They have a whole section dedicated to where the chefs are whipping it up fresh in front of you. All the things: nigiri, makisushi, chirashi sushi, and big ol' rolls. I like to go for the combo-box options to try a variety. Over the weekend we had a combo with the philly, dragon roll, and crunchy shaggy dog. It was the perfect app-type platter for a group of friends we had over. Everything is genuinely so fresh and flavorful.

I got rid of Shopping Cart because I was having trouble getting good produce. I would always have to go back to the store and return the produce after having entered very specific and detailed notes about what I wanted. I truly could not have put more information in the notes so I was getting very frustrated and thought it was Metro Market. Then I realized that the app has its own employees independent of the store. I canceled my subscription and ordered directly from the store! OMG! What a difference!!!! They actually read my notes and took the time get what I wanted. The service manager even came out to my car to make sure she explained the level of care they took to read the notes and try to get exactly what I wanted. She could tell that I was particular and wanted to get it right. I was so amazed by that and extremely impressed. I am used to this level of care inside THIS store. The staff inside almost always conducts themselves this way when you shop here in person. I always feel like royalty in this store. They have, what I like to call, "ambassadors" instead of managers. Their managers actually make eye contact and talk to you like you matter and your business means something to them. I used this store to cater a birthday party on March 11, 2020. Yes, that's the day the pandemic was announced in the United States. For me and my friends, the day was memorable because of the great food the deli served us NOT because of the pandemic announcement. We will forever be grateful because it was the last time we were able to physically get together face-to-face. We all remember that food as EPIC and life affirming -- even to this day. I love this store! I don't know how you do it but you truly are ambassadors for good business practices! Don't stop doing it the way you do it! It matters to this community! It matters to people like me -- people who cannot always get out and do their own shopping and must rely on others to help them because of physical disabilities! Whoever did my shopping, did a phenomenal job! Please let them know, I am exceptionally happy. Impressed with the quality and displays on the inside of the store. We were there to pick up a balloon bouquet and small toys for a birthday party. The staff was very friendly and helpful at finding what we needed. The checkout line moved quickly. Self-checkout is available. I'm sure check-outline efficiency depends upon the time of day and the day of the week. I love the number of fresh prepared meals available here. They are always fresh and tasty.

The big draw is the higher quality organic fruits and vegetables. Also, a good selection of high quality meats and seafood. The only downside is their prices are a bit higher than other grocery stores but it is a good trade off given a large selection of specialty items that are harder to find in other stores, including, Fresh Thyme, and Whole Foods. Plenty of parking and quick in and out for the most part. Outpost Natural Food has become a regular stop for the wife and I when looking for organic produce. -- If you have not been to Outpost before, you should definitely check it out. Lots of unique specialty item for sale. Also, it's good to support CO-OP stores like this. They add greatly to the local community.

Hearsay is that if an item is all the way to the other side of the store and the employee is lazy or overworked then the item is cancelled for being out of stock. This is the third order where things were canceled which are shown in stock. My $69 order was cut down to two itens at $19. The store itself looks like it was looted so it could be that stock cannot be located but you would think that management would encourage their teams in team meetings to try to keep things in order and to work earnestly in fulfilling orders. Walmart plus is not a free service.

The produce is very often unacceptable. But that's not even the main reason we don't go. The general vibe--in terms of the looks and feel of the place, and in terms of the unattentiveness of the staff (except for the pharmacy)--is like you're at a Walmart... Just a very unpleasant shopping experience. I was recently at a meeting of neighbors and heard others in my neighborhood are also avoiding it, for similar reasons. Hopefully they will turn this branch around to make it more like the Metro in Mequon (which shows that Kroger knows how to get it right, when they decide they want to), or just close this depressing place down and bring us another grocery store that is more attuned to the growing needs of Brown Deer.
