So I am biased but we had a great time here. Not much to look at inside or outside but the prices…read morewere decent. We couldn't go help ourselves with the salad bar during COVID but we could check off boxes of the food we wanted to try and they would bring it to us. Seafood was fresh. Salad bar was decent but not anything special. What made it special was the service. Our server went beyond what he needed to, to make sure that we were comfortable. He was friendly, likeable, fast, and kind. We actually had to hunt him to give him a generous tip because you need to pay upfront at the till for everything. And there wasn't a tip option when we paid. But he did his service above and beyond most of the people we know that serve expecting a tip. What was the was the best was another server. We have a daughter with dual diagnosis. She has Down syndrome and autism. And she doesn't enjoy eating. We got there late, and she wasn't interested in eating so she sat in the middle of the floor. It was a big restaurant with only a few people eating so we left her there. And ALL the staff instead of rolling their eyes as they walked by either waved or said hi. And then there was this lady. Who if anyone reading this knows who she is, please message me. I would like to thank properly. After she was done with her table, she put down her tray and sat and said hi to our girl and copied her movements (she rocks for comfort) and our daughter who doesn't particularly likes to be touched ended up snuggling in for a cuddle. I couldn't pay enough for this experience. And when I was wiping away tears and thanking her she kindly shrugged and said it was nothing. It was everything. And all the servers treated us as well if they served us or not or if they were being tipped or not. Go there on this principal alone.

Probably my favourite place to get lobster on PEI. They have a salad bar that is all you can eat…read more(extra charge), but it's worth it as they have mussels and other goodies. Also their rolls and strawberry shortcake are fantastic! The only downside is the ambiance. It's super loud and generally a lot of kids. If you are looking to avoid that, go for lunch!

It cost extra (~$60 IIRC) for a lobster lunch. We were each served a lobster and in the centre of the restaurant, they had trays of side dishes (self-serve). I don't remember all the side dishes but there were salads, soup, mussels. One con was that these didn't seem to get refilled as much as they should've throughout our lunch here (though we were told it would be constantly refilled). If you are part of a tour, my tip would be to fill your plate on the first round with whatever you think you'll eat. I usually take small portions and just get more after, but there was no more in this case. :') For the most part, the service was great. Our food was served almost immediately after being seated. The servers were very friendly. Food wasn't bad. I found my lobster to be just a teensy bit overcooked but the food is rarely ever perfect when you're part of a tour, because they have to prepare so much all at once.

This is a great casual spot to grab a lobster dinner near Cavendish/New Glasgow…read more We were there in August when it was great to sit outside and enjoy a seafood meal in the summer weather. We stopped in for lunch and we were early but the owner was very accommodating. We just couldn't resist having the lobster dinner. Came with mussels and a salad to start. The lobster came with corn on the cob and garlic bread. Right off the highway and lots of parking.

Tasty juicy lobster supper (just choose the size of lobster: 1 lb at 52$, 1.5 lb at 63$, 2 lb at…read more73$, each lb on top is 20$ if available)! We chose a 3 lb lobster, which was perfect between sweetness and meatiness for us. Restaurant has children menu for 12 & under, which offers smaller menu such as 1/2 of 1 lb lobster for 24$ and other non seafood regular kids menus. Start by paying for ticket with choice of meal when you enter. Price includes two servings of rolls, bucket of mussels, seafood chowder, dessert and non-alcoholic drinks (just no seconds of mains). Big dining room area so there was no wait to get a table, and good for big groups and family friendly as well.

Today, it's grown into a huge dining hall with a polished system--but the sense of tradition is still very much alive. The setup is simple but memorable: everything is all-you-can-eat except the main course. You'll get bowls of seafood chowder, steamed mussels, salads, rolls, and dessert included with your meal. The lobster is the star, of course--I had the 1.5 lb, and it was perfectly cooked, sweet, and tender. The sides are plentiful and satisfying, but they exist to set the stage for that big plate of lobster. Expect a line before the doors open--it's part of the experience. Service is efficient and friendly, clearly well-practiced at managing the volume. This isn't fine dining, and it doesn't pretend to be. It's about tradition, community, and sharing in a piece of PEI history. Bottom line: if you're on the island, a lobster supper here is non-negotiable. It's as much a cultural event as it is a meal.
