I cane here for a friends wedding and was so pleasantly surprised! When we arrived there were already so many appetizers on the table: 3 kinds of olives, 3 types of bread, cheese platter, meat platter, seafood cocktail, smoked fish, hummus, tzatziki, pickled vegetables, salads etc. Not only was the food excellent but the service was phenomenal! Very very poor service.. did not expect that kind of service. We had a wedding last night 120ppl and paid for 130 people as we wanted to sit kid's separate in one table which was 6kids total. Long story short.. food was not enough every single table ran out of food and they could not refill as they did not have enough food, not a single table beverage was refilled. At the end of the event every one was thirsty and asking for water and there was no water or any other drink to provide them. All guests lift hungry and thirsty! If you plan your event please make sure you have enough food/drink. At the end event staff was asking for tip I was amazed how they can expect tip with this kind of service. read more

The food is similar to other Armenian banquet halls and there is sufficient food... everyone got full! Very accomodating. Very presentable. Not a lot of restrictions. Amazing banquet hall!!! Great customer service!!! I threw my husband a surprise 30th birthday party here a couple of weeks ago... Karen the owner was so nice and helpful the entire time. I had called about 30 different banquet halls and Karen gave me the best price out of all of them... There was a flat rate per seat (like it should be) from begging to end. There were no extra "security" fees or any surprises when it came time to pay the bill. Karen was very professional yet friendly so the entire process didn't feel like just a business transaction. He was willing to work with my needs and even gave me a recommendation for a videographer which I ended up using!! The manager Albert was so kind and it showed how hard working he was. The night of the party he and two other waitresses stayed until 3am and even made us the classic breakfast us Armenians are so accustomed to at the end of banquet hall parties. The food was amazing all the appetizers and main dishes....very delicious.. Everything was so well put together and the banquet hall its-self is sooooo beautiful!!! DO NOT HAVE YOUR EVENT HERE!!! I made the HUGE mistake of having my engagement party here. For religious reasons, I had to cater my own food so all he was providing me was 1) the venue 2) service and 3) tables/chairs/utensils. At the time we paid our deposit he promised us that there would be at least 2 servers during my engagement party. Furthermore, he charged us $45 per person WITHOUT FOOD!! I was desperate because it was close to my engagement day and all the other venues were already booked. So I had no other choice but to cough up the money. Come engagement day, there was NOT 1 server there. My own family and relatives had to serve themselves. It was sooooo embarassing!!! To make matters worse there was NOBODY handing out drinks. My poor aunt had to cut the cake and my uncles had to hand it out to the guests. OH and they used their hands to cut the cake because Ani Banquet hall didn't have anyone to provide a knife or anything. It was such a NIGHTMARE!! Please do yourself a favor and do NOT have your event here!! He's a liar and I guarantee that all the positive reviews on here are his family and/or friends!!! read more

We just had my sis in law 50th bday party at Ani banquet hall yesterday 04/30/16, it's 5 star for the entire event. From the time that we've met Garen the owner until the end of the event, it was a smooth and success party! Garen is very nice and easy to deal with. Marina our floor captain and our point of contact at the event was accommodating and very helpful. Food is superb, tasty and delicious. We had a great time and our guests compliments us on choosing Ani for our event. We will definitely go back for more parties and will give our recommendations to all of our friends and family. My Brother just got married. and this is the next day. i find myself in a hotel room, in Glendale, still clad with the same cheesy Tuxedo i wore the night before. as the fog begins to clear, i am relieved to see that i am indeed alone..phew! scenes of the past night are flashing through my mind like a montage of clips from "Wedding Crashers". at one point i think i may have danced "the freak" with the brides 58 year old mother. a lot must be said about the people who run this place. when my brothers future bride told me about the deal they got, i was extremely skeptical. there was no way it was gonna be good considering the low price she paid. she assured me that it was going to be nice. on the wedding day, i was running errands with my bro, and we had to drop off the beer kegs to the hall. we parked in the lot, and loaded the kegs into the elevator. when the elevator opened, i was shocked to see that the upstairs hall was actually very nice. the decor was subtle but looked well done. the tables were nice, and the room didnt seem overcrowded. we made our way into the kitchen where we met a few of the cooks. they were very nice, and seemed eager to help. we loaded the kegs into the walk-in fridge, and went on our way. i have to say, that kitchen smelled fantastic!! later that night, after the actual Funeral, i mean, Wedding. we made our entrance, and got the party started. there were plenty of appetizers all over the tables, and lots of bread, along with some delicious spanikopita. a Green Salad was served, which was fresh, and crisp. then they brought out some big crinkle-cut potatoes that were absolutely amazing. the whole time, the waitstaff kept the pitchers of beer at full capacity. these guys were on the spot with the re-fills. i have to divulge this, by the time the main course arrived, i was about 3 pitchers, and 4 Tequila shots deep. but i do recall the basmati rice being cooked perfectly. the meats were delicious, and the chicken was a highlight. there was soo much food everywhere. the DJ did his thing, and we danced the night away. there is no such thing as a Mexican wedding without at least one fight. well this one had two. there was a very cool, and calm security guard outside who did his job very well. all in all my brother and his new bride had an amazing night, everyone was filled up to the top with food, and the beer flowed as if there was an endless supply. i even caught a few of the waiters gettin "Jiggy" with us, and enjoying themselves. thumbs up folks! now, where the hell are my shoes? and why is my vest on backwards?? read more

