I had been a customer for over 10 years. Recently, Pilgrim screwed up a pair of suit trousers -- pressed them completely wrong. They admitted their mistake, tried to remedy their error once and failed. I then had my tailor (who made the suit) properly press the trousers; problem solved. Pilgrim credited back my total cleaning order (even though I only asked for the suit to be credited) and then paid what my tailor charged me to fix their admitted mistake. I thanked them for that. Now, however, with what can only be described as spiteful revenge, they have refused to do business with me when I tried to have them pick up dry cleaning -- after 10 years! -- all because their admitted screwup cost them about $150. They have no customer-sense. They should not be used by anyone. read more

The Pilgrim on Dupont near Cub Foods and Lake Street is my home town cleaners. I really enjoy seeing Paige Gayle when I go there. Recently, I had a complicated clean/repair job and she kept me apprised of the progress on it. She ALSO found an item that I had been told I had already picked up and paid for (when I knew that wasn't the case). She unearthed it by looking carefully, everywhere. I have always been very satisfied with my clothes when I get them back from being drycleaned. I have never had any article of clothing damaged in any way, EVER. Originally I had posted a review of Pilgrim Cleaners stating that I was disappointed with the cost for a shirt I had had drycleaned there. Within an hour of posting that original review, the owner of the business contacted me personally to discuss my review and why I was unhappy. That, in and of itself, is a very respectable gesture and makes me want to do further business with them in the future. However, when I picked up said drycleaning I pleasantly found that the owner had made it right. He made it right, above and beyond anything that I would have thought possible. Wanna wash your down?! Go for it! Came here Sunday to wash my down pillows and was really surprised it wasn't busy! Got in and was able to use the industrial size washers and dryer. It's spendy to use them but cheaper than dry cleaning pillows. Cost $11 for the industrial washer and $4 for industrial dryer. $15 total and washed 6 down pillows. Well worth it. Location is good too. They have a parking lot and across the street are a few shops and restaurants if you want to kill time. There's nothing todo here really so bring a book or tablet. I've been coming here to do my laundry since our machine broke. Other than the washers being a bit pricey and the dryers occasionally eating quarters, I really like the facility. It's clean and quiet and the staff are always friendly, and whenever the quarters get eaten I've had no trouble getting help. Even when it's busy I have no trouble finding a washer to use. And the wifi was perfectly fine for me, just ask the attendant for the password. My only word of advice; come in from the Vincent Ave side and not the 66th St side. Even when there wasn't construction, if you were trying to turn left against traffic, forget it. It's much easier to come in from the back. read more

I have not used their dry cleaning service but I walked in here for the laundromat portion, & was impressed with the setup. Giant glass windows with tons of light flooding in. A variety of machines as well as Giant Capacity Washers & giants (seriously they're monstrous !). 2 little waiting sections (including tables !) and multiple large flat screen TVs around the place. They also have a Soda vending machine, Laundry product vending machine, what looked like a super-reliable change machine and the greatest feature ever... a classic arcade machine with classics like donkey kong, frogger, etc. The pricing was a little higher than I'm used to paying for an 18-Pound Frontload Washer, but it was not a bad place to do laundry. There is a Super America gas station right next door for convenience and the place itself is not too far from 62/35W. This place claims to have WIFI but I didn't see a network on my iOS device, so cannot confirm. A good place ! Not ghetto @ all. I will return for their washing machines. read more

The worse service experience I ever had, and I'v been in management for over 15 years. The accepted my boots to have them cleaned, and made me pre-pay as they had to "send them out", so I paid $52.67. After 3 weeks they cam back and looked like they did when I gave them! I contacted a Lisa at the corporate office that said they (Don's Leather cleaning) clean them by hand, and they did the best they could. She said she could send them back out OR ofer me 10% back................So I am suppose to go without them more weeks. Their website says they have free wireless. There's a big sign as you walk into the store saying "Free Wireless!" My iPod found no free wireless, although it did find password-protected wireless. I asked about a password and was told, "oh, you shouldn't need it. But you'll need to sit over by that door. If it's working. Which it probably isn't." On the plus side, the machines worked fine and I left with clean clothes. But I chose this laundromat over other options because I thought I could use the wifi to entertain myself while my clothes washed and I'm still irritated that it's apparently mostly mythical. read more

