Recently came here for a private event. I was totally impressed by so many things! First off it's a great location. Second they have beautiful decor inside with a luxury look. The food was super tasty and fresh! They have two live singers and an awesome Dj (was mostly Armenian for our crowd). The area is spacious and I love that it has a small lounge area with couches inside for ppl to socialize away from the tables. They also have hookah outside near the fire pits. Had been here years back for a private event inside but today, went out with my girls looking for a hookah lounge and stumbled upon their outdoor patio. Lucky? I think not, everything happens for a reason. Theyve apparently started serving hookah less than 2 weeks ago. Was the hookah good you ask? They have Pumpkin Spiced Chai flavor, I mean, it doesnt get any better. We of course also tried a mint hookah which was also just as great. The hookah lasted the entire time without burning and unlike most hookah lounges now days, the service was perfect both for charcoal and table waiter. The outdoor seating is very nice, private and cozy. We sat at the table with a firepit and it was perfect. We werent planning on eating so just grabbed tea and water but they have an open bar so will definitely be back to experience it all; food, drinks, hookah & music. The hookah service is fairly new, but I hear they will be having different eventful days where you can grab your girls & go or even meet for a date night. Let's start off with the location.. It has a public parking structure right next to it so that's great instead of trying to find street parking. The workers are all very friendly and welcoming. The owner, was very quick to figure out exactly what you needed and made it happen. I enjoyed the outside patio seating, especially in this weather. It's nice to just sit outside and relax. The inside and bar area was super clean and spacious. The food was beyond delicious and if I wasn't so full, I would definitely be ordering more. Great variety. Overall, amazing atmosphere. Me and the honey wanted to catch a quick bite to eat before the movie. We ran into this place and it was sort of empty so I was hesitant to try it but it does have the yelp sticker, so I guess. Walked in and the establishment was nice! Half of the place was rented out for a private event, which didn't bother me. The bartender/server was quick and attentive. Took our orders right away and received our drinks fairly quick. We ordered the escargots, chicken luleh, and beef luleh. We were also served bread with some green spread which was quite good. Escargots came out first and it had a cute presentation. The flaky crust was a perfect compliment for the appetizer! I was won over and told my honey that I should have never doubted him! The main entrees came out right after and was soooo good! The chili and tomato were peeled and was a great flavor enhancer to the dish along with the hummus. I will go back to try out the other entrees. Our server consistently checked on us, even though she was working by herself. She was adorable. Other yelpers, I feel I was lead soooo wrong. Glendale, are we that starved for a good restaurant that we are giving good reviews for nothing? Alright, this is only my second time giving 1 star so I feel really bad. Everyone was really nice, but the place is new and just has some serious rookie mistakes. I will divide this into the service and the food. Service 1. He was very nice. 2. You could tell this was the servers first time serving more or less. He made several rookie mistakes and was not very knowledgeable on the menu. 2. My boyfriends drink from the bar took a REALLY long time to come out. It came out a minute before our appetizer. 3. We brought in a bottle of wine knowing there was a $15 corkage fee. Our waiter did not know that. When we asked for our bottle to be opened, the waiter walked away with it and came back with it opened and the cork in on the top. Since when do you not present a wine bottle at a table? We also had no wine glasses and had to track down a busser to get some. 4. Our waiter lost track of what course we were on, and had to ask us what we last ate. 5. Our check came with all of our food still sitting on the table. Food 1. The French Onion Soup was the best thing we had on the menu. It was pretty good. I've had better, but it was still tasty 2. The "Braised Pork" appetizer was basically a BBQ pork sandwich. Not what I was expecting at all, and just kind of lazy. Nothing unique, and it just seemed to be a poorly cooked piece of pork, covered up by smothering it in BBQ sauce. Not what I expected at a French restaurant. 3. For entrees my boyfriend had the leg of lamb and I had the burger with "truffle sauce." I could not remotely smell or taste any sort of truffle oil. The burger again was justly sloppy looking and overcooked. Such a lazy menu, which French food is definitely not. My boyfriend said that his leg of lamb would be good and what he would expect from a Denny's. So there it is. I am sorry and again the people were very nice, just really inexperienced and not prepared, which is unacceptable for the prices customers are paying. I wish you the best of luck Pierre Garden, but you have got some SERIOUS work to do if you plan on staying open. read more

