    Carne asada tacos
    Lyn S.

From the moment you walk in to this property you can tell it is a pure bliss. Campo Poolside is so relaxing they have Cabanas you can rent or simply lounge by the chair or table next to the poolside. We stayed by the pool and ordered a few small bites from the menu. Carne Asada Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Salmon Tacos all 5/5. The seasoning and flavor of each tacos are just amazing. I have to say the salmon was my ultimate favorite it was like salmon belly and it was amazing. It comes in 3 tacos and side of pickled radish mix. Ceviche 5/5 - sliced octopus seasoned perfectly and the protein was perfectly cooked we could not stop eating this. Guacamole 5/5 fresh avocado for sure and their freshly made chips made this very enjoyable to munch on by itself or add to the tacos. Churros 5/5 - this was very light and fluffy not too sweet it was so good. It came with a chocolate dip and we experimented and dipped the fresh cooked nacho chips from guacamole plate into the chocolate and we think we discovered a new dessert for them hahaha. Overall the servers were just so attentive and super pleasant and professional. Excellent customer service they treated us like Royalty. This place at the Four Seasons Resort is definitely 5-star.

Campo seems like a restaurant geared more toward hotel guests, but reservations can be made on opentable and can guarantee you a table if the place is busy. (It wasn't on the Saturday at lunchtime when we went.) It is valet parking only at the Four Seasons and complimentary if you are dining at Campo. You can either walk down to the restaurant or take a cart down (if offered by staff). It can be hard to find (signage would be helpful!) but just walk toward the adult pool at the end inside the gated pool area and look for the bar. When you see the bar, you are there. There's no host stand for you to check in at so you will likely have to spot a server to be seated. (That's what happened during our visit.) It's all outdoor dining by the pool with plenty of shade provided, though there are some gaps that let the sunshine in which could make it hot and uncomfortable depending on the weather. Also when I went, flies and a bee swarmed our table during the second half of our meal. That was a bit unpleasant, but the food and drinks were very refreshing for the summer day that we went. There were so many watermelon dishes I wanted to try but we settled on fish tacos, fruit salad, watermelon raspado, and agua frescas. Everything was really good and I wouldn't mind coming back to try their fall menu. For anyone planning to be in the area, even if not staying at the Four Seasons, I recommend dining at Campo. The grounds are beautiful, the pool area peaceful and relaxing, and the food and drink really good.

We happened to arrive when it was "golden hour" so there were some great options at reasonable prices. The guacamole and tacos were all excellent, so flavorful. Great service. All outdoor seating located poolside at the Four Seasons Napa Valley. They had a pretty big bee or hornet issue the day we were there and they descended upon our table as the food was served, so we had it all packed up and we took it back to our room. Honestly the best food we had that day even after eating at a more expensive restaurant later that day.

Then we ordered a bunch of food to share and they brought everything out slowly so we could eat it after it was freshly made. We got the oysters, slider, poke bowl, short rib, and fresh mozzarella bruschetta (I think the last one was a special). All so good! The ambiance was really nice with comfortable seating, fun lighting, and great music. I'd def recommend this place and go back myself!

With excitement in her eyes, she described the delicious tropical-inspired cocktails with good vibes to match. Since I had an upcoming birthday, I bookmarked the restaurant so that we would remember to visit it during our stay in Calistoga. After arriving in Calistoga on a Friday evening, my wife and I thought that it would be appropriate to have dinner and drinks at Robert's. Upon walking through the entrance of the restaurant, we observed a nice backyard-style layout with televisions tuned to the NBA playoffs, patrons enjoying glasses of wine, and a DJ playing smooth yacht rock tunes. A friendly employee informed us that it was open seating, so we sat ourselves along the padded seating in close proximity to the DJ. Shortly afterwards, a server came by to take our orders. My wife ordered the short rib, garlic fries, and the Sip It Slowly cocktail; I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Dumplings (suggested by the server), and the Jerk Old Fashioned. While we awaited our orders, the server brought us a delicious miniature size soup - which was absolutely delicious and definitely a tease! Shortly after, our drinks arrived. I found my drink to be delicious, strong, and was intrigued by the flavor that the little piece of submerged jerky provided. However, I will admit that I was a bit jealous when I snuck a couple sips of my wife's delicious cocktail. Up until the arrival of our meals, I was impressed. My wife found the short ribs to be just ok; additionally, her fries were lukewarm upon arrival and dry (as if they were overcooked). I have had Jamaican jerk chicken in Jamaica, so my expectations were very high. Unfortunately, the chicken was not flavorful and did not have the "kick (spice)" that I anticipated. Surprisingly, the highlight here was the dumplings (delicious!) and the Hint of Passion cocktail that I ordered (if I had a signature drink- this would be it!). I really should have listened to my intuition when we initially observed that a majority of the other patrons were just indulging in drinks, no food. When our server brought us the bill totaling roughly $160, I couldn't help but feel like the food was not in alignment with the price point. I wanted so badly to like this establishment, but honestly could not see myself returning for anything other than one of their cocktails.

