This hobby lobby location is convenient to where I live and work but is probably my least favorite location. The store is organized and well stocked. No complaints there. I will say I mostly see staff up front and no one working throughout the store. I don't feel like the staff are friendly here at all. The check out lines do get a bit long and take a while. They don't use barcodes and have to memorize or look up sale items which can be tricky. I love doing diamond art but this is often an item that gets mis-priced at the register, for example Christmas items will be 50% off. The Christmas themed diamond art is on the Christmas display which is advertised 50% off but because the regular diamond art isn't on sale they assume the Christmas diamond art is full price. Also had this issue with buying hello kitty diamond art. The cashier assumed it wasn't on sale because it was licensed character item but the sign didn't say it excluded it and it was also on sale online. Hobby Lobby is pretty meh as a business overall but that's not important for this review. I've stopped in when I need something that I can't find at any other craft store and need sooner than Amazon will ship. The parking lot is big and it's easy to get in and out. Once inside it's just like every other Hobby Lobby, all of your crafting needs and prices are easy to find/understand. I feel like this store used to have better clearance and sales but lately there's nothing great going on in that department. Check out is where it gets a little rough for me. There are never enough workers. We are always waiting in line for 15 minutes and it really slows down the entire trip. I tend to go on my lunch breaks but I have had to stop because I'm not convinced I'll be out in time. If you need something you'll probably find it here, but make sure you have enough time to not only find it but to check out. read more

The staff at this hobby lobby is very rude. The behaviors expressed gave passive aggressive energy. They gave me and my family weird looks and weren't very kind when answering questions and checking us out. Staff completely ignored us until I interacted first. Employees at register were having conversation not work appropriate with another employee while checking us out. read more

Hobby Lobby is typically a one-stop shop for literally anything you can think of. For all of your big and small holiday decor, to bedroom decor, to kitchen, to arts and crafts, kids activities, frames, you name it. Price is usually moderate. Not cheap to make you think it's a waste/crap but also not outrageously expensive to make you think, no way! Service is usually quite slow but I think they might employ retired folks and/or individuals who function well in this type of slow paced low stakes environment. Depending on when you come, it might be super busy and you're standing in like for 5-10 minutes or slightly quicker if not as busy. I do like their return policy which is 90 days. I don't know about you but life gets in the way sometimes and I might not be able to return something as quick as I'd like to (or I'll admit I forget a lot). read more

Went here in search of a cheap mirror with no avail. There had a mirror but it just wasn't cheap. They do have everything else you may want in terms of arts and crafts and the cashier was very polite and helpful. It's got a very wide selection! read more

I have loved it since I discovered it in Illinois. This store is the expression of creative genius if that is your talent. Themed aisles full of items to put together to make a matching room. Fabrics, craft items, mirrors, macrame, baskets, shelving, rough finished furniture, silk flowers, pictures, mirrors, clocks, frames. But today my treasure was in the newly discovered aisles of markdowns 50%. My wall hanging macrame, a huge wood clock, beautiful pillows, wall decor, candle accessories and many of the items you see elsewhere in store at full price. A treasure today for me. Ample parking, shopping carts and staff. They do not have coupons anymore but what is in the clearance section well makes up for it . read more

Not the biggest location but they have a massive section for Christmas decorations. You definitely don't have to worry about missing this section, takes up a good portion of the store. Standard for the brand overall. Parking is plentiful. If you're coming from the Target side of the entrance, traffic can be a bear. This location shares a parking lot with many popular establishments. Staff were warm, waiting to help anyone coming in the door. It was refreshing. I'll be back to experience this solid location. read more

Funny story. Was once on the light rail and these two men were talking. One says he was looking for fishing items so he went to this store called hobby lobby. When he got there he realized it wasnt a real hobby store....it was one for women. Hahaha/ SMH Anyway, needless to say he was wrong! It's indeed a real hobby store with tons of items. While it's pretty similar to Micheals they have far more: faux florals, garden decor, home decor, wedding items, party supplies along with furniture, fabrics and buttons. That said, I do feel they didn't have as much of a variety in (blank) canvases, frames, and miniatures. Nonetheless I found what I needed. When checking out I learned a few of my items were on sale, which I didnt realize before due to lack of signage. It was the cashier who thankfully remembered and I say remembered b/c they dont scan items therefore the system wont pick it up. Lesson here, check the circular beforehand so you know in case cashier doesn't. Anyway a few last points: 1- dont forget to download their coupons 2- in the shopping center are also Target, Chick Fil A 3- a bus stops right in front of the Hobby Lobby (though I didnt catch the #). read more

