I really like their bakery. The rolls, cake and donuts are great, and reasonably priced. The rest of the grocery store is hit or miss for prices, as well as finding out you bought expired food. I mainly come here to stock up on Yuppy Hill eggs, rolls/bread, and then bakery treats for special occasions. Staff seems friendly; sometimes the deli is slow and workers seem more attentive to tasks behind the counter than customers waiting. The store is generally kept rather clean. read more

Date of visit: September 3, 2025 I've never understood the name of this chain, when you think about it, it's actually really weird, but we seem to overlook it because of the cute pig in the logo. At any rate, I needed some lottery tickets and was hoping that they would have a vending machine since the Kwik Trip down Green Bay was nearly empty. I found the store to be clean and welcoming, not as flashy or shiny as send a Sendik's, but inviting in more a small town way and something tells me that is exactly what they are going for here. The lottery vending machine was near the Customer Service desk and had exactly what I was looking for, allowing me to get in and out relatively easily, which is always a bonus for me. I didn't see a clearance aisle and didn't really need anything else at the moment, but would definitely stop here again before or after trivia down the street at Foxtown. read more

Piggly Wiggly in Union Grove, Wisconsin price gouges. Compared to other grocery chains, the Pig is way out of line with its prices. I save so much more at Pick-n-Save. While in the area after eating breakfast I was on my way to my local stores closer to home to get in the weekend shopping and I thought why can't I stop here in town before I head home in a completely different scene than I'm used to so I stopped. This inconspicuous looking piggly was in a strip mall with no stores that stood out so they all blended together for a very generic property. The first thing I noticed was that this is a much cleaner and newer looking store than mine but a little smaller. I needed some fresh vegys for my slow cooker lamb shank that I had planned for dinner and the produce section looked absolutely wonderful and I would find all I needed here. The store was bright with nice new looking coolers with all the usual grocery items, I liked the soup/one pot section that had bags of beans, vegys and cuts meats etc all in one spot for a complete impulse meal buy. Sunday just after 8am I found the store to be very quiet with limited shoppers so I was able to get in and out with no problem. My impulse stop for my dinner items worked well and I liked shopping in a new place that I would never have stopped at if I didn't have breakfast in the area, the pig is my default favorite of the big full price grocery stores for some reason even though I shop at other places out of compl convenience. read more

My main grocery, this location has pretty fresh produce, a good selection over all and frequent sales. The beer selection and build-your-own is good for a suburban grocery but the meat selection leaves a little to be desired. read more

An oath I have made an agreement with myself that I will not shop at Pick-N-Save ever again. I live very near one. I won't enter their doors. My family deserves better. I am the kind of person that does not mind shopping on a daily basis to provide a decent, healthy meal for my family. Pick-N-Save does not allow me to make this happen. I wish I could give this place negative 3 stars. One Friday I did some casual shopping at Piggly Wiggly and the cashier charged my card 5.00 dollars instead of the 30.00 I owed. I didn't notice and went on my merry way. A few hours later, in the middle of the work day, I get a call from the store telling me I didn't pay the proper amount. I totally understood and told them I would be in the next day to pay the amount. Then I got verbally slapped in the face with "if you don't come in by the end of the work day, the cashier you dealt with will be fired." WHAT???? I was enraged beyond belief. I essentially was blackmailed by this store. I am in utter disbelief to this day to how I was treated. I thought I would share the abbreviated version with you all. On top of all this, Piggly Wiggly has the worst produce in the area. It's disgusting, and most of it is already past due when you get it. I think you can get just as great of deals at Metro Market down the road, so I go out of my way to shop there instead. read more

Regrettably, this is my new corner grocery store. I have downgraded in regards to character from Koppa's Full Belly Deli and the Riverwest Co-op with this being your stale and boring grocery store that lacks a personality. As I mentioned above this place is pretty bland and doesn't offer a variety in organic or ethnic cooking options/spices/produce/etc. I go here since it is close to my house yet half the time I make the longer trek to Sendiks or Metro Market for the better quality meats and to find spices and other ethnic or harder to find items. Great place to grab your staples off your grocery list. I would skip this for your cuts of meat and if your grocery list includes any ethnic or organic items. read more

