We didn't know about this place until we pulled into the parking lot because we were going to the Vietnamese restaurant. Nice spot and everything clean and organized. People were super friendly and not pushy at all. I collect X-Men Marvel Legends and I found some here that were decently priced, new and loose figures. They had some figures from older waves. I don't do comics, but they had what seemed like a good selection and had some graded ones as well. Lots of variety here of different things hotwheels and funko pops, we will come back if we're in the area. I came away with a figure and was satisfied. This was a nice find for us. read more

From outside the appearance of the building appears to be small but that's deceiving. Good selection of (what they were called in my day) action figures, Pop funkos, Legos, and other toys including hot wheels and game pieces. I observed the prices to be reasonable. There are comics and graphic novels. A good selection of current Comics which includes DC, Marvel and other comic distributors. A few boxes of back issues are available. Employees are always friendly, the place is clean, it's easy to get through the aisles. I really like the pricing on things. Usually find something that I'm looking for every time I go. Have a good selection of toys and a good selection of comics both back issues and new ones. Overall I think it's a good deal for what you're getting then it's a nice environment to get it from. I just wish they would carry board games if I had anything to say differently about this that would be it. I was in there today for Batman day because they had 20% off of all Batman items. I think this place really wants to be a toy store. Fully 60%+ of the floor space is various toys, action figures, etc. There are also a lot of collected sets of comics, nicely (and somewhat expensively) curated and bundled, though not really organized. I didn't see a lot of loose back issues, some trades, and some anime floating around. This is probably where I would go if I was trying to hunt down something specific. read more

This little shop was great! It had to many variety of carded figures and they even sold loose parts. It was a little small and crowded but we loved what they sold. The guy was very helpful and kept checking on everyone. They also have pop figures and large collectibles. But there was part of the sore that's blocked from people so I wasn't sure what they were doing. We defiantly will be coming back. read more

I'm going to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say that I came in at the worst day for the store in terms of workers. Let me start by saying that this place is a manifestation of all of the creepy weirdo nerd stereotypes that populated television shows during the early 2000's. The walls of this establishment are lined with what I can only describe as soft core pornography. I should add that I am not a prudish person, but I do think that what the guy in the store clearly "uses" in his spare time should be kept private. The women in those pictures were so scantily clad, that them actually being naked would be less sexual and uncomfortable for shoppers. The only worker in the store at the time I came in was actually helpful, explaining where I could get what I was looking for. However, his helpfulness is diminished with the fact that he started directly at my aunt while answering MY question. He also had what I can only describe as a beard pony tail. All in all, this isn't the worst comic book store in the continental United States, but it is haunting to see a vestige of the past still alive in the modern world. read more

This was a great looking store. Easy to find and the staff were super helpful. I was looking for a lot of older issues that were behind the counter. They had no problem letting me look through those boxes. They have a large amount of toys, card games and a good bit of back issues. They were also fairly priced!!!!!! That was great. After moving to Albuquerque several months ago one of the first things I intended to find was an awesome comic book shop. While I did find a few around the city, Lobo has been the first to "Wow" me to the point of reviewing. The stock here is awesome and the prices are just right. Even better are the employees. Mia was the one who helped me and was able to find what I was looking for and give me a bunch of info on things I was interested in without batting an eye. Got together what I wanted, helped me get my bags and boards and rang me up in just a few minutes. I have been to all the comic stores in town and this is my favorite. This is a store where they learn your name and your likes and dislikes. They have the best deals in town and amazing dollar bins. This is where I get my comic subscriptions and they always have them ready when I get there. If I have questions, everyone is very nice about it. I wish they had a Westside location, but since there really isn't a dedicated comic store I go all the way across town to come here. read more

I was in Albuquerque recently visiting family and a friend recommended this place, and I'm glad I stopped by! I loved the store and the selection, and the employees were exceedingly friendly. I don't think I've ever met anyone with as much knowledge about Spider-Man as Justin displayed, and he made some excellent recommendations that I can't wait to try. Most of the staff are super great. Willing to engage and talk with individuals about their interests and favorite characters. Knowledgeable and are pretty great... but the business dynamic, same old comic book shop. No reason to sell to them, unless you just want to get rid of your stuff. Was extremely disappointed with a small offer for some decent conics. If you want to chat and enjoy the atmosphere, pick up some normal priced comics, pretty decent shop. Selling stuff? Left a google maps review but noticed that didnt bump it up too much in the results I feel this place should be #1. After going to many different shops over the years I can say this is hands down the best shop in Albuquerque I use to frequent Astro Zombies Comic Warehouse and Hastings occasionally (for the cheap back issues). After awhile I began to feel uncomfortable at Astro if you don't know exactly what you want they can sometimes seem to almost degrade you for that which I am good on. Comic Warehouse changed owners and I didn't go for sometime After going in and being followed around and questioned about where I put comics that I picked up at (they were charging 25 for a blackest night first print of one of the green lantern corps issues that I actually ended up finding across the street at hastings for 50 cents didn't feel the same as it used to. Thanks to a friends suggestion I went to Lobo and instantly fell in love with the place. First off the staff is Amazing Chad, Henry, Sam, and Dante are usually there at the times I go in and they are all amazing and knowledgeable. Chad was probably the first person I had interaction with and man he is not only very knowledgeable on his comic history (past and present) but he will also offer suggestions on comics he thinks you may like (he has not steered me wrong yet) without trying to break your bank and he definitely doesn't make a big deal or make you feel dumb if you ask him a question. Next is the inventory I have definitely found some gems here comics, graphic novels and even collectible figures! I love the fact that they will hold any items for you if you call in and they will not be calling every hour making sure you didn't forget. The prices are also amazing they usually just charge cover price even for variant covers (I have seen a few shops charging 10 dollars for a comic that just came out simply because it is a variant) same with everything else in this shop which amazes me the classic star wars figures they have haven't been open then stapled back shut great prices on these as well. I know this is quite a bit to read but if your as passionate as building your comic collection as I am then this is totally the place to go. read more

My daughter loves anime and unless I go to the mall (which I hate doing) its hard to find her stuff. This place is right down the road from me and I had no idea.
