She did not notify me verbally of this prior to me paying in cash (which I did to avoid the 4% credit card fee). That's essentially theft. You can't keep money just because you're short. If pennies are so inconsequential, then give back the customer a nickel instead. I bet business would put up a huge fit if the customer asked them to just take less than what they're owed. Not only that, when I paused in taking the cash, the woman then goes into the till and says, "I have ONE penny." So... essentially you lied first about not having any pennies, and you're still short on giving me my change. Can you imagine taking your grandma/nona's $5 to the candy store, then coming back with a receipt that you spent $1 but don't have the rest of her change to return? Absolutely not.

Perfect, buttery, delicious, with just the right about of crisp and flakiness. Wasn't soggy on the bottom. The key lime had a perfect ratio of cream to pie and the filling was so smooth and not overly stiff/congealed like I've had elsewhere. $6 for a giant slice of happiness is a great deal. The staff was hustling with smiles on their faces. There was a short line, but it moved quickly! The coffee and hot cocoa prices were fantastic - $2/$3 each. The breads on the wall rack looked perfectly baked. Well leavened and nicely browned and crisp! I picked up the cinnamon focaccia, strawberry crumble bun, and blueberry crumble bun. Everything was delicious! They were perfectly baked with loads of filling in the buns. The cinnamon focaccia was even better than expected! It was buttery, crispy, and sweet. Can't wait to pop in again when I'm downtown!