Me and my Fiance went to check this place on our wedding reception, it is upstairs, the ceiling is low and although they say they can fit 220 people it seems super tiny.:/ I hated the menu that they had but they are really cheap, one of the cheapest places that I have seen so far but it wasn't for us. This is the first time I was at this hall and Meh I've been to better small banquet halls that compare to this one. I was a guest at an event that was hosted here. The hall itself is ok, some restaurants look much more hip these days. The tablecloths and napkins are made of the same material (matching on purpose?). Food was OK too. Unfortunately the appetizers they had were not the best. Shrimp in the so called cocktail sauce was very rubbery, salads stale and no taste to them. Bbq itself - Meh, I only liked the chicken lule. I had my 21st birthday party here with a little over 110 guests. We fit in their perfectly and still had space for 5-6 more tables. My guests had an amazing time and 60% of that has to be due to the location. Ani's food is by far the BEST I've ever had. The waiting staff was also amazing!! Everything was clean, nice, and designed perfectly. I especially love the LED lights they have running up and down the hall! PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! THEY ARE EVIL MONEY HUNGRY CROOKS! THIS PLACE RUINED MY WEDDING! I wish I could give them -1000 stars!! Me and my now husband were looking to have a wedding without going backrupt. We found this little place. We called a bunch of times throughout the day and no answer so we decided to just go. When we walked in the were VERY rude! But I instantly loved the place! It was very pretty with lights and glitter, beautiful set up and chairs. I just knew this was the place I wanted to have my special day. The owner called us into the back room to ask questions. He was first very rude as well and acted very bothered that we were there but once he saw we were interested and had money ready his attitude changed real quick. We asked him all we needed to know and liked everything he was saying. So we decided to go ahead and book it. We made up a contract for 6 to 1am (we both have party animal families). Out of curiosity I asked would it be ok if we had our ceremony there as well at 4 and for the reception to start the ceremony. I even offered to pay extra for the extra time and his EXACT WORDS were "well the wedding is on a Friday and we have nothing planned that day other then your wedding so go ahead and do the reception first with no extra charge". This was amazing news to us! We were so impressed with this place I was bragging to all my family and friends telling them they have to go here for there events. It was turning out to be my true fairy tale wedding!!! We booked the photographer and dj and videographer and bartender to be there according to the time we agreed with the place so paid extra for them to be there until 1. When we went back to make another payment my grandma and mom and fiancé went with me because we had a few more questions. Our guest list was looking pretty full so my grandma who was helping pay asked about how we pay for extra people and also how we pay for the workers we hired to eat. He said we play per person for all the extra people who come and $10 per worker which was not a problem at all. My mom who could not believe this place was so awesome made sure of everything including to make sure it was ok to have the ceremony there still. The man said yes it's fine! I had over 4 witnesses at this point who all heard this verbal agreement. One guy asked me to leave a good yelp review which I imagine he asked everyone else whos left one but I like to leave honest reviews and said I would gladly leave a review after the event. So if this place was so amazing, why did you say "dont come here" you ask? My big day comes, im getting ready to leave to the venue where my future husband and guest are showing up. I am thrilled, excited, nervous, every emotion a girl about to get married should feel. Nothing can ruin my happiness until, I get the phone call.. My fiance calls and tells me the guy we have been talking to the entire time is denying EVERYTHING he said! He is telling us that if we have the ceremony at 4 we have to leave at 1130!! After I wrote on the invatations it ends at 1 am and paid all the workers to be there until 1 and signed contracts with these people! At this point all my guests are there and they are not letting my guests in, keeping them outside burning in the hot sun. My fiance and grandma were inside telling them this is wrong and we had an agreement! They tell my fiance unless he signs a brand new contract that says 4 to 1130 he will not let anyone in! Also I later find out the next day that they forced my grandma to pay for 10 extra people to which we had no extra guest come at all, not even one extra person!! But they made her pay $350 plus $80 for the workers to eat on top of the almost $4000 we already paid for the venue alone. He tells my grandma if she doesn't pay no guests can come in. I start crying in my fresh wedding make up which I just paid 60 to get done and everyone is trying to a calm me down. I figure what can I really do at this point except voice my opinion since it was a verbal agreement but once I see the kind of evil people I'm dealing with I decide to shut my mouth until the end so they don't ruin my wedding even more. My wedding came out beautiful thanks to my family and wedding planner! It was fun and a hit! It was amazing to marry the love of my life! I didn't let it get to me until the 1130 when me and my mom, who didn't know until that moment what they had done, decided it was time to give this guy a piece of our mind. We followed the guy around telling him how wrong he was and how his place is a scam and how we were going to warn every review website out there about this joke of a place with evil men working there. I was crying my eyes out in my wedding dress telling this guy how he ruined my special day and all he did was ignore us and walk away. Didnt even deny it. I would advise anyone with a special event to stay away from this horrible place! I don't wat anyone going through what I did! read more

