The lady who he spoke to originally said his medication would be ready in about ten minutes and to have a seat he said that she seemed to have an attitude and was just not the nicest person to him, he ended up waiting almost an hour. He walked back up to the window and was told by a young lady he said was named Arianna the lady helping him originally stepped out and didn't get it filled yet. He said the young lady who helped him after being forgotten about was a much better help and actually got him his medication and was very apologetic for the other worker's treatment towards my grandpa, he grabbed the young ladies name to thank her and said he really appreciated the help that she gave and the kindness she showed him. Sadly just really poor service from initial help.

Dr. Esparza and his PA treated me with lidocaine trigger point injections, which loosened my muscles immediately. The injections relieved the sciatica and back pain within an hour and the relief lasted weeks. Our son was treated here after the initial evaluation was confirmed of a broken femur. The hospital…read morehad a team in and providing a treatment plan rather quickly. They explained that due to the severity of the break, they would have to conduct surgery to reconnect the bone. They gave two options beginning with the hope of less invasive, flexi-nails, which would provide the needed implant to allow healing but less likely to impact the long term growth of the femur. The second option provided was not as child growth friendly, plates and screws. The team advised they would have to wait on conducting the surgery until morning, with an outlook to release the following evening. The team then went right to work on a temporary setting of the leg in a soft cast until surgery. They provided comfort care from that point until the time for surgery. Upon surgery time our son was brought back in an immobilizer brace and advised they were able to conduct the less invasive procedure. Our son received minimal wounds which was a huge relief on our part. We were very happy with the quick and helpful response of our sons team and he is already doing so much better with little to no pain a week later. Just waiting on his one month follow up appointment.

I wish I could breakdown this review into areas such as the doctors, nurses, admin, and the hospital itself. So I will do this in the body of this review. When we checked in and they triaged my son they immediately brought him back. After further work up they decided to admit him. After admitting him they found us a room. When he wasn't responding to treatment they came by and explained why he needed to go to the PICU. For the most part we dealt with nurses and residents and some times the attending came by. For the most part, the nurses were awesome and some were so-so. But overall the staff seemed attentive and handled the needs of my son well. Most parents will want to have the full attention of everyone there because that is your kid. But I work in healthcare so I have some degree of reasoning to know they do the best they can. So overall I give them a 4. I would give them a 5 but there was one thing that bothered me immensely. The family bathroom in the PICU was dirty the entire time we were there. This is sad can't even take my child in to get medication that she needs to have another person in the room and to have watch to entire thing, didn't even ask if it was ok for her to be in the room. The other doctors we have gone to have also had a judgemental attitude towards me and I'm not even there for me it's all for my child to get the best care I thought. These people are unprofessional, and rude. Stacy at the front counter is another one that is rude!! No professional attitude just attitude. When we call to verify an appointment or time once she hears my voice complete Change in tone. Why does this place continue to have people like this here. Please don't consider this place please. If you do decide to go here don't be surprised by the high turn around in doctors they even contact volunteer doctors and don't get me wrong you may get an outside doctor that means well but at a snap of a finer tey could be gone. Then you find yourself starting all over. If you seek medication management this is not the place for anyone, I see you only getting worse not better because one doc will get you on things that are helping you then you get another that doesn't agree with what your taking and change it up and you then are in limbo. I was very apprehensive at how well the NM DOH was going to be able to complete this massive task. I had been listening to media tales of state departments of health from around the country scrambling to administer their vaccines. I felt secure that it was going to happen. During the previous week I had received two reminders . . . and on the morning of the appointment I got a third reminder. It was going to happen. When it was "my day" to accept my vaccine fate, I left an hour early for a 15 minute drive. I had taken the entire afternoon off knowing that i would be lucky if that is all the time it would take. When I arrived at the NM DOH vaccine administration location, there was a line of cars. Oh great. Early and I was still going to have to wait. An employee immediately walked up to the car and very politely gave me an overview of what the process was. Oh great. One long line of cars that split into two lines and then wrapped around a huge parking lot. They gave me a short form to complete, an information sheet on the type/manufacturer of the vaccine I was going to receive, told me I would need my insurance card, an ID and I would have to take my jacket off. The vaccine was to be administered without ever getting out of the car. All along the car lines moving fairly quickly. Barely time to fill out the form. Periodically another employee stepped up to the window and input a little more info (1st dose? 2nd dose? registration number? birth date?) . . . and the cars kept moving. Two lines became one again. At the end of the third turn of the horseshoe around the parking lot two nurses stepped up to the window. One gave me verbal instructions on how to treat the injection site and where I was to park for 15 minutes while I waited to assure I had no reaction. When I turned to the second nurse I realized she had already given me the shot (absolutely did NOT feel a thing) and was putting a Band-Aid on it. Whow!! That was fast. This entire process was simple, but well coordinated. My afternoon turned into less than 45 minutes - including the 15 minutes I had to wait for any reaction. Everything I've seen from the New Mexico Department of Health since I moved back to NM is that they really have their act together. A well oiled machine. Makes me feel very secure in our New Mexico State Health Department.

This is a complaint about the NMDOH. I am over 75 years of age. I am also physically impaired…read more There is to be a mobility impaired option now. However, I called 1-855-600-3453. the hotline for the State & picked 0 for help as I was a told to do. I got a recording which told me to call 855-600-3453. I then called back picked option 0 then option 4 when I called again. Basically, I called back 4 times and got no where! I even called other numbers for DOH and they also told me to call -855=600-3453. I will not call any other numbers as they have not gotten their act together! I cannot waste any more of my time and just will not get the vaccine. Since I have caregivers who wear masks I will forget to pursue it. Tell our governor that there are mobility impaired people who will not waste their time and will be unvaccinated. She can extend it to people who are 16 years old to get the numbers up!!
