Great paperback and comic book selection. This is one of the most browsable used book stores around. The only one that comes close is The FriendShop in Rio Rancho. lots and lots of stacks to get lost in. I found comic books and pulp novels I've been looking for for years. The only slight issue is that, because of the neighborhood, they have to buzz you in. So for someone like me who is wracked with Jewish guilt I alway feel I need to buy at least something before I get buzzed out. read more

My son was thrilled to find many Stephen King books and other graphic novels. While the contemporary fiction/poetry selections weren't as large as mass paperbacks (romance, mystery), there were still some distinct finds. The two people behind counter were super helpful. I have forgotten about this amazing little bookstore. This gem is full of amazing books, especially if you are looking for hard to find books from perhaps your childhood or other genres. I saw some mad magazines-hadn't seen those in a long time. They are open Tuesday-Saturday 11:00-5:00. Lots of stuff to see so plan to spend some time searching. Prices are great also. The owners have been at this for more than 50 years. That, I think, is impressive. read more

This is a solid used book store. The owner is friendly and knows books well. Some of their more popular books are located behind the cashier, so ask about that. Reasonable prices, about what you'd expect to pay for a used book. Books are clean and in good condition. Broad selection of books, including sci-fi and fantasy, but many other genres. read more

To be fair, I haven't been in Dons for 30 years. On the other hand, in the early 70's I was there all the time. I knew Don, and his son was just starting to help in the business. I bought hundreds of comics from the store (and still have them) I'm sure it's the same, tidy friendly place it always was . I'm really happy to see that it's still there. read more
