Casual poolside dining at the Four Seasons. Actually, it's located between the adult pool and the kid's pool (which, btw is a pretty nice pool for the kiddies). I arrived when they were near closing, so they were only serving drinks. I should've made reservations, but I like doing things on the fly. However, they were willing to serve food from Truss Restaurant, which was really accommodating, especially since Truss is quite a distance from Campo. You won't ever go wrong with a stay at the Four Seasons for their stellar customer service. Friendly service at Campo, and really everywhere on property. TIP: Reservations available

Campo seems like a restaurant geared more toward hotel guests, but reservations can be made on opentable and can guarantee you a table if the place is busy. (It wasn't on the Saturday at lunchtime when we went.) It is valet parking only at the Four Seasons and complimentary if you are dining at Campo. You can either walk down to the restaurant or take a cart down (if offered by staff). It can be hard to find (signage would be helpful!) but just walk toward the adult pool at the end inside the gated pool area and look for the bar. When you see the bar, you are there. There's no host stand for you to check in at so you will likely have to spot a server to be seated. (That's what happened during our visit.) It's all outdoor dining by the pool with plenty of shade provided, though there are some gaps that let the sunshine in which could make it hot and uncomfortable depending on the weather. Also when I went, flies and a bee swarmed our table during the second half of our meal. That was a bit unpleasant, but the food and drinks were very refreshing for the summer day that we went. There were so many watermelon dishes I wanted to try but we settled on fish tacos, fruit salad, watermelon raspado, and agua frescas. Everything was really good and I wouldn't mind coming back to try their fall menu. For anyone planning to be in the area, even if not staying at the Four Seasons, I recommend dining at Campo. The grounds are beautiful, the pool area peaceful and relaxing, and the food and drink really good.

We happened to arrive when it was "golden hour" so there were some great options at reasonable prices. The guacamole and tacos were all excellent, so flavorful. Great service. All outdoor seating located poolside at the Four Seasons Napa Valley. They had a pretty big bee or hornet issue the day we were there and they descended upon our table as the food was served, so we had it all packed up and we took it back to our room. Honestly the best food we had that day even after eating at a more expensive restaurant later that day.

This place is so cool and definitely worth a stop when you're in Calistoga…read more We stopped by for a quick lunch and were immediately led into the distillery, which can only be described as impressive. Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

The little shop in front- with the coffee bar has such great gifts, if needed. They also have the train cars that we were able to go into- each decorated differently... can be reserved for private parties. Such a cute find!

From the moment we arrived, the warmth, friendliness, and deep knowledge of the service staff made the evening feel truly special, and the pacing of the meal was impeccable as it never felt rushed or dragging, just a beautiful flow from course to course. Every single dish was spectacular, with each bite layered with flavor and intention, and the highlight of a night full of highlights was getting to tour the kitchen and even meet the Chef Garcia. At one point I mentioned a particularly delicious fish sauce martini I'd had elsewhere, and our server surprised me by bringing out a small pourer of fish sauce so I could customize my own tasting, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. You can really feel Chef Garcia's experience and talent in how he marries flavors, textures, temperatures, and heat; each course felt like a masterclass in balance and harmony. Given our experience, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Auro awarded a second (or even third) star in the near future.

The evening began with an array of tasty treats which paid homage to chef's Mexican heritage. Followed by a stunning focus on seasonal fishes, where global flavors and modern techniques came together in the most harmonious way. Bright and awakening flavors of the shima aji. Melt-in-your-mouth ora king salmon. Bold flavors balanced with the soft textures of rare seasonal kinki fish. The progression to the land courses was flawless. The 7-day dry-aged coriander crusted duck was a masterpiece with a crispy skin and tender meat. Followed by the 21-day dry-aged Australian Wagyu; smoky, rich, and deep in umami. The meal transitioned into its final act with multiple courses of tantalizing desserts that danced on the palette. The optional wine pairing was perfectly matched with wines from across the globe. Each wine meticulously explained with passion, with pours that were quite generous for Bay Area standards. The entire service team was so kind and knowledgeable, thorougly explaining each dish, in addition to answering our questions. A tour of the kitchen and a conversation with Chef Garcia himself was a delight, offering a glimpse into the passion that drives this kitchen. It's no surprise that Auro has earned its many consecutive Michelin star; the level of execution and creativity is staggering. Congratulations to the entire team at Auro. This was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I've had all year and a dining experience I will remember for a very long time.

Okay, so let's talk about one of my favorite little discoveries in Calistoga -- La Palmiere, the…read morecutest Airstream food truck tucked away on the property of Indian Springs Resort. I actually first found out about it because of my obsession (and I mean obsession) with the banana bread at Sam's Social Club. If you know, you know -- it's ridiculously good. We're talking the kind of banana bread that ruins all other banana breads for you. It comes with this cloud of whipped mascarpone cheese on the side -- not butter, not cream cheese, mascarpone -- and it's just... bomb-diggity! I've literally daydreamed about it. But here's the problem: they sell out. Fast. Like, blink-and-it's-gone fast. So one of the last times I was in Calistoga, I was told that if Sam's Social Club runs out, you can actually grab it from La Palmiere, their little Airstream café on the same property. You better believe I made a beeline there -- and yes, they had it. Crisis averted. Banana bread secured. Happiness restored. Their menu is pretty limited (which I don't mind -- they stick to what they're really good at), and their hours are short, so definitely check before you go. But I've also tried their egg sandwich, and oh my gosh -- they use Model Bakery English muffins, which are basically the gold standard of English muffins. The second I saw that, it was an instant yes. Their avocado toast is another win -- super fresh and piled high. Like, they definitely don't skimp. I'm pretty sure it's at least one whole avocado per toast situation, and I am not mad about it. Oh, and even their coffee is solid. Simple, smooth, and hits the spot while you're sitting outside soaking up that relaxed Calistoga vibe. So if you're staying at Indian Springs -- or even just in the area -- do yourself a favor and swing by La Palmiere. Especially if Sam's Social Club is sold out of that heavenly banana bread. You can thank me later.

First, my brother ordered this drink called the "Devil Went Down to Georgia" named after the Charlie Daniels song. It came out in a box filled with smoke! What a majestic entrance for a drink. Then, we had some divine oysters, and they brought us an adorable Tabasco bottle for some extra flavor. For our entrées, I was very impressed by how everyone's dish was so well done. I had the salmon cooked rare, and it came with a delicious sauce and roe that combined very well. Some of the best salmon I've ever had. My dad ordered a pizza, my brother ordered duck, and my mom ordered pork ribs. The pizza and duck were fantastic. I was surprised they could make such an excellent pizza. The duck was tender and delicious. The pork ribs were pretty good, but there wasn't a lot of meat on each bone. Regarding service, it was very nice of the staff to accommodate my mom's request of bringing out the box of smoke for the drink again. She was disappointed she couldn't get a video, and they ended up bringing another one of the same drink in the box, so she could film the delivery the second time. Living Room at TRUSS is off to a great start in every way