Do not waste your time! I made the mistake of going back after my boyfriend's $80 dress shirt was ruined. (His white shirt is now a blue tinge and the bottons were broken) I bought a new dress for tonight (NYE). It's a silky/satin dress, but had wrinkles all over it. I called last night asking if I could have the wrinkles steamed out. Making it very clear it was not dirty, and I needed it by tonight. The girl confirmed this was absolutely fine and will be ready by 4pm tonight. So I drop my dress off at 9:30am, confirmed again what I needed with the boy who took my dress at the counter. I went to pick up my dress and it was at the bottom of a dirty clothes hamper with even more wrinkles than before! The girl who was now working said there was no way it would be ready till Tuesday! No empathy or apologies at all. Now my dress is dirty and is more wrinkled. I have to leave to the event in a couple hours. I had to rush to the mall and buy a whole new dress. I showed up to the 66th St. location in Richfield, MN on Friday 01/03/20 at about 2:15pm. I needed something "pressed only", urgently. I thought that they shut down the presses at 3pm, but I was told that they were done pressing for the day and I would have to wait until the following morning. That is when our Angel, Linda, walked up with her coat and gloves on, her purse on her shoulder and car keys in her hand. She looked at me and asked when I needed the 2 items done, and I told her as early as possible. She took the items from me and asked me to give her 10 minutes. Linda took my husbands dress slacks and suit shirt in the back and ironed them by hand. She did not know that we were attending his niece's funeral the following day. She also did not know that the passing of his niece was such an awful, tragic, and highly publicized event, that it definitely made us question our faith in humanity. She knew nothing of what was going on with us internally. She just was a naturally and genuinely kind and thoughtful woman. When she brought me back out the slacks and shirt, I wanted to pay her, I truly did, but she refused. She said "Consider it a belated Christmas gift, I could tell by the look on your face that you really needed this done, and I just wanted to help you." I tried to leave the money again, I feel like she deserves so much more than just $20 bucks though!!! Linda, Thank you! There was a slight issue with locating the garmet I dropped off, but the owner himself stepped up in a big way to help me out. I received my garmet that same day and it was in perfect shape. Worst experience I have ever had. I brought in my off-white winter coat to be cleaned and it came out looking worse than when it went it. It literally had dirt lines on the arms. Their DM Lisa said it was due to dirt on the elbow. No dirt on the elbow when the coat when in. There were dirt marks on the front of my coat. After trying to fix it, Lisa determined that there was not much more they could do. Thank you, Pilgrim Cleaners for ruining my winter coat. My recent experience here was not good. I had a very expensive, nice dress that I got dry cleaned and when I came to pick it up the stains were still there and the threads on my belt were all coming loose. I took it back and they offered to remove the stains for free so I left it there. When I came back again most of the stains were out, but the belt was still a mess. I feel like they could have compensated me for my troubles. I will not be going back. It is also very expensive. read more

I was told that they had a lady who specializes in cleaning wedding apparel. The lady would be in contact with me. Months went by and I happened to be washing a comforter and remembered my dress. I thought I would pick it up and just not worry about having it cleaned. The dress HAD been cleaned. Total price: $225.28. This location has a laundromat attached with over-sized washers to use, and over-sized dryers NOT available for customers to use. The over-sized dryers are hogged by the employees of the Dry Cleaning/Laundry Services side. The employees were fully aware that I was using 3 over-sized washers-To use them, you have to face the nearby employees of the Dry Cleaning/Laundry Services side. One of the employees nodded and said good morning to me, as I was plugging coins into the over-sized washers. Even though the employees knew I was using the over-sized washers, they continued to hog all the over-sized dryers, opening up the controls to reset the timers, without having to plug in any coins. I had to stuff my over-sized items into normal sized dryers, and dance back and forth to keep shutting the doors that were popping open. I could understand that they need to use the over-sized dryers also, but when there are customers waiting to use them, they should share. The pictures already loaded to Yelp, show the over-sized washers available for customer use, and the over-sized dryers that were NOT available for customer use. Do not go to this location if you expect to be able to wash AND dry over-sized items. read more

We have used the Maple Grove location for five years. We do shirt drop-off on Wednesdays, picking them up on Friday, with other items as needed. After you do so many items you get a lovely $10 discount to use at a future date. Last Wednesday I dropped off several shirts and a comforter. I had a $10 coupon, and knew that this would be a big enough order that I could use it. I picked them up today, giving the clerk the coupon and my credit card. When I signed the credit card slip, I saw no evidence of the $10 discount. She told me that it has to come in with the incoming order, that it couldn't be used now. She pointed out that "Incoming Order" was stamped at the top of it. I told her that I didn't know what that meant; it didn't say something like, "Bring in at time of incoming order for credit," or I would have given it to her then. I told her all other discounts get credited at time of check-out, and I thought theirs did, too. She pointed at the "Incoming Order" stamp, shook her head, and turned away from me to help another customer. Totally unacceptable customer service. There were so many other ways it could have been handled, especially with a regular customer. I have to think about whether we will go back. read more
