I had two antique prints my father got from the artist in the 1950s. The paper had oxidized and the…read moremats were stained. I didn't even realize the glass was affected until Andy took them out of their frames. We did something unorthodox with matting and framing, I think he was skeptical about it but ended up humoring me. They turned out absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier. The prints look amazing and Andy's expertise was definitely appreciated. The cost to frame the 2 fairly large prints was so reasonable that I laughed out loud when he told me the price. I'm about to take him another group of prints and I'm looking forward to it. I saw a review that mentioned the barking dog and I wanted to address that. The dog does get excited and he does bark, but he calms down pretty quickly and gets quiet. It's certainly not enough of an issue to keep me from bringing lots more business to him.

I looked around for a few minutes and found my pieces. The price was right as they were on sale. So, I purchased them. I was happy to own these beautiful works of art, but my experience with the woman who condescended me left a bad taste in my experience there. She treated me with no more respect than as though I were an ignorant gorilla seeking to purchase something that was above my unrefined, know-nothing inabilities. All I wanted to do was make my purchase and leave quickly, as her contempt towards me for my not having a doctorate in contemporary fine art was palpable. To the very end, she disregarded my concern about wrapping the one-thousand-fourteen-hundred-dollar paintings, dismissing my inquiry because they were sale items. I will never walk into a Weems Gallery again: Precisely because of her.