They have the coolest gadgets here...I don't like to shop but I could spend hours here for real! They had this diamond crystal prism paper weight that is really cool...they have cool lights like their kaleidoscopic projector light which was very cheap in price but awesome in quality. I had my wedding items custom framed in a shadow box. I've had multiple items framed here before and loved them all. However, this time was not the case. I did not receive the usual help in selecting my materials, but i was happy with what i chose on my own. I was told to lay everything out EXACTLY how i wanted it to look. A picture was taken and the "notes" were discussed between myself and the worker (who i am choosing not to name). Even though they did not make sense to me he assured me it would get done correctly. 2 weeks later i went to pick up my finished product and i noticed things were not put together as i had placed them. He went to correct them and after trying, he brought it back for me to look at and i noticed the 2 mat colors were flip flopped. This was confirmed with the photo hobby lobby took. I was informed it would be another 2 weeks, which was not an issue for me. We are human, mistakes happen. I called back a few days later after looking at a photo i snapped for color matching to let them know the calla lilly flower petals were placed upside down. I was told that would be fixed. 3 weeks later i was able to pick it up. Things that were correct last time were not this time, and the fixes i asked for did not happen. I decided to take it home and fix it myself. I could see the flower petals were still upside down and they were broken. I did not want to take the chance of them damaging them further. I did not realize how damaged my items became until i tried moving them myself. I paid over $250 for my irreplaceable items to get damaged :( read more

This is the 2nd Hobby Lobby store I have frequented. The first one being in Rochester. The store layout is consistent. They have most items already 40% off so there was no need to use a coupon. This store was a previous Rainbow Foods, so it's nice to upcycle a previous store instead of building new. Such neat home decor but most is made in China. The people working there were courteous and friendly. The Company has a Christian religious belief and philosophy and is closed on Sundays. They also are controversial with insurance and not providing birth control so this may offend some shoppers. I won't open up a debate about this as this isn't a political platform. Signage in Christmas Section is 40% they don't even call it a Holiday Section. I will probably return when in Bloomington area again. read more

Nice spot if you've never been ... talking to the guys. If you own a man cave give this place a look see. They have Manly Man stuff for your walls, shelves, garage and man room. Marvel & DC themed items...sports and professional themed items as well. If your an artist build models or dig trains check this place out. Think of it as a high end Michael's with a lot more selection and a lot less garage sale feel to it. Was pleasantly surprised by the wide array of arts and crafts and home decor selections offered. I would actually buy things for my home here! Came in looking for supplies for my daughter's science project story board. They had a lot of choices that I could not locate anywhere else! I'm not at all a arts and crafts kinda guy, but this place rocks! Had no idea what to expect when we came in here to check it out. Imagine Michael's, Jo Ann Fabric, Home Goods, and a cheaper Pier One all had a baby and its name was Hobby Lobby. Store is huge, could easily kill an hour just browsing up and down the aisles. Location is perfect; right next to a Target. I went to a Hobby Lobby in South Dakota about 10 years ago and was not impressed much. So when I heard they were going to come to the Twin Cities I wasn't too interested. I found myself in the area with some time to kill so I stopped in. Wow. I must have been in there for 3 hours because I had to see everything. The candles, the glassware, the fabric, embroidery stuff, jewelry making, paper, furniture, seasonal items... It was wonderful. The only reason I will not be back for a while is that I could buy enough stuff to keep a "to-do" box of craft supplies to last 10 years after I die and I'd be too busy making necklaces and T-shirts to pick someone to whom to bequeath it. read more

It is hard to find home decor at a reasonable price but at Hobby Lobby you have so many choices and you never feel like you're breaking bank (unless it's because you have found to many cute things!). Ot is one of my favorite places to shop. read more