This is a smaller grocery store but is perfect to run in and grab a few things. Staff is friendly and store is always well stocked and clean. The cashiers give your kids a coin for the toy machines at check out. read more

**Please keep in mind that all Piggly Wiggly's are owned by different people. This review is specifically for the store on Mequon Road in Mequon, WI.** This store might be nice to shop at, but convenience isn't the only thing I look for in a store. I also care about things like prices, quality of product and how a store treats its employees. This particular Piggly Wiggly does very poor in all three categories I just listed. I would stop here on my way home from work because it was easy, but now I make sure to go to Sendiks, which is about 10 minutes out of my way. Not only are Piggly Wiggly's prices always much higher than other stores, I would have to spend way too much time in the produce section desperately seeking a quality item. Let's say I want to make tacos. I need lettuce, tomato, cilantro, lime, onion, and then some other groceries like taco shells, cheese, meat, etc. If I go to Sendiks, I am in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes. At Piggly Wiggly I spend more than 15 minutes just in the produce section trying to find decent produce. Totally unacceptable. A word of advice, take an extra 5 minutes and go to the Piggly Wiggly in Cedarburg, or make an even smarter choice and go to Sendiks. read more

Lack of selection and poor customer service are a staple of the Mequon Piggly Wiggly. I used to regularly shop at the Pig in Cedarburg (different ownership I believe) and was extremely impressed with the store. When I moved to Mequon I decided to give the Mequon Pig a try and was instantly disappointed with the bare shelves and lack of selection. Unless you need THE BASICS (milk, eggs, water) I would HIGHLY recommend shopping elsewhere and saving yourself a second stop. On top of the poor selection, the customer service is rough. Employees have been unwilling to help and will regularly shrug and give a response of "I don't know" when asked where a specific item is located. As a former employee and regular patron of a different Pig store, I am very disappointed to have to give the Mequon Piggly Wiggly a generous 1 star rating. read more

Super disappointing, I stopped in to get a gift card for a friends birthday and they they told me that they only accept cash for gift cards. I informed them that i only had a credit card and asked why they would not take them. "We have had problems with them" was the clerks only response At that point another clerk came up and informed me I could pay with a debit card and get cash back. Again I told them I only have a credit card on me and I just got blank stares... I just said they I wont take any of it. I have shopped at this store on and off for nearly 20 years. Total disappoint, they didn't even offer any other solution. I just don't understand if I am paying with a credit card why would it be a problem. Makes NO sense to me...not only did my friend not get a birthday present today but they lost a long time customer. read more

EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT in this specific Piggly Wiggly. Earlier this month I purchased 5 four packs of the Central Waters Ltd Edition Cassian Sunset for $23.49+ tax (there is no other local establishment in the Milwaukee/Ozaukee area selling this beer (at the time of 1st release in 2017) for any price higher than $18.99). I questioned the price at the point of sale and the manager of the liquor counter became argumentative with me. I was so concerned that she was going to tell me that I could not purchase the beer (as it is that limited) that I simply stayed quiet and continued the transaction. After finding the beer for less than $16.00 at one of the other Piggly Wiggly franchise locations, I called this specific store to report the pricing discrepancy. It took three calls before I could even get the store manager, Ryan, on the phone. After a brief investigation by Manager Ryan, I received a return call explaining that they would not make any price adjustment but I could sell the beer back to them. I am quite certain that it is not legal for a business to offer a return on beer or liquor and find it suspicious that they offered to "buy it back". My guess is that they were going to mark it up even higher as it now cannot be acquired locally. I am a local Mequon customer who will never return to this establishment nor spend another penny with them. Your meat department and fish department have certainly grown in quality and selection. You had a fresh fish and seafood on special in a special area of the store. The deals were outstanding and I wish that you had that offering more often. I am now going to this grocery store frequently.
