Mostly non meat salads, lentil soup, humus, pita and fries. All very well put together and flavorful. Can't say I have a favorite, all were good. Oh and the rose lemonade was delicious, too. Will definitely return for more. Everyone should try this place at least twice.

I ordered the chicken kabob wrap with a choice of salad or fries for $20.99, along with a 16 oz pistachio coffee for $8. After tax, I was right around $32 total. The food was okay, but that's really all I can say about it. For nearly $21, the portion was small and the meal did not feel remotely worth the price. And then there's the $8 pistachio coffee. This was one of the biggest disappointments. It tasted like regular coffee with some crushed pistachios thrown in, yet they're charging $8 for a 16 oz cup. I've had plenty of specialty coffee at Starbucks that costs less, tastes better, and is consistently made. To make matters worse, the woman at the register told me they were missing the base for the coffee I ordered. If you're charging $8 for a drink, I expect it to be made correctly, taste good, and be consistent. The biggest issue with Mankish is value. For around $30, I can feed two people at In-N-Out. I can feed two people at Chipotle. At Mankish, I spent roughly $30 on one small meal and a mediocre $8 coffee. The food isn't terrible , it's just completely overpriced for what you're getting. When you're charging premium prices, the portions, quality, consistency, and overall experience need to justify it. Unfortunately, they don't. $30+ for one person and I left feeling like I barely ate. Overall: 3/10. The food is okay, but the prices are ridiculous for the portions and quality. The $8 coffee was especially disappointing. I wouldn't return.

As with my previous two visits, the service was very good and professional. We were greeted immediately and seated. The restaurant has a few tables outside in front, while the indoor dining area is long, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The wall decorations are reminiscent of the ancient ruins of Iran's Achaemenid dynasty. Daryoush, after whom the restaurant is named, was one of the most powerful kings of that dynasty more than two millennia ago. We started with Salad-e Shirazi, which literally means "salad from Shiraz," a historic city in Iran. It's made with chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions, dressed with lime juice. I usually add a little olive oil. It hit the spot and whetted our appetites! For our main course, we ordered the Daryoush Plate, which comes with three kabob skewers: filet mignon (Barg), chicken (Jujeh), with a choice of breast or thigh, and ground beef (Koobideh). It also comes with two servings of basmati rice. Since we didn't want to overeat, we substituted a salad for one serving of rice. Even then, when the food arrived, it was a generous amount for two people! The chicken breast kabob was perfect! The other two kabobs were very good, and the rice was just fine. We wrapped up our meal with a couple of cups of Persian tea. After three visits, Daryoush remains a place I enjoy returning to for good Persian food and consistently attentive service.

The dolmades are so sweet and tender with a fantastic balsamic glaze sauce that is to die for! The hummus is nothing I've tasted before. The dip has tomatoes, onions, parsley, garlic and? That dip is just amazing! The garlic shrimp was good but I'm a garlic lover so bring it on! The flavors of the food at Silk Road are Amazing! The service wasn't exactly friendly- they didn't really communicate much with me and just pointed at my to-go bag and where to tap my card. I don't typically like lamb but it was very juicy and seasoned well here, so I enjoyed it! The chicken was delicious and definitely my favorite. I thought the rice was just ok, it was bit dry. I agree with others that it's a shame they don't include garlic sauce or other sauce on the side. The inside had a few tables for seating. I really love the thought behind their menu. There's such a diverse selection for both vegans and non-vegans, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so everyone can come together and actually have plenty of options. We ordered some of the same food we loved the first time and also tried the pizza this time. Once again, everything was amazing! And having vegan desserts to choose from just makes it even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and after getting to know a little more about the people and idea behind Sipeos, we appreciate this place even more. We'll definitely be back!

Of all places, I'm surprised the Bay Area doesn't have waaaaaay more plant-based dining, and I welcome any suggestions from my fellow Yelpers on spots I may have missed! So when I learned of Sipeos, featuring a plant-based Mediterranean menu, I immediately bookmarked it, and this weekend we tried it out. To be clear, since the term 'plant-based' gets muddled a lot these days, Sipeos is a vegetarian, not strictly vegan restaurant. However, they do have fully vegan options, and other selections can be modified to be vegan - yay for vegan cheese! We perused the menu, and ordered a couple of drinks, and the Under the Tuscan Sun pizza to share: mozzarella, arugula, mushrooms, and beans. Pretty tasty, but I do wish there was less dough. Props for a 100% seed oil-free menu! Their beverage program promotes low and no-alcohol cocktails, wines, and beers. Not my jam, but I understand the intention, and that's what the cool kids are into these days. It's also odd to me that mocktails are priced the same as actual cocktails, and not just here, I've noticed this trend at other places as well. But if you want to spend $14 for juice, who am I to argue? Service was good, and the ambiance was nice. May return at some point.