This is hands down my…read morefavorite place in Calistoga, and I tell everyone who visits Napa Valley that this is a must-see destination. Don't just stop by for a meal--plan to spend a few hours exploring because every historic train car has its own unique experience. The amount of creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is incredible. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, and you can tell every decoration and element was placed with intention. I notice something new every time I visit. I honestly can't pick a favorite train car. Casa Obsidiana serves authentic Oaxacan cuisine in one of the most beautifully designed spaces. The Parlor Car is elegant and perfect for champagne, caviar, and fresh oysters. If you're visiting with kids (or just have a sweet tooth), Earth & Sky Chocolates is a must--everything is absolutely delicious. Then there's the First Millionaires' Saloon, which is one of the coolest bars you'll ever walk into. The décor alone is worth the visit, and the distillery adds another unique experience to explore. Every train car has its own personality, making the entire property feel like an adventure rather than just a place to eat. The food is fantastic across the board. My son is obsessed with the wood-fired pizzas, and we've never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks, dessert, or simply wandering through the train cars, there's something for everyone. What truly makes this place even more special is the people. Every single employee we've encountered has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and kind. Michael always goes out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home, and Pedro is just as friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, and that hospitality is a huge reason we keep coming back. To make it even better, they have live music every weekend, creating such a fun atmosphere that you'll want to stay for hours. I've visited many places throughout Napa Valley, and nothing compares to the Calistoga Depot. It's historic, beautiful, unique, family-friendly, romantic, and unlike anywhere else. Whether you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted cocktails, authentic Oaxacan cuisine, incredible desserts, live music, or simply a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll find it here. This isn't just one of my favorite restaurants--it's one of my favorite places, period. If you're in Calistoga, don't even question it. Put the Calistoga Depot at the top of your list. I promise you'll leave already planning your next visit.

Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

I actually first found out about it because of my obsession (and I mean obsession) with the banana bread at Sam's Social Club. If you know, you know -- it's ridiculously good. We're talking the kind of banana bread that ruins all other banana breads for you. It comes with this cloud of whipped mascarpone cheese on the side -- not butter, not cream cheese, mascarpone -- and it's just... bomb-diggity! I've literally daydreamed about it. But here's the problem: they sell out. Fast. Like, blink-and-it's-gone fast. So one of the last times I was in Calistoga, I was told that if Sam's Social Club runs out, you can actually grab it from La Palmiere, their little Airstream café on the same property. You better believe I made a beeline there -- and yes, they had it. Crisis averted. Banana bread secured. Happiness restored. Their menu is pretty limited (which I don't mind -- they stick to what they're really good at), and their hours are short, so definitely check before you go. But I've also tried their egg sandwich, and oh my gosh -- they use Model Bakery English muffins, which are basically the gold standard of English muffins. The second I saw that, it was an instant yes. Their avocado toast is another win -- super fresh and piled high. Like, they definitely don't skimp. I'm pretty sure it's at least one whole avocado per toast situation, and I am not mad about it. Oh, and even their coffee is solid. Simple, smooth, and hits the spot while you're sitting outside soaking up that relaxed Calistoga vibe. So if you're staying at Indian Springs -- or even just in the area -- do yourself a favor and swing by La Palmiere. Especially if Sam's Social Club is sold out of that heavenly banana bread. You can thank me later.

While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning.