Outside, there is a nice comfortable dining area with white table cloths. WOW...Glendale finally has a really nice French restaurant. I had a nicely presented La Ceasar de Pierre tossed in a white anchovy cilantro dressing...YUM! The Soupe A L'Oignon was as good as it gets! I wanted to try the Moules A La Marinere cooked in Riesling, butter with parsley and shallots...but that is for another day! I think I happened into a jewel here! Petros, I can't thank you enough! We needed a venue to host a tea party for the widows of our organization and didn't have many options. Some places were too expensive and some were below the standard. We wanted to impress our sweethearts and do so with a reasonable budget. I was referred to Petros at Pierre Garden and fell in love with the place as soon as we went there for the initial meeting. Petros answered our every question and met all of our needs. Here is how the place is set up. The front is a full bar and restaurant. The back is a banquet hall with a small stage, ample room for tables & dance floor, upstairs lounge and patio in the back. This was the perfect set up for us because we wanted everyone to spread out and feel comfortable. Petros had arranged for live music and hired a singer and a harpist. The overall presentation was very professional and well coordinated. They provided assorted teas, finger foods, sweets and pastries. The ladies had an amazing time and the guys were in the patio smoking cigars and sharing stories. Pierre Garden will be my first referral to all of my friends that need to host an event because this place is perfect for events like this! read more

I went here the other night with my wife and parents. I was intrigued that this was one of the FIRST French restaurants in Glendale and they opened a week ago. I checked the on line menu and things looked good and the prices was pretty good for it being French food. For some reason I felt compelled to order 3 appetizers. We went with the muscles, melons wrapped in prosciutto and the escargot. My favorite was the prosciutto and then the muscles and lastly the escargot. One of my biggest gripes is when you are a party of 4 and they give you 3 freaking things. That said, the escargot in a pastry. It was OK, but I have had better. I suppose that people get freaked out over snails and if you hide it under a pasty, its all good. Next up was the entrees. I got the lamb shank. I was kind of disappointed because I expected the entire shank and it was kind of rubbery. I suppose the portion reflected the "reasonable" price. Personally, I would have rather paid more $$ and get the entire shank. My wife's trout was really good though. Lots of flavor and cooked to perfection. Then came the micro desserts. The creme brulee was excellent, but 2 spoon fulls is just not enough. Something this good should be a bigger portion. The apple tart was a good size though. That was pretty tasty also. To sum things up, this place does have potential. It was evident that they only have been running the place for a week or so. They need to work on giving their patrons more of a French experience so that they don't expect typical American food. I am always happy whenever there is more diversity in the food world. In Glendale, there isn't a whole lot of diversity though and I am hoping the locals will appreciate the new flavor. read more

Came here between lunch and dinner. Nice breeze that blows thru when they open the doors. Concept seems a little muddled, like a russian nightclub instead of a french/mediterrean cafe. Service was terrible, and we were the only ones in the place at 3PM. Took forever to get a ham and cheese sandwich which was ordinary at best. Fries were decent. The only saving grace of Pierre Garden is a happy hour which advertises $3 beers. Just around the corner from so many other more than decent/fun places to grab a drink or hang out, I wouldn't choose to come here again unless I wanted to get a cheap buzz going before moving on to a place with some life in it. Service was polite, but so slow. Didn't even order food, just drinks! I can't speak for the food but I can't imagine it would come out any faster haha... They are understaffed and/or put the bulk of their staff towards the events in the back room/banquet hall. There is no ambiance whatsoever, and the layout is bizarre and not conducive to groups or good conversation (all the lights are on and TVs blaring like in a sports bar...I don't mind TVs as much as others, but at least dim the lights so it's not like we're in a laboratory). Cold atmosphere. I added a star because no one was horribly rude at least, plus I thoroughly enjoyed the sign outside the bathroom (handwritten in Sharpie) advertising "Grey Gooz." We booked an event here for 22 people. We pre-ordered. We arrived on time and it took 37 minutes for the first order to arrive. The last guy was served after an hour. It's just run of the mill Mediterranean food, which is available at about a dozen restaurants in walking distance. It was a long wait just to get water. The place was empty besides us. Their motto is food and fun, it takes a long time for the food, an it was not fun. The food was ok. But if you want a