The store was very crowded for this reason, but it's already a super teeny store so it was a lot. We patiently waited for the machine and got some cute prints! If you're looking for quality, unique pieces, but don't want to pay an arm and leg for it, then I suggest checking them out. The guys delivered the furniture without any problems. Curiosity is across the street from Young Joni and Dangerous Man, and it is a lovely little place! When we entered, we were greeted by an employee. Not even just greeted; he also struck up friendly conversation. Nice! Literally! The store is small but mighty, boasting very eye-pleasing house wares, gifts, decor, and more. I was mostly interested in and impressed with their plant holders/pots, local and mindful infant toys, care packages for new mothers, dinnerware, wall decor, and other pretty little things made by local artists. I thought the prices were very reasonably considering the items were mindfully curated and mostly locally sourced. I really look forward to coming back and shopping here once we get settled in our new home. The friendly employee (or maybe owner??) said that they rotate their inventory often. He also said that they don't have a ton of local clout (hence me neglecting them this whole time), so stop in and tell them you saw them on Yelp!

I was a little skeptical because I thought they had discontinued their fabric line a few years earlier. I was pleasantly surprised that the fabric selection is officially back! The only thing is that you no longer need to cut your own from a bolt; instead, they sell it in precut 3 meter length. The patterns and quality are just as awesome as they used to be, and it is really convenient if you're working on home textiles or quick craft projects. The only drawback to our visit was the timing. My only piece of advice is to ensure you do not arrive 30 minutes before the store closes. IKEA is simply too massive to navigate efficiently under a time crunch, and you will not have enough time to browse properly. Give yourself a solid window to shop!

I ended up coming home with some cool little Swedish wash clothes, a set of new glasses with French words on them and a gorgeous2 tiered platter rack thingy. I also REALLY wanted to bring home a unique one of a kind French bar cabinet but not sure where to fit it into our new place yet. I'll definitely be back for more cutesy gifts (most likely for myself!) and to see what else they add each month.

However, I never have a problem finding a parking spot. I seem to find items in this store that I don't see at others. I got a travel frother-mixer that charges with a USB cable. It was my first time seeing that combination. Normally, frothers require batteries (AA or AAA) to work. I also got a glass spritzer over a year ago. I use it to control the amount of oil I spray in a frying pan or on bruschetta, and it has been an awesome, practical find. Last week, I ended up getting iced tea in tea bags. They work well and don't require a lot of steeping time. The condiments section is extensive. You can find everything from chili oil to grainy mustard. I did enjoy the varieties of honey that this store had. I found raw and liquid forms. Some had hints of lavender and more. I saw a s'mores maker and a mini cooler. They intrigued me. Both HomeGoods and TJ Maxx share the same checkout area. Staff are always friendly and cheerful. The lineup was fairly long when I was here. However, there were at least six staffers on duty, so the line moved well. I love dropping by this store to check out the merchandise. I like this store a ton. (8)