He was extremely friendly and respectful to our needs....He altered the menu so that we wouldn't pay more than we had to for food which I thought was an extremely kind gesture since now days everyone thinks about benefitting their pocket first. Beware when booking this banquet hall. They have several different managers and an owner who will all promise you something and then go back on it. Their contract only includes the food so there is nothing in writing as far as any other stipulations. We live out of state. The first time we went to see the venue the manager was really nice and they had recently remodeled. The price was good so we signed the contract. We were told everything was included. I specifically asked about a bartender because you bring your own alcohol. He said oh yes, it's included. We go back again to try the food. It is very good. Everyone was still nice. We go back about a week before the wedding just to confirm everything as far as table setups, where the dj and bar will be. Only the owner is available this day. He is not very nice. He tells us THEY DON'T HAVE A BAR. I ask him how is this possible when the manager told us they provide a bartender. He tells us that they keep the alcohol in the kitchen and the guests ask the wait staff for drinks and they bring them out. I wasn't really happy about being lied to and also knew that there would be a longer wait for drinks because of it but I agree to it because I didn't see any other alternative. So the day of the wedding comes and we're told by the manager that the wait staff will not be serving alcohol. I tell him the owner said they would so how can he say no? He tells me no. That's it. I tell him to call the owner. He never does. My brother in law set up a table with the alcohol and my guests served themselves. The wait staff was rude. They have the appetizers on the table when you arrive. After about 30 minutes they come up and ask when we want the main course served. I said now would be great. About 30-45 minutes after that they finally brought it out. Then there's a mysterious extra photographer taking pictures. My photographer asks who she is because she's taking pictures and blocking him. She says she works for the hall. The problem is she was printing pictures on the spot and CHARGING my guests for prints. No one ever told me she would be there. I would have told them no. They obviously do not communicate with each other and don't care what you say. read more

We just had our wedding at Ani on February 7th 2015. We loved it! We had 170 guests and they definitely arranged the tables beautifully and comfortably.The food was amazing! My husband and I loved it! The day after the wedding many of our guests called to congratulate and compliment the beautiful hall and the amazing food. I do not eat salmon, but my husband and many of our guests could not stop talking about it. We really enjoyed the kabobs and the other food as well! If you're looking for a place for a small and intimate wedding or any other event then we highly recommend Ani! I went there after a funeral. The food was good and plentiful. The service was great too. What i liked about this place as opposed to a restaurant is that they don't try to kick you out. Don't ever have your receptions at restaurants because they want to get you out asap so they can make room for others. One restaurant said they would only give two hours. My first experience at Ani was for my co-workers bridal party and that was last year before it was remodeled but even without it remolded I have to say its now one of my favorite restaurants. My second time attending Ani Banquet was mid January which was remodeled looks nicer and the colorful lights are very enjoyable while dancing drunk in the dark:}. Let me start off by saying the table is filled with several kinds of appetizers, which are very scrumptious and delightful. You MUST try their julien & gormehsabzi (I think that's how you pronounce it) it is to die for. Entrees there are so many too choose from, but I have to say the salmon with veggies and the caramelized lamb chops with the potato wedges was by far my favorite! I don't know much about the pricing but I've been told it's very affordable even if you include the whole menu for your event. It's a nice cozy restaurant and perfect for medium sized events; the engagement party had about 180-195 and it was just perfect the hall looked full.
