    The prettiest!

Omg! Heaven!! So heavenly! Just so perfect. Favorite of 2020!!! When in Belgium! Eat everything.. sweet!! Grrr. I'm not a sweet person but pretty sure I ate chocolates in my bodyweight. Sorry not sorry!! This place is amongst the best of all the others many chocolatiers in the grand place. Just so heavenly. From the outside, inside to purchase and tasting. Just so yummm. They also have macarons but really.. truffles are what I came for. And I would fly back for those truffles too. I got a few small boxes: Plumier Découverte! It has assortment of their delicious truffles. Ecuadorian chocolates! Grand cru! The beautiful heart shapes ganaches. So delicate and tasty. I love the dark chocolate but they have a mix of milk, dark and all inside the box. All pretty tasty! €20 for a box: it was perfect. They also have the variety for €60 but too big to carry! Plumier Découverte was perfect for me afor gifts! One for me and a few for family. They are just so perfect. Held up well during travels! I flew with them to Dublin and London after before heading home. Boxes are steady! Tasted the same back home. And everyone loved these as a gift. Perfect little delicious things!! Done right!! I love it.

It's first time in Brussels. Walking through the galleria and stop for some macarons. We tried the Rose, Passion, champagne, and Pierre. It was all good choice and we enjoyed them.

This was the store location I went to while I was looking for the Pis statues. I had this bookmarked because they're supposed to have THE best chocolates in Belgium and I LOVE good chocolate. The store is small but well-organized and spacious. They have chocolate bars, bon bons, truffles, chocolate powder, macarons, ice cream, etc. They use the finest ingredients and some cocoa beans they import from Madagascar, Brazil, etc. Belgian chocolatiers just have a knack for making something fabulous with cocoa. After buying a few items to try, I ended up buying more to bring home. They are definitely great and currently my favorite chocolates. I also got a box of macarons: pistachio, ganache, passion fruit, Speculoos, marzipan, yuzu, etc. The yuzu and Speculoos macarons were the standouts. Their products are a bit pricey but what do you expect? If you don't want to pay for good chocolates, eat M&M's! Life is beautiful with chocolate!

This Galeries de la Reine's location of Pierre Marcolini might not be as swanky as their flagship store but I really enjoy shopping here. Similar selection, extremely friendly staff. Pierre Marcolini probably my favourite Chocolate store in Brussels. Love their products and the packaging! Perfect gift for myself as a reminder of my weekend in Brussels!

Another great chocolatier in Brussels, Belgium. These little hand held joys were absolutely delicious!! Chocolate coated high end truffles. One filled with Framboise, (Raspberry) the other, caramel. All i can say is foodgasm! Smooth Belgian chocolate, filled with flavored creme of both, simply desert heaven!!!

The best hot chocolate I had in Brussels. The macaroons were amazing. I will return a million times just for the macaroons. The service is also so much better. The prices aren't as crazy high as people make them sound.

Some of the best chocolates! We tried a sample pack which came with 9 distinctively different chocolates. They are definitely gourmet. How different can 9 chocolates taste from each other? Very different if done right! These were so good!

Honestly the best macarons I have ever eaten. I came here every day during my stay in Brussels and I really wish they could deliver to the US because I would be spreading the word like crazy. The salted caramel and passionfruit flavors were my favorite. I really wish to find something similar to their quality closer to home.

-a little expensive but the chocolate is of excellent quality - I personally couldn't find anything special to it except the fact that it is a fine quality and therefore tastes luxurious (haha) - you should try the signature hot chocolate, it's delicious but pricey -I think it's more adequate for dark chocolate lovers, the selection is a bit more wide

Sleek & sophisticated chocolate shop! Our experience here was really great! My friend and I were buying some chocolate for friends back home and the one worker there that day completely made our experience! He was so helpful & kind. We ended up getting some macaroons, chocolate boxes, and chocolate bars. Very delicious!

    Best. Chocolate. Ever.

In-sane. Truly an incredible experience. I don't think j understood chocolate until I visited this establishment. We spent $70 here. 70. Now having been home for a week, I wish we'd spent more!!! Each piece is artfully and perfectly crafted yielding the most amazing chocolate I have ever had. No words. DO NOT MISS THIS!!!

    Stunning florals.

The most wonderful floral decor and scrumptious macarons made this a perfect spot to grab some dessert and people-watch. A few things: (1) Although this is supposedly a popular Belgian chocolatier, I didn't find their chocolate all too enjoyable. Quite frankly, on the basis of chocolate, they would've received a 3-star rating in my book. If you're looking for chocolate, stop by the Neuhaus around the corner and you'll be far more pleased. (2) However, the macarons were beyond amazing. Having traveled multiple countries and tried macarons far more times than I care to admit, these were some of (if not the) very best I've ever had. They also store well! I was able to bring home a few boxes for friends and family to enjoy, and (unlike the popular Parisian Ladurée, these fared far better and maintained freshness for much longer). Not to mention, the fillings in these surpass any of Ladurée's buttercream. The tomato basil was a unique but surprisingly delicious concoction, and I much preferred the chocolate macaron to any of the actual chocolates sold here. Make sure to also try the black currant ("cassis") for a unique flavor that's a bit challenging to find in the U.S. You won't regret it! All that being said, despite my poor review of the chocolate, Marcolini's macarons more than made up for it. Within just a few short days in Brussels, I ended up making 3+ runs to Pierre Marcolini's just to buy more macarons and purchase a few boxes to bring back home.

Excellent macarons... even better in the fridge the next day

I don't even like sweets, but while in Brussels, it's difficult not to be enchanted with their chocolatiers. There are gourmet chocolate shops everywhere, producing excellent quality chocolates and confectionaries. Staring through the glass displays, one could get lost admiring the tiny edible works of art presented in each window. Before we realised what was happening, we were walking out in a daze with a box of 7 macarons (€2 each, so these beautiful two-bite treats can add up fast). Choosing our favourite flavour was great fun, but that feeling of having something truly special and magical really lingered as we savoured each one. Maybe it was the fact that we were giddy on vacation, or the 9% beers we had at lunch... but I could feel the care and quality in each bite. My only comment on them is that the texture wasn't consistent in every macaron. Some of them were perfect - crispy with that slight chewiness in the interior - while some of them were too soft. No big deal, though... we put them into the fridge and the next day, they were excellent.

In the Grand Place these chocolate shoppes were lined up almost next to each other. Neuhaus was the first and ultimately the finalist. I appreciated the welcome as I came in, an overview of the history as I drooled over the well stocked cases. Of course there were too many flavors and types to pick from. Overall my taste buds did its job and the flavor combos, the snap of the chocolate and taste won me over to Neuhaus. I ended up customizing the boxes according to the choices dictated by family back home which covered pralines with caramel, yuzu, coffee, speculoos, etc. In the end buying direct avoided tariffs and what I saved went to more pralines but the tradeoff was a fuller luggage. Neuhaus had a frequent buyer program that I signed up for. Not sure how much I'll make use of it.

Visually it's amazing with all the chocolate and options you have to chose from. Yes it's not inexpensive but quality chocolate is well worth it. The lady in the shop was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making the right selection. Neuhaus was the inventor of filled chocolate with awesome flavors. If in Brussels this is a must stop to shop!
