I was with a group and we stopped in for some hotel supplies, but happened to be there the week of the hurricane, so water (our main need) was scarce. We did manage to get some bigger bottles which was nice. I didn't really shop for much else, but it's a nice store, with self-checkouts and regular checkouts, and everything a Publix has!

Anyway, I was on my 30-minute trek back home when thoughts triggered me to stop & check the +$60 receipt: My in-store phone scan of the Rocker Switches was $5.10; and the shelf card for the batteries was $3.99. Respectively, the receipt lists $6.64 (x2) and $4.74. This is potentially -$4 for me. The check-out was complete by 10:43:54. (The store seemed clean, and the associates seemed friendly). One of my main reasons for preferring the self-checkout is that my attention span stays neat and I generally spot discrepancies immediately. All of their self-checkouts were already, and disappointingly, disabled for the evening. This might read a bit dramatically for some; but I'm crying on the inside.

Their pickers or their delivery drivers are absolutely useless and do not care enough to actually look at your order. For the 2nd time yesterday, out of 21 items, 11 were missing. Only 1 item was listed as out of stock. Either the picker completely skipped the refrigerated items on the list, or the delivery driver kept the items for herself. Since their delivery driver calls and makes you come out because she is terrified of dogs (I do not own any animals), I would bet she kept the items knowing that Walmart would refund me. There is NO option to make a request for the missing items, only to ask for a refund (which by the way they have up to 10 days to do). The customer care is AI or computer and no help at all. I WANTED MY GROCERIES, not a refund!! No way that 11 items of cheese, yogurt, frozen dinners were not available. Solution: since I could not get the Eufaula, AL Walmart to help me, I changed my store location to Phenix City, AL. ALL of my groceries were delivered quickly and efficiently, exactly as ordered. And with a much friendlier driver. I WILL NEVER order from or walk through the doors of the Eufaula Walmart. And it is a shame, because only 2 weeks previously I spent over $200 with them, and my husband is in there frequently. Never again. Trust me. . .Phenix City Walmart is the one to use.

I prefer Dollar General over Piggly Wiggly because it is less crowded and a bet less expensive, but they have a small selection of groceries compared to Piggly Wiggly so shop there if you need a lot. The employees are very kind at this location. My only complaint is that there are large pallets full of unshelved merchandise on a lot of the aisles, which makes it hard to shop, especially when using a cart. But, in general, this is a great, newly-remodeled Dollar General, which I highly recommend.

Every time I shop here, the level of customer service is shockingly low, I honestly don't know if it's a management issue, an issue with the area, or both, but it's consistent. The absolute worst areas are the deli and seafood counters. The employees there treat customers like an absolute burden or the enemy just for asking for service. It is a deeply uncomfortable and weird energy for a workplace where people are being paid to assist the public. If you hate working here that much, let someone else have the job who actually wants it. The only saving grace of this store is the meat department-the guys back there are always friendly, polite, and helpful. I've also run into a couple of kind associates in produce. But for everything else? Drive the extra distance to the Hwy 19 location. The staff there actually knows how to treat people with basic respect.

Even the main number just rang. When my daughter finally got through to someone in the deli department (the 1st time) she was met with a very rude and unhelpful individual. I had call from another city in order to speak to a manager. THEN, I still received an email reminding me to pick up the tray on the original day, after the manager said that she would change the information. My daughter called back the next day in order to make sure that the tray would be ready on the day needed and she STILL couldn't reach anyone on the main number or on the deli number after callin five (5) times and letting it ring. VERY frustrating. She has to now drive to the location today and hope that the tray is ready for pick up. I understand being busy but I have experienced busy stores in metro-Atlanta and have never encountered such poor customer service from Publix. Hoping that they improve in order to save the Publix legacy.

They also have different cuts/type of meat that you will not find in a grocery chain store. The meat is always fresh and if you don't see something you can always ask the staff. The market reminds you of an old country store honestly. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. It is almost never crowded. They have an ample number of working motorized carts for the mobility challenged customers. I take my time and ride around the store a few times. I love their condiment sections. They always have something I have never seen before elsewhere so when I find something, I stock up. The store always smells good. Never any would odors either.
