I just can't get past the fact that this was a Kmart store in its past life. I saw some Facebook ads for Grinch stuff and came to check out the selection or lack of it. There was not much Grinch or other Christmas stuff and it looks like they are clearing space already in December for Spring/Summer which is 4 months away. I've shopped here only about 3 times since I've lived in Burnsville. I don't even think I bought anything. I really don't know how this store is still open. It isn't busy at all. At Home has an impressive selection of items, but they obviously have a pest control problem! I was just about to enter one of the main aisles near the front of the store when I saw a mouse running in the aisle! It was really disgusting; dark fur with a long tail. It scooted under a display of holiday merchandise. I was really creeped out by this, and I'm never going to forget it. Their furniture selection isn't huge, but it is at affordable prices and decent quality. There's plenty of decorative pieces. There's a lot of sales with large canvas paintings to figurines. Overall, this is more suitable when looking for decorations. It will require some digging on your part, because the store isn't very well organized. They might not have enough staff to maintain the store. It was difficult to find an employee, but usually I like being left alone when shopping so it didn't bother me much. read more

I will warn you that the first time you walk in the store you might stop inside the door and just stare for a while. It is HUGE!! They have almost anything you might even think that you could possibly maybe want....or "need". The prices are terrific, the coordination in how they lay out the rows and products by theme and color is fantastic, and it's just amazing! Need art...wow...yes! A huge, and varied selection of all different kinds of wall art. Need cushions for your deck or patio furniture, or planters for your plants....Yes! I was so excited to go to the store. I had heard people mention complimentary things about it but when I got there I was both under and overwhelmed. The amount of stuff they have fit into this warehouse, is impressive and overwhelming. My recommendation is to not go to this store without a plan. Know what you want to focus in on one section. I was underwhelmed by the types of merchandise this store carried. I felt like I could find better pieces of art or furniture for my home and Pier 1 or HomeGoods. In fact, I said multiple times, "I bet I could find this at HomeGoods but cheaper." So we didn't end up buying anything. Even when I wanted to shop for an entry way table, I opted to roll the dice at my HomeGoods go-tos instead of this place because sorting through all of the pieces is chaotic. There are nice big aisles for shopping but be ready to need to dig a bit to find things behind other things or move things around to get to the piece you want. Also, they have every season prepped and ready from Halloween to Holiday decorations. This store has it all, and a lot of all of it. Too much, maybe. read more

Wow. This place is not like I remembered it. Everything looked like it was literally (yes, literally) thrown on the shelves. It felt like a garage sale with high prices and everything was damaged. Their ads cleay say "summer clearance 50% off all items" I spent over an hour piecing together left over singles of cushions (they didn't have a set of 4 left of anything) got to the cashier and I'm charged full price! Went here today for the first time and feel as though I need to write a review due to the negative ones below. This store is not as bad as some of these people are saying. Sure, the items they carry are on the cheaper side, but they're not made of cardboard, and who gives a shit if it's made in China? If you like it who cares! If you're looking for something simple like a lamp or shade, patio cushions or outdoor decorative pieces, if you're into signs or artwork, need some replacement plates or glassware, and especially if you need holiday decorations, give this place a shot. I found it to be reasonably priced in most areas, much more so than Target, Macy's, or HomeGoods. Plus the selection is ridiculous and better yet, well organized! We were just giving it a look-around and it took an hour, there's a lot of neat stuff! I will agree with another reviewer that almost the whole time we were there we didn't see any employees, but it seems as though there were only about 5 people there and 4 out of 5 were ringing people up. It's not their fault if they're understaffed and have no training so they're not knowlagable, that's the company's fault. Give people a chance, huh? Long story short, if you're not stuck-up and need all your home goods to be from Gabbert's and Restoration Hardware, check it out. You'll probably find something you like. read more

The store employees are super lax. An female employee was sitting on a ladder in the back of the store by the rugs talking on the phone for over an hour. She could barely move for me to look at the rugs. She would occa pick a rug up off of the floor and put it on the platform of the ladder. I've been here a couple times. I bought kitchen chairs that matched one of mine that broke. I think the store is fun to walk around. The prices are correct for what you get. People need to understand you get what you pay for. The chairs I bought, I feel I got a fantastic value. Stores can't have dozens of employees walking around selling items at low margins while also paying a lease and utilities on a large piece of property ideally located next to a large mall. I want businesses like this to stay around. If you need a car to get you to around down economically you buy a Kia. It's a good car does the job. If you want a car with heated seats start of the art electronics and all those type of things you buy an Audi. Both cars have a market. Don't expect to buy the Kia and get the Audi Anyway...this store, in my opinion delivers exactly what I expect it to. I love it. read more

