Fish tacos

This is a cute poolside restaurant and bar with excellent outdoor seating. This place has cute and fun ambiance, great staff and service, and ok food. I get the price and the ambiance but I've had better tacos and more affordable prices. The whipped avocado was highly recommended by the staff and even though it was very creamy and delicious, I wouldn't pay $22 for it again..

Made a reservation here for lunch while visiting Calistoga. We didn't stay at this property but it was great to check out! Located at the Solage resort by the pool, you can't sit by the pool (only for resort guests). We started with a round of tequila shots and ordered some drinks, I think I got the green flash. We got items to share for a party of 5. Elote, hearts of romaine salad, ceviches, squid/calamari. So fresh and so good. We did a. Variety of tacos-- quesabirria, crispy avocado, and fish tacos. We devoured our meal it was so fresh and delicious! For dessert we got the churros and chocolate, flan, tres leches French toast, and Mangonada. Really good, service was good. Our server was super kind and friendly. It's also such a relaxing and beautiful area while enjoying lunch by the pool on a nice and hot day. There's hotel parking and not too far from the Calistoga festivities.

I had a solo lunch here and sat by the pool--it was absolutely lovely! The service was outstanding, attentive without being overbearing, and the food was so fresh and delicious. Everything was super clean, and the atmosphere was relaxing, making it the perfect spot to unwind. I can't wait to go back!

A wonderful place to eat in the most relaxing place in the area. We sat at the bar since the place was relatively empty but it was quite cold and the heater was on near the bar. The bartender was super nice and helpful. She helped us pick the food and wine. We got the fish tacos, which were amazing! Some of the best fish tacos I have had. The mexican street corn was also really good. We also got the bean dip and it was good.

Very relaxing by the pool restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Do not expect authentic Mexican food but it was very tasty. Started off with a kiwi mint vodka. It was so refreshing and tasty. We started off with chips and salsas. The chips were freshly made and crispy. All the salsas were tasty and even though they had a kick they were very good. We also got the whipped avocado with chips. It was slight and fluffy. The cotija cheese gave it a different flavor but in a good way. We got the carne asada with homemade tortillas. It was cooked very well it was very juicy and flavorful.

Beautiful property qnd great aesthetic and even greater food. Ordered the birra tacos and a chilling drink(forgot the name but it starts with a C) food came out fresh hot and fast. Would definitely be back

We came in for a late lunch and no reservations. There was plenty of tables but the hostess seem to be trying to figure out where to put us so I said we would sit at the bar. Hostess was happy about that because of all the reservations they had but the whole time we were there, there was plenty of open tables and when I looked online there was almost all reservation slots open. Bar was fine this line and had great service from the bartenders and the gentleman bringing out our food. My husband and I shared everything because there was so many things we wanted to try. Piconuts, Elote, Quesa tacos (tri tip was so tender), and the El Huarache. The El Huarache was probably my least favorite but it was still good. The drink i ordered was the Cabrera 1777.. delicious! Hopefully we will be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Oh , I forgot about the churros, small homemade churros that came out hot with chocolate sauce, can't go wrong with that

Had an incredible cocktail here, the Tepachaste. Not sure if you can dip into the jacuzzi or giant pool as a dining guest, but if you're staying at Solage, Picobar is definitely worth trying out for a night. We were Solbar-only until our fourth visit, what were we doing. The avocado tacos with chili oil and toasted peanuts were delicious. The ahi tuna tostada was the perfect accompaniment. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Plus, everyone here is chill, conscious, and kind.

Quesa-Birra tacos

Who doesn't love a world class luxury resort with a restaurant outlet that everyone talks about? Pico Bar highlights flavors from the Ensenada coast and the seasonality of wine county. Prior to visiting Pico Bar, I already heard so many good things. After about a year of hearing about the place I finally had the opportunity to try it out during a spa day Pico Bar is conveniently located by the pool and is open to the public. There is plenty of seating from the bar, seated tables and the fire pit. The bartender was so helpful and was able to give us recommendations on his favorite items on the menu including the drinks. Food came out quickly and I know this might seem basic but I really enjoyed the elote. The Quesa-Birra tacos were also a crowd pleaser. The hospitality was amazing from the team and just as good as the food. Truly can't go wrong with what you choose on the menu. The calamar for me seemed a bit overdone but was still a good experience. I think some of the items are a bit overpriced but the quality of the food makes it all worth it.

I saw the reviews about this place and featured in many blogs. I didn't expect it to be authentic Mexican but I felt this place was so-so. It's a very cute atmosphere and the service was friendly but I wasn't impressed by the food. The esquites were pretty good and the spicy aioli was nice. The birria tacos were not worth the price and were ok. I have had better. I think for the atmosphere and maybe some small bites this could be good but I was left wanting more.

Lettuce, cabbage, and tofu.

The restaurant is great ambience and the service is good. I wasn't impressed with the food. Maybe because I am Mexican and cook delicious food. The ceviche is not your typical Me I am ceviche. It needed to be marinaded in line. The salad needed flavor and the queso taco was average.

Cocktail menu

Love the avocado tacos here. The salsas are amazing here. Mezcal focused cocktail menu. Drinks were delicious. Mexican lager on draft was great too. Small ramekin side of salsa are $2 but worth it. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Great outdoor pool bar. Open to the public for dining. Definitely recommend

Unfortunately, what a disappointment! There was no one to greet us or offer us a table. Staff members repeatedly walked past us without acknowledging our presence. At one point, I actually had to walk to the kitchen to ask whether they were still seating guests. It was only 7 p.m. We asked to sit outside but were told that wasn't an option, so we settled for a spot in the bar. After waiting another 10-15 minutes, I finally caught the eye of a staff member, who told me she would be with us shortly. To make matters worse, there were no complimentary chips and salsa, as you would typically expect at a Mexican restaurant. The food was disappointing as well. With the exception of the sizzling fajitas, the dishes neither looked nor tasted fresh. Between the lack of hospitality, the long wait for service, and the underwhelming food, the entire experience was a letdown. We had been looking forward to a relaxed, enjoyable Mexican meal after a day of wine tasting, and Pacifico fell far short of our expectations.

When we arrived, Palisades Eatery had a lengthy line to place an order. While waiting, we could see into the open kitchen where the staff appeared visibly stressed and unhappy - not much of a welcoming atmosphere. As for decor, their 2025 Christmas tree remains sadly propped up in a corner. We found seating at a table that appeared to have been cut in half and pushed against one of the oddly blocked-off bay windows facing the street. During the long wait for our meal, we noticed the deceased and dying insects accumulated inside of the bay window. Unfortunately, this did not enhance the ambiance of our dining experience. Our Cobb salad, Roasted Beet salad, and Calistoga Caesar sandwich eventually arrived. After taking a few bites, we looked at each other and smiled, realizing we were both underwhelmed. None of the dishes stood out compared to the many other lunch options in Calistoga. In fact, after taking one bite of the Calistoga Caesar sandwich, my husband suggested that I skip it entirely. Following the posting of my unbiased review, I received a message from Palisades Eatery's "business manager" Angela R. which felt unnecessarily aggressive and slightly unbalanced. Please read Angela R.'s response and decide for yourself if this is the type of business you'd enjoy supporting.

While perusing the local businesses, we discovered Lincoln Avenue Brewery tucked in a small alley. A bartender by the name of Liza warmly greeted us as we took a seat at the bar. Since we were not terribly hungry at the moment, we ordered the Pork Belly from the appetizer menu. While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. If you're looking for exceptional customer service, a healthy variety of brews, and delicious food - I recommend visiting Lincoln Avenue Brewery!