nice Mediterranean restaurant go to Carnival or Raffis' Place. Where do I start - had my doubts about food here - but it's confirmed Large restaurant - Chinese made faux leather seats ? What is it a Sports bar - middle Eastern ? Russian - 35min to cook a burger that tasted more like brickett Then a Advertised Black Label Kobe ? Was dunked into whiskey ? Not sure but - advertised Kobe defiantly not and fresh bun - the table bread was fresher then the bun - Last time I'm stoping in - In & Out much better $6 for meal compared to &14 for a burger that i still haven't digested ! Hands down best HAPPY HOUR in Los Angeles. Golden Road Wolf among the weeds and Ballast point Grapefruit Sculpin IPA's on TAP for $3. Select wines are also $5. I almost didn't want to write this review so I could keep this little gem to myself!! HAPPY HOUR is from 3-8 pm every day!! Not only are the beers cheap but the food is bomb. Check out the garlic fries OMG, so bomb. For sure this is my favorite go to spot it LA. The bartenders and the owner make this place feel like home. Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 I've driven by this restaurant so many times, always saying to myself, "I'm going to try this out someday." Well, I had visitors in town to entertain who like French food, so I thought we'd give it a try. From the name, the outside and the tag on its website "Fine French Dining," you might think that the restaurant is upscale; at least we did! We made reservations expecting it to be busy at 8pm on a Friday night, and we put on 'respectable' clothes instead of being casual in our jeans and shorts. Much to our surprise, when we walked in at 7:45pm, the place was empty. The front restaurant area had a large bar with TVs and there were wooden table tents on the tables advertising beer specials - not something you expect see in a restaurant that serves Coq au Vin, Salmon, Pork, Steak, and Scallops as their main affair. We were seated by an employee (who apologized for not being properly dressed to serve us), and then we were taken care of the rest of the meal by a young girl. When we asked about the wine selection, she laughed shyly and said "I don't really drink wine" (after the fact, I decided that she may not have even been 21). She returned to the "off-duty" employee to ask our questions about the wine selection and he returned to cork and serve the wine. The food was plated well - maybe the only thing that I would call "fine dining." I tried to the traditional French items - French Onion Soup and Coq Au Vin. The soup was delicious and the chicken was cooked well. The sauce on the chicken was a bit overwhelming and the potatoes were quite bland. My guest indicated the Salmon was excellent and the Pork Medallion was so-so. During the entire dinner, one other couple arrived and had a drink at the bar (no bar-tender, just the 'under-dressed' employee), otherwise the restaurant remained empty. There was a private event happening in the back portion of the restaurant and the music was so loud and overwhelming that we found ourselves literally yelling at each other and just smiling and laughing because we couldn't hear each other across the table. As we were leaving, we noticed a billboard out front that said "Closed for Private Event" but it was turned backward and they had specials showing instead. I'm not sure if they were supposed to be open to the public that evening or not, but either way, it didn't appear as though they drew a big crowd to the restaurant. Overall, the food was passable, and the service was okay. The total experience wasn't anything to write home about, and I probably won't return unless I'm invited there for a private event. read more

Okay so I went there on a Saturday night for dinner and the restaurant was empty. We were there around 7pm and were the only people there...this should have been the first red flag to walk out. Service was horrible and very slow considering we were the only ones there (5 people group). It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come get our drink order then another 10 minutes to come back with those drinks (all soda) and get food orders. She did not even know some of the food on the menu considering there were about 10 entree options only available. After orders were placed, it took her about 30 minutes to bring out the soups and that was after we had to ask the waitress how long it would take. I would NOT recommend their french onion soup!!!! After that, there was another 20 minutes to bring out the entree. Food was okay. I had the steak which was pretty good and so were the lamb chops. The food is just really overpriced for the service and the quality you get. Overall, I would definitely not recommend wasting time at this place. This place was a disaster on NYE, we had booked this place in beginning of November. We bought tickets for six tables, since it's a small place the Owner said the banquet hall will be our for the night. We arrived at 8:30 we only had three tables. Most of our guests were standing and had no place to seat, not to mention the kids. The owner had triple sold tickets, (how greedy can you be). Just disgusting, awful and horrible. We are trying to get our money back. We will see how it goes. read more
