I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

My designer Billie was super sweet and let me browse but also let me know that anything can be custom ordered and that this is just a small sampling of what they can get for me. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. When we first called up HedgeScape to remodel our Minneapolis home, the person on the other side was more gracious to resolve my current maintenance hassle occurred from the natural plantation in my yard, and also offered me some distinctive and lifelike boxwood hedges and green walls to conceal our home from the outside. This move went really well with my daughters as well, and they now happily spend the time inside the artificial fence churned out of fake foliage, leaves and trees. Hobby Lobby is pretty meh as a business overall but that's not important for this review. I've…read morestopped in when I need something that I can't find at any other craft store and need sooner than Amazon will ship. The parking lot is big and it's easy to get in and out. Once inside it's just like every other Hobby Lobby, all of your crafting needs and prices are easy to find/understand. I feel like this store used to have better clearance and sales but lately there's nothing great going on in that department. Check out is where it gets a little rough for me. There are never enough workers. We are always waiting in line for 15 minutes and it really slows down the entire trip. I tend to go on my lunch breaks but I have had to stop because I'm not convinced I'll be out in time. If you need something you'll probably find it here, but make sure you have enough time to not only find it but to check out.

We were in the area and were stopping at some other shops nearby that are typically more "discounted" for home decor. After striking out at two places and making the drive to Burnsville, we decided we might as well stop into Kirkland's. I'm glad we did! We found exactly what we were looking for and the whole store was 30%. We bought a decently large piece for our wall and it was under $40 ... probably cheaper than what we would have paid at those "discount" home decor stores nearby. Minus one star because the check out line was extremely slow, and it seemed like only one out of the two cashiers had any clue what they were doing.
