I was looking for a new primary care doctor and saw good Google reviews for this practice. It was…read moreimportant to me to find a private practice. It was close to home so I was excited and hopeful that I had found a new doctor. A couple weeks ago I went in for an annual exam. My appointment was at 3:00. I arrived a few minutes early and sat in the waiting area. Around 3:30 I was called back. I was asked why I was there by the assistant. I felt it was strange this was not notated in my chart. Anyway, she checked my weight, oxygen and blood pressure (which registered extremely low) then sent back to the waiting area as there were no rooms available. About 20 minutes after that I was called back and the assistant was going to check my vitals. I told her that was already done so back to the waiting room I go. This office was definitely not impressing me at this point. Maybe five minutes after that, I get called back and I am put in a room. I waited until 4:30 until Dr. Uzo finally came in. During my long wait for the doctor I did consider just walking out. Dr. Uzo seemed nice and asked me some health questions. She addressed the low blood pressure (which after talking to my daughter, who is a nurse, said they used too big a cuff on me which is why it registered so low). Around 4:45, I was taken to have my blood drawn by the office manager. She printed the labels that were to be attached to the vials and handed them to me with no explanation. I asked what I was to do with them and then she tells me to verify my name was correct. It was a strange interaction. When she was finished with the draw, she said I could go to the front and make my next appointment. She left me sitting in the chair. So I lifted the arm rest myself to get out of the chair and found my way back to the front of the office to leave. It would have been nice to be walked out instead of just left sitting there. All in all, I was there for two hours for a simple blood draw. A friend thinks they forgot about me in the room and they realized I was there when I came out to use the restroom during my long wait for the doctor. Sadly, I will not be back and will continue my search for a new primary care doctor.

I arrived a few minutes before my arrival time so that I could check-in. Upon walking to the check-in area, I was. It greeted but instead received a look like "What do you want?". I made the young, light-skinned female aware that I made an appointment online and was checking in While waiting I attempted to use the restroom but no paper towels were present. I made the front desk aware and one attendant later came back with a box of Kleenex. One would think that they would have these supplies available as the world battles the coronavirus pandemic. It took almost thirty minutes to be called back for my rapid test. I was going to give this location 2-stars, but the nurse who called me back (Griselda) was very sweet. She made the visit bearable.

Bad communication, bad diagnosis, push you doing a survey and you aren't even out of the place yet. Still waiting on my call back. They know they messed up, so doubt I will hear from them. Save your life and choose another location. These people will kill you from utter incompetence! Lemme help my fellow yelpers on the front end. Don't go! Go somewhere else!!

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Took my son in with a bad sore throat, swollen tonsils,…read moreand white patches on his tonsils. The doctor took his weight, asked me if he was running a fever, and took one glance at his throat. Did a half@$$ swab of his throat, which she said showed negative for strep. My son has a terrible gag reflex and he said he hardly felt it because she barely swabbed him. The only other thing she did was look in one ear and in his nose. Said he had drainage and a bad cold, upper respiratory infection. Throat was just viral and to take mucinex. She never even took his vitals! She did not take his temp, no blood pressure, no pulse, no respirations, never listened to his lungs. She spent way more time checking off boxes on her computer than actually looking at my son. I thought maybe I missed her taking his temp while I was getting out my drivers license and insurance card, so I asked her if he was running a fever. She said no, he wasn't. My son looked at me funny. He told me afterwards that she never even took his temp. Yet on his discharge papers there was a temperature logged along with respiration's and a pulse rate. So after having to pay them on Friday with our high deductible restarted for the year, I will have to pay another doctor tomorrow to actually treat my son because he's just gotten worse over the weekend and his "viral" throat has even more white patches and his tonsils are almost touching they are so swollen. Long story short, avoid this clinic like the plague! That is unless you like to have to pay someone else a second time to do the job they could not the first time.

The staff were super helpful and after running some tests on me, recommended that I go immediately to the hospital. Thank God I did...I wound up in the hospital twice with very high blood pressure and edema in my legs and feet. They probably saved my life. The second time was late last year when I was afraid I might have Covid again. The test was negative, but they saw me on a day when my PCP was unable to. They recommended different medicines than I had been on and I quickly got better starting the next day. I've been one other time a few months ago. Each time the doctors and assistants have been superb. I thanked them for their care and great service!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Piedmont Urgent Care!!!!!…read more First, I was asked to put my card on file but was told I would not be charged anything before being notified. The receptionist said they would call me if there was a balance after filing insurance. Several weeks later I was charged $257 without any notification. Secondly, the nurse practitioner is completely incompetent. She prescribed my daughter ear drops that after insurance costs approximately $300 and would not be available for 2 days. I had to return to the office to ask for another medication as the NP would not answer the pharmacist call. She then called in another random prescription that was not in stock. The pharmacist had to call the clinic once again in an attempt to inform her of the most commonly and in stock medication used for swimmers ear to which she finally prescribed. Incompetence at the highest level!!!
