I purchased a chair I was unhappy with. It's was around $800 and wanted my money back but was displeased with the response I got. They will accept the return but will keep 30% of my money. That's $240 of MY money they are holding onto even though the chair is unused. I've never heard of such a thing. I tried calling and got a very sarcastic and rude man. My husband and I ordered a sectional from this business. We were happy with our purchase until the fabric started pulling not even 6 months of owning it. I contacted the store, they sent a representative out to look at it who stated he could not fix the problem. Pieroways then wanted to send a cushion out foe testing to see what the issue was. They claimed it was from wear and tear and because we have dogs (that only go on the couch on occasion and when they do there is a blanket under them). The owner then stated we could replace the sectional for a cost. When we went to the store to pick a new fabric, the owner was rude and unprofessional. Berating me and talking down to me and my husband like we were idiots. I explained when we purchased the sectional we were told the fabric we chose would last a lifetime. Obviously that was not the case. We reordered a new sectional with new fabric. When it came in, it was not correct. I called the store and explained the situation and they argues, said it was ordered correct. The person I spoke with said he would call me later in the day after he looked into the issue. When he called me back, he asked me to send him photos. After I did, his response was I guess you aren't crazy. Not only am I not crazy, but Peiroways is incredibly unprofessional and rude and I will NEVER do business with them again. Do you love '80s rocking chairs? Do you love '90s couches? Do you want them at 2016 prices? This is the store for you! The showroom is pretty blah (design philosophy: Win 'em over with rows of rocking chairs!), but you can tell the furniture is of a decent quality. The stars are for that alone. I didn't appreciate that after we said one sofa was decent but we'd like to see if they had anything a little less plush for a little less money, the salesman was like, "Oh, so you're PRICE shopping!" as if that was something to be ashamed of, and showed us one crappy sofa (even if he was right). Upsell me, man. At least make me feel like I am worth selling to. That said, we didn't find a single piece worth haggling on because, as another reviewer said, most of the stock belongs in your Grandma's house, but even if we had, the salesman didn't make me feel like making the effort. read more

I go to Pieroways every once in awhile, but have never bought anything. Their furniture looks dated and isn't modern. It is like the stuff you find at your Grandma's house. I guess they have instituted a no pressure policy to their sales, and only give help if you ask, which was refreshing. They have a small clearance section in the back. The prices seem pretty high, even for the clearance items. Not sure how the buying experience is, but they've been around for a long time, so they might be doing something right. read more

Like their furniture, bought two couches and a sectional. Their problem is costumer service after the sale. Couches came in and we were never called, had to call them. Also, they ordered and delivered the wrong couch so we had to wait an additional 4 weeks for the right one to be delivered. Just called today and was told "it came in but have no info about it how about you call Monday " Spoke with Chris who has an attitude, very rude. Spent a lot of money there and would expect better service especially when they screwed up the order. Buyer beware, once they get your money they don't care. read more

We have purchased items from this business over the years and all went as discussed for correct item and delivery until now. In March we ordered two end tables. We were told delivery would be in April, then told in May and now being told mid-July. We only know this because we called them, they never called us with any information. Save your time and money and just buy online if you want something unassembled. I've purchased a lot of unassembled furniture from other stores online but don't have the time to sit and assemble myself, plus I wanted something professionally put together so it would hold up well. So I went to Pieroway's, picked out two dining chairs and a bench. Spent more money than I normally would, but felt it would be worth it because I wouldn't have to assemble and needed it in the following week for some visitors. A week goes by and I hear nothing from them about the furniture being able to pick up (they wanted $80 to deliver). I call them and they said they wouldn't expect it to the following week... so a full two weeks after I placed the order which is a week later than they told me. I made it work with my visitors having to sit on fold up chairs, whatever, I'm not too picky. So the pick up date comes, my husband and I juggle cars around so he has room to go pick up the chairs and bench, and he comes back with two chairs and an UNASSEMBLED bench!! The salesperson never once mentioned it comes unassembled. The entire reason I was there was to pay a little more for professionally assembled, quality furniture. They clearly just took it off the truck and gave it to him, a week later than planned. If I wanted to sit and assemble a bench I would have bought it for cheaper online and had it shipped for free directly to my house. Instead I made the wrong choice to purchase from this store, pick it up, and assemble it (unknowing to me). I feel tricked and taken advantage of. Anytime my parents or I have ordered furniture from a brick and mortar store, it has always come assembled, so I didn't even think to ask! Nor should I have to. A few years ago we were looking for a leather recliner and looked at several local furniture stores. We thought we found what we were looking for at Pieroways. After selecting our American Made chair from Best, we waited for delivery. We had the chair for about a month when we noticed the filling on one side was too soft. The arm literally rolled over when you put any pressure in it. The seat was also lopsided. We had to put a towel under the cover to balance the seat. We called the store and they sent the owner's son to inspect it. He agreed that it was a manufacturer's defect and got us a replacement chair within a few weeks. The replacement chair is doing the same thing. Lopsided seat again. Looks and feels so uncomfortable. We now have to use a pillow to balance out the seat cushion. Not happy! read more

We found the one we liked there but our salesperson was not giving us the time of day when we went into purchase (that is the reason for 4 stars). We left disgruntled but went back in on his day off and worked with Joel who was helpful, accommodating and professional. I would recommend going there just to work with him. He is a great wealth of knowledge and will go back to the store and work only with him for future purchases. Their prices are set which means no haggling BUT you know the price before you make a decision about purchasing and to get the right piece of furniture, it was worth the cost. The jury's still out on this one. We are getting a little concerned because of most of the reviews that we've seen on line. My wife and I were in great need of a dinning room table and chairs; plus she wanted a comfortable chair for the living room. Well, we think that we found a good match and had it financed through Wells Fargo as a 1 year free interest account. Now, we made the purchase on 6 September 2015 and here it is 29 September 2015. We are again getting a bit worried because no word and no furniture. I called them and they said that the furniture was there and when would we like for it to be delivered. Well, thanks for being the one to contact us; not! So, I'll have to do a follow-up or update to this post to see if the number of stars goes up, down or stays the same. my husband and i bought a kitchen table and 4 chairs from pieroway's in august of 2010...after a year, all of the finish started to come off of the table and the 4 chairs...paper plates would literally stick to it and other stuff would rub off such as newspaper...if something got wet, god forbid...i called after a year to complain and all i got was, "sorry there is nothing i can do." so now after 3 years i called again...they took me a little more seriously and told me they would call me back...well they never called so i called back...we paid a decent price for everything...the owner told me that the manufacturer would not do anything but he claimed that he was trying to be nice and would give us $100.00 off of a new table and 4 chairs...that is a slap in the face...VERY POOR QUALITY AND VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE read more
