I was in pain for months and told there was basically nothing wrong with me. I went to massage, for Reiki...and still no relief from the pain. .my gut told me there was something seriously wrong. Even the Reiki practitioner told me there was something "evil " in my abdominal area. I requested an order for an abdominal CT which was reluctantly issued after a 2 week wait. My instincts were right. I had a tumor...a big tumor that ended up being a stage 3 cancer. I ended up going out of state for treatment, and thank God I did, otherwise I would not be writing this review. I probably would not be alive. Dr. Komadina delivered my youngest child over 24 years ago (I will add that he was the BEST…read morephysician of the three I had delivering my children!). With insurance changes, I saw other doctors for gynecology over the years, but have gone back to his practice once he evolved from obstetrics to the hormone replacement side of medicine. I had many friends talking about the success they had with hormone treatment and gave it a go after experiencing various symptoms due to menopause. I gotta say that pellet treatment is a game changer! If you decide to go down this path, make sure to stick with it a few cycles...a couple of my friends stopped after one session; I would recommend you go for at least a year to give it time to work completely (I go every 4 months for pelleting). I don't think insurance covers this, but it's worth paying out of pocket for me to relieve many symptoms due to aging. From what I've heard, Dr. Komadina has the some of the highest numbers (if not the highest) of BioTE patients in the US which makes me feel even more confident seeing him for this treatment. One final thought...some of my friends had told me that hormone replacement was a "marriage enhancer." I will say this has been true in my case lol...I'll leave it at that.

Now they are trying to say I owe another $43.00 which just jumped to $71.00 Because the immediately sent me to collections. Don't go here. They just want to rope you in, give you wild yam which you can order online yourself. The provider had a flat affect and seemed very uninterested in what she was doing. Their billing practice is not transparent. A nurse practitioner colleague of mine told me after the fact, Health Horizon does not have a very good reputation. they will triple what they originally say the first appointment costs then send you to collections within 3 months. How is this not a scam? I received nothing from the first appointment what so ever that was remotely useful.

This review is for Dr. Doggett himself, not for Davita. Dr. Doggett is probably one of the most…read morethoughtful, intelligent, conscientious, and thorough doctors of any sort that I've worked with. He's not a slick, feel-good kind of guy, but he really brings his full attention to your health issues and he doesn't let anything slip. In the short time we've worked together, he's been so systematic and smart in how he has sorted through my sleep issues, and he even detected a heart arrhythmia that my cardiologist and previous sleep doctors had missed. Davita itself is another matter. It's a big, non-local corporation, and not the greatest to work with in terms of billing, records, or general service. Dr. Doggett is retiring at the end of this month, and it seems like a lot of the better doctors from Abq Health Partners have been leaving since the Davita takeover. Hope Davita will get its act together and make things better for both physicians and patients. We really need a solid alternative to Presbyterian here, and Davita could easily fill that void if they'd just show a little more care and attention to detail.

$350 for a 10-minute consultation that went absolutely nowhere. Since Dr. Doggett works for DaVita…read moreMedical Group, they agreed to let me pay the $350 in monthly installments, and when I had 2 installments left to pay ($82.50), someone at DaVita decided to turn my account over to a collection agency, in spite of me not having missed any payment. When I called DaVita to clarify this after the first call from a collection agency, the person I talked to at DaVita said that "someone had made a mistake". I told her I would pay the remaining balance on my account online, the way I had been paying the statements, and I asked her to please contact the collecting agency to remove my account, which she never did. After paying off the total balance with DaVita, I still kept getting calls from the collecting agency, so I called DaVita again to ask them to please remove my account from the collection agency, and to also get a letter from them (DaVita) showing that I owed them $0.00; she did send me this letter, but she never contacted the collection agency, because I kept getting calls. I called DaVita once again (at this point, I had spent at least 2-3 hrs of my life talking to them and to the collecting agency) to ask them to contact the collection agency so they removed my account. This time, I asked to talk to a supervisor, because obviously they had ignored my requests in my previous calls. The supervisor was extremely dismissive and hung up on me without even listening to what I had to say, I called back but only got a voicemail, so I left a very clear message asking them to contact the collecting agency and remove my account because I owed them $0.00 and I had already paid my balance off weeks ago. I am still receiving calls from the collecting agency, so I had to go to their office in person to show them the letter from DaVita that states clearly that I owe them nothing, but they still said they need to contact DaVita to verify that the letter is not fake. I have spent a great amount of my very valuable time on this matter, and nobody is going to give me that time back, in addition to all the emotional distress this has caused, but neither Dr. Doggett nor DaVita care at all; their website states "At DaVita Medical Group, our focus is offering you the personalized care you deserve". It should read instead "At DaVita Medical Group, all we care about is to try to get as much money out of you as possible, in the least considerate way". Looking at their "Executive Team" (http://www.abqhp.com/AboutUs/ExecutiveTeam) makes me sick, what a bunch of white collar crooks, probably making 7-figure salaries at the expense of the little guy. Absolutely disgusting.