I like the items they carry, overall the store itself and what they provide is great! But their customer service is horrid. You can't find a single person that's roaming the floor that works there! I wanted to purchase a headboard-they were out of stock in the box, ok no problem! Then I saw the sign that says "All display items may be purchased if out of stock!" (Which was right above the display of headboards) Ok super! It took me 15 minutes to find someone to help with it, only for them to say "oh no we can't sell that!" I pointed out the sign only for her to tell me "tough luck!" I asked her when there will be more in stock, she had no clue. I went online, can't even order a thing off their website! Called the store today to ask if they could look if they had it-was declined saying they weren't aloud to disclose that information! You can't disclose something that someone wants to purchase??? All I want is to give them business-love what they carry, and I understand the store is huge and it's a lot of work for upkeep-but tell customer service reps to be more respectful!! read more

I heard about this place and was excited for it to open. I actually drove by it on Feb 3rd, 2016 and tried to go in and realized that I had to wait 1 more day. I went back on 2/4/16 with my wife and we love this place!! I took a LOT of photos. Check it out!! This place is HUGE! It has something for the rustic to the flamboyant. It has something for everyone and their brother!! There are 3 aisles of just mirrors!! They have the most lamps that I have ever seen, patio stuff, all types of furniture, artwork and everything in between!! This is a true 1-stop shop. If they don't have it, then I would be surprized. They have fun things for inside and outside to include fun things for your garden or flowerbed. The prices are VERY reasonable. We filled our cart and headed to the check out and spent less than $400. I now want to bring every family member there to see it. I signed up for the member club which is free and they sent me a 10% off coupon for next time. There are coupons out there, some nice lady handed us a 15% off coupon that she didn't need and saved us some money too! Look for coupons, they are out there. The store is so large, I am sure that I couldn't see everything in one trip so I am definitely going back. We even bought gifts for family members too. There is no chance that you will not find something that you will like here. Classy stuff, house warming items, garden/yard items, vases, lamps, art, touching and inspirational signs and the list goes on and on!! Been back, still overpriced. Saw many items especially "wood" fiber board furniture at full price that was damaged. Can't believe how the hardware is misaligned on so many pieces. The rug and picture assortment is like a tornado went through. I always want to like it but find I go there for ideas and bu higher quality for the price elsewhere... everything is cheap particle/fiber board... the other box stores like Hobby Lobby, Homegoods, TJ Max offer better or the same quality for the price. So here's the thing about At Home: No, it is not Home Goods, and no, you won't get service like at Pier1 or Kirkland's. But yes, you can find incredible stuff here, especially little home accents and decor, seasonal everything, and functional things like lamps and kitchen supplies. That said, I LOVE THIS PLACE. I was introduced to it by a good friend who can well afford to shop anywhere she pleases. She finds many things here for her upscale home. While shopping at At Home, I have always seen a spectrum of customers, from moms strolling wee ones looking for inexpensive home decor, to well-dressed interior designers purchasing things for home staging or client projects. I've bought tons from this store as well as the one in Blaine. What I would choose to purchase here: stools, dining chairs, wall art, large-scale faux trees/plants, mirrors, rugs, home decor (vases, silk florals, large bowls, wire baskets...), outdoor stuff (cushions, rugs, urns...), little gifts, and seasonal decor. Also, this place is a godsend for people planning a wedding -- the silk florals are great and much less expensive than I can find anywhere for similar quality -- even online. What I would think twice about buying here: larger furniture items like tables and consoles. If you buy those, look closely and make sure you understand that you are getting a low-quality piece for your money -- some are fine and will withstand use (especially the smaller-scale end tables, anything metal/glass, or heavy wood...) but some will need to be carefully used or placed in an area that is more for display than function. One downfall is that there are few employees to assist -- in fact, you may not see one until you check out. That is NOT A PROBLEM for me. I hate being hounded by well-meaning salespeople at other stores and I like being left to puzzle out what pieces I want to add to my cart. I fully understand that this is how they keep their prices low! An additional downfall is that their website is *look only*, meaning you can not find something at a store in another location across the country and purchase it online. I have been told this may change in the future, and it can not happen fast enough for me. Bottom line: Don't expect this to be a super-sized Home Goods, although there are many similarities, and don't expect to see high quality furniture, although the furnishings they showcase are on-trend and most are good looking. Walk in with an open mind with nothing specific on your shopping list, and you can have a lot of fun here. I'm rating it 4 stars for its place in its class, not compared against higher-end/higher-priced stores -- this is simply an economical place to buy the kinds of things you don't expect to keep forever. I love buying things for the season or to give a certain room in my home an effective makeover without breaking the bank. This store was a "danger to my wallet," but the customer service experience sucked today! I'm not one to complain about a crappy customer service issue, but this incident was terrible. I walked around the store looking for certain items and I couldn't find an employee. After walking around the store for 30 minutes, I found a worker, maybe a manager who was putting up shelves. I said "Excuse me," trying to get her attention. First of all she didn't even acknowledge I was there at first till she came down from the ladder and then she replied with "Excuse me, what?" I told her roughly what I was looking in the store and where to find these items and she stood there and replied with a vague "Oh, just shop around the store, I'm sure you'll find it." After taking a second look around, I walked around thinking about what the worker had told me. I got rather turned off and left empty handed.
