Usually I love Piecasso, but this place has been slacking with take-out and delivery orders. I've been here three times in the past week... 1st visit: 25 minutes for a take out order of calamari, garlic knots, and a salad. They told us it would be 15 minutes when we called. I showed up 5 minutes early and waited for 20 minutes. Not impressed, but also not that big of a big deal, so I decided to go again a couple days later. 2nd visit, ordered some slices at the counter with some friends and then went and sat in the bar area. Took 15 minutes to get our PBRs, five minutes of which we saw them just sitting on the bar. Somebody at our table eventually just got up and went and grabbed them...and the second he did the girl running drinks was like "oh, let me grab those for you." We were done with our pizza before we got our beer. Third visit: I ordered some simple things for delivery and they told us it would take an hour (I live less than 3 minutes down the road). Not a big deal though. Then they call us an hour and ten minutes later to let us know that the delivery guy's running late and that it'll probably be another 30-40 min. We ordered a small cheese pizza, calamari, side of ranch, slice of bbq chicken, and a salad. I asked if the food was still at the restaurant, which it was. I cancelled the delivery and decided to just drive down to get it. When I asked the girl oh the phone if the food was ready she said yes. I also asked her if it was still hot and she said yes. So I drive down there and give them my name and the girl tells me the food order isn't ready...at which point I sit down in the waiting area without incident. At this point I'm just really unhappy with the whole Piecasso service issue. 13 minutes go by and I finally get up to see what's up, and the same girl who had helped me before acted like this was the first time she was helping me..."can I help you?" Uhhh...yes please, you can give my order that you called about and told me was ready. She disappears into the kitchen for about another 3 minutes and comes back with my food just piled up on itself, no bags or anything. There was no side of ranch so I had to ask for one again. Then I noticed she hadn't given me my slice of BBQ chicken pizza, at which point she told me I didn't order one and started going through the computer, finally saying "oh, it was a slice, not a whole pizza, got it". At least she offered to warm it up for me, but I just wanted to get out of there. Then I get home and open up the calamari, which was good on my first visit a couple days before. It was half calamari and half onion rings...which is ridiculous because Piecasso doesn't even sell onion rings I'm told. What happened, did you guys run out of calamari and try to add "filler"? Just a ridiculous experience all around. I try not to blow up restaurants on Yelp without a couple bad experiences...and this one deserves a bad review because of it. Get your shit together Piecasso, probably starting with those two little girls working the takeout bar with the cool sideways caps. I don't blame them, I blame management. In all fairness, the pizza is actually really good...but the bad service has left a poor taste in my mouth. Since Stowe is rather devoid of acceptable eateries, it sucks to take Piecasso off my "go-to" list...but I'll probably give it another go about a year from now when I'm back to visit. Pick it up Piecasso...you guys are good, but you're not good enough to stop paying attention to detail. Case in point...Santos. At one point they had some pretty good food, but they didn't give a shit about their customers...it didn't work out so great for them and this is a really small town. read more
