemed quite put out. "Well, I don't know what they said last week. That must have been someone else on duty who didn't know what she was talking about." Upon further examining the bill, they pointed out the $5 was for three (!) buttons having been sewn on my shorts. When we looked at the shorts, we noticed that there were only two(!) buttons on the shorts! And the second one had clearly not been recently re-attached! Nevertheless....The clerks had no interest in apologizing for the mistake. And proceeded to ask me again to pay the $5! Who hires these people?! It is one thing to be incompetent. It's another thing to be rude. It was the most appalling experience I've had as a consumer in years!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!! read more

I have been using Pilgrim, both Minnetonka pre 2011 and then this St. Louis Park location since 2011, and have 'invested' well over $10,000 into dry-cleaning as my household contains two business people. On Friday I picked up my clothing and was told 1 piece was ripped and a manager would contact me. Fast forward to Wednesday when I had heard nothing. I found another piece ripped/shredded same way as piece on Friday from same batch. When I went in with the shirt this morning I was told that it was that way prior to cleaning and they just missed the rips in the clothing. They said there were two additional shirts they had that were ripped that they had not returned to me last week and pulled them from a bag. Ironic how they all had the same odd ripped/shredded/cut are in a similar fashion. Last I checked over the last decade I have never brought in a ripped item, nor would I. Secondly, I was told they would credit me the dry cleaning amount ($4.00?) for the one shirt they showed me last Friday, but not the rest. Unacceptable. I told them to keep their credit and that I would never do business with them again. You have lost a committed customer over this one order and the clearly poor business acumen that I have encountered. At $50-$120 per week in dry cleaning these days, I see my money is best spent where the cleaner can take responsibility and has integrity. The money does not matter quite as much as the customer service and integrity. I am not going to photograph each piece of clothing I take to the dry cleaner before taking it. Oddly the clothing was all suppose to be done same day (last Friday), but 5 shirts never quite made it until the following Tuesday. Many other quality options out there to use rather than taking a risk if your clothes are worth dry cleaning! read more

I dropped off two rugs with stains. I told the woman what the stains were and asked if I should have them cleaned elsewhere or if they could get the stains out. She said that they could get them out. She said if they couldn't they would send them out to another place. After two "cleanings" the stains remain. Now they say I can't get a refund and if they send them elsewhere I have to pay again. I bring some t- shirts for pressing and 2 others to remove coffee spot. I ask the girl at the customer service if they can remove the spots and she assured they can do it. Today when I go to bring my t- shirts I ask here if they remove the spots and she told me I think so but when I see the t- shirt I find the spot still their. So I told here if you are not sure don't say this to the customers, she does not say anything she only offer me to take the t-shirt back and try again for free. The thing is even though she did not remove the spot as she promised me, but she charged me for the service because she offer me to do it again for free. read more

This was my first time at a Pilgrim Drycleaners and it will be my last. I brought in a simple summer dress to be cleaned. It is cotton dress with no stains on it. I was charged $17.69. This is outrageous! If this was not bad enough the person behind the counter never got off of her phone the whole time I was there. She never looked up at me at all. She took my ticket, crumbled it up, found my dress, took my money, and never got off the phone. No thank you. No come back again. Don't worry, I won't. read more
