    What I received
    Jennifer G.

I placed an order through DoorDash... And they've already refunded me for the issue. However, I did want to call and follow up with the store and let them know what happened or at least get their perspective on things since DoorDash is saying that it wasn't their fault that my order was wrong... I ordered a cheese pizza as the base with toppings. What I received was a half cheese plain pizza and then half of my pizza with the toppings I requested. That's not what I paid for. I called and asked to speak to a manager, however, was told there was no one there, except the person who made my order. I tried to explain to him what happened and he became belligerent and would not let me get in word in edgewise. He took it from a minor "hey heads up you got it wrong" to a near shouting match on the phone. I had to point blank Tell him he was talking over me and not listening to what I had to say. I've got my DoorDash order in front of me. I've got the receipt in front of me and I've got a photo of the actual food, Which I'm posting here. If Roberto hadn't been so absolutely rude on the phone there wouldn't be a review tonight. This would've been maybe a two minute call and it would've been over with. I had my money back. However his attitude and having escalated it for no reason because he couldn't emotionally deal with someone calling in to give him a heads up on an issue? I won't be wasting my money there again...

Great fast service and the pizza is so good! They literally make it fresh when you order but they are fast! I think we weren't even sitting for 15 min and the food came out! The best sourdough crust. Some of my favorite pizza for sure. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

This was a pleasant surprise and very good tasting pizza. The service was friendly, and the pizza came out quick and was brought to our table. The server which was also the cashier was very attentive and nice. We ordered two pizzas. The sauce tasted great, and this was reasonably priced.

Just Okay. Staff was cordial, but not friendly. Seemed maybe other things were more important. I was a little disappointed by the styrofoam plates and plastic forks. We arrived at 11:30 and zero customers were here. We had our food on our table by 11:45.

Nice ambience. Pizza was ok, the crust did not taste like what I would call or think of as San Francisco sourdough pizza. Maybe it's because I'm from the bay and have higher standards for my carbs lol Service was absolutely terrible. I can deal with subpar pizza if the employees were nice. He was just generally upset and seemed inconvenienced by our presences. Asking for ranch was like asking a Mickey Ds employee for another sacred sauce cup or ketchup packet. It is a little pricey but the dinner for 2 was $19 and that's not too bad all things considered. You should try it once and decide for yourself but we probably won't be back with so many other better choices around the area.

Carbonara nella ruota & melanzana alla parmigiana. The eggplant was not what I expected, it was not crispy. Just smothered in cheese, it was still good! The complimentary bread/breadsticks were great as well + it was a thursday night so there was live jazz. The Carbonara is AMAZING! I've had numerous pastas made in a cheese wheel and different carbonaras but this was the best carbonara i've ever had! The waiter also gave us a whole show and lesson on where the cheese is from! The second visit was to have my other friend try the carbonara because it was so amazing! It tasted amazing and we also tried the ravioli sage & butter + tonno and burrata. The complimentary bread was different this time, I like that they switch it up! The tonno and burrata was fresh, light, and flavorful. The ravioli sage and butter was good but we both agreed the carbonara is still the best on the menu. I was a little disappointed that they didnt do the whole show with the cheese wheel. I think they were busy and I just got lucky the first time. Overall, service and food is always great here!!

I really enjoyed the prosciutto and melon, a little sweet a little salty, which I wouldn't have thought to put together myself. But the ravioli salmone was nothing short of incredible. The salmon was tender and the lobster sauce was to die for. It took every ounce of strength in me to eat it slowly and savor it. I could've eaten a large bowl of that. The little dollop of caviar was a nice touch.

The lasagna was rich and flavorful, the meatballs were tender, and the pasta was cooked perfectly with an incredible sauce. We also finished with the chocolate mousse cake, which was the perfect ending to the meal--absolutely delicious. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and made for a great dining experience. Ross grew up in a large Italian family in Chicago and wanted to bring the classic "old-school" Italian flavors he grew up with to Utah after finding they were hard to come by when he moved here. The restaurant is located in Taylorsville, about 10-15 minutes southwest of downtown Salt Lake City, making it an easy stop whether you're staying in the city or exploring the surrounding area. Always great to spend time with family, and this was the perfect place to do it! We had a fantastic dinner. The calamari was crispy, tender, and delicious. The gnocchi was flavorful and comforting, and my steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare. The restaurant is much larger than it looks from the outside, with a spacious banquet area in the back that's perfect for private parties and family celebrations. Even though it was a busy weeknight, the service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. There's plenty of parking, and they can easily accommodate both small groups and large family gatherings. Cheers--I look forward to coming back!

Our server was funny, personable, and attentive, especially when it came to drinks and refills. Things started going downhill when I received my entree, the Poor Man's Truffle. Unfortunately, the only way this dish lived up to its name was in how little the supposedly high-quality ingredients seemed to come through. The dish itself is fairly simple, which normally isn't a bad thing when the ingredients are meant to speak for themselves. With Belper Knolle, truffle oil, pistachio pesto, tomato, fennel, and arugula, I expected something flavorful and well balanced. Instead, the entire dish tasted incredibly mild. Belper Knolle is typically a bold, salty, peppery cheese, and I could visibly see the black pepper around the edges of the thin shavings, but the flavor barely registered. I also couldn't taste the truffle oil at all. There was visible oil pooling at the bottom of the plate, but no noticeable truffle flavor. I understand pistachio pesto tends to be more subtle than a traditional basil pesto, but altogether, this dish just fell completely flat for me. The presentation didn't help either. It looked more like something that had been scooped from a pan and dropped onto the plate than a thoughtfully plated entree. When a dish misses both on flavor and presentation, that's when it becomes a real disappointment for me. I will say the gnocchi itself was cooked well, which was one of the few positives. I also tried the burger, and it was significantly better than my pasta. However, the very small sprinkle of bacon was a little baffling considering it was an additional upcharge. Where the night really went downhill was at the end of the meal. I had been excited to try the beignets because that isn't a dessert I see on menus very often. Our entree plates were cleared, and then we waited about 20 minutes before our server returned and asked whether we were ready for the check. Dessert wasn't mentioned, and by that point our table was tired of waiting, so we decided to skip it and asked for our checks. Then our server disappeared for another 30 minutes. We eventually had to flag down a hostess who was seating another table and let her know that we were still waiting for the check. About five minutes later, our server finally returned and casually explained how "crazy" the night had gotten because of the show. I understand restaurants get busy, but the apology felt very dismissive after we had waited nearly an hour from finishing our entrees to finally receiving the check. It genuinely felt like our table had simply been forgotten. I also want to add that I tend to hold restaurants like this to a higher standard. I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for." If I'm eating at a fast-food spot or somewhere inexpensive and casual, there's only so much room to complain. But when a restaurant has prices like this, highlights premium ingredients on the menu, and presents itself as a more elevated dining experience, I think that naturally opens the food and service up to more criticism. At that price point, I expect the quality, presentation, and overall experience to reflect what I'm paying for. My final takeaway is that maybe I ordered the wrong dish. Pesto is one of my favorite things, so I almost always want to give a pesto-based dish a try. Unfortunately, Prohibition's pesto gnocchi was not it for me. I also saw that they describe themselves as a scratch kitchen using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, which I don't necessarily doubt. What confused me was how so many ingredients that should have distinct flavors somehow tasted like almost nothing. If your goal is interesting drinks and a fun show, this is probably still a place worth considering. Since we sat outside, I can't speak on the show part, but it seems to be a big hit. Food-wise, though, it missed the mark for me.
