Then we ordered a bunch of food to share and they brought everything out slowly so we could eat it after it was freshly made. We got the oysters, slider, poke bowl, short rib, and fresh mozzarella bruschetta (I think the last one was a special). All so good! The ambiance was really nice with comfortable seating, fun lighting, and great music. I'd def recommend this place and go back myself!

With excitement in her eyes, she described the delicious tropical-inspired cocktails with good vibes to match. Since I had an upcoming birthday, I bookmarked the restaurant so that we would remember to visit it during our stay in Calistoga. After arriving in Calistoga on a Friday evening, my wife and I thought that it would be appropriate to have dinner and drinks at Robert's. Upon walking through the entrance of the restaurant, we observed a nice backyard-style layout with televisions tuned to the NBA playoffs, patrons enjoying glasses of wine, and a DJ playing smooth yacht rock tunes. A friendly employee informed us that it was open seating, so we sat ourselves along the padded seating in close proximity to the DJ. Shortly afterwards, a server came by to take our orders. My wife ordered the short rib, garlic fries, and the Sip It Slowly cocktail; I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Dumplings (suggested by the server), and the Jerk Old Fashioned. While we awaited our orders, the server brought us a delicious miniature size soup - which was absolutely delicious and definitely a tease! Shortly after, our drinks arrived. I found my drink to be delicious, strong, and was intrigued by the flavor that the little piece of submerged jerky provided. However, I will admit that I was a bit jealous when I snuck a couple sips of my wife's delicious cocktail. Up until the arrival of our meals, I was impressed. My wife found the short ribs to be just ok; additionally, her fries were lukewarm upon arrival and dry (as if they were overcooked). I have had Jamaican jerk chicken in Jamaica, so my expectations were very high. Unfortunately, the chicken was not flavorful and did not have the "kick (spice)" that I anticipated. Surprisingly, the highlight here was the dumplings (delicious!) and the Hint of Passion cocktail that I ordered (if I had a signature drink- this would be it!). I really should have listened to my intuition when we initially observed that a majority of the other patrons were just indulging in drinks, no food. When our server brought us the bill totaling roughly $160, I couldn't help but feel like the food was not in alignment with the price point. I wanted so badly to like this establishment, but honestly could not see myself returning for anything other than one of their cocktails.

While perusing the local businesses, we discovered Lincoln Avenue Brewery tucked in a small alley. A bartender by the name of Liza warmly greeted us as we took a seat at the bar. Since we were not terribly hungry at the moment, we ordered the Pork Belly from the appetizer menu. While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. If you're looking for exceptional customer service, a healthy variety of brews, and delicious food - I recommend visiting Lincoln Avenue Brewery!

Nice space friendly staff, good fresh beer and inside and outside (covered) seating. Your order at the bar and they bring the food to you. This is hands down my…read morefavorite place in Calistoga, and I tell everyone who visits Napa Valley that this is a must-see destination. Don't just stop by for a meal--plan to spend a few hours exploring because every historic train car has its own unique experience. The amount of creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is incredible. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, and you can tell every decoration and element was placed with intention. I notice something new every time I visit. I honestly can't pick a favorite train car. Casa Obsidiana serves authentic Oaxacan cuisine in one of the most beautifully designed spaces. The Parlor Car is elegant and perfect for champagne, caviar, and fresh oysters. If you're visiting with kids (or just have a sweet tooth), Earth & Sky Chocolates is a must--everything is absolutely delicious. Then there's the First Millionaires' Saloon, which is one of the coolest bars you'll ever walk into. The décor alone is worth the visit, and the distillery adds another unique experience to explore. Every train car has its own personality, making the entire property feel like an adventure rather than just a place to eat. The food is fantastic across the board. My son is obsessed with the wood-fired pizzas, and we've never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks, dessert, or simply wandering through the train cars, there's something for everyone. What truly makes this place even more special is the people. Every single employee we've encountered has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and kind. Michael always goes out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home, and Pedro is just as friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, and that hospitality is a huge reason we keep coming back. To make it even better, they have live music every weekend, creating such a fun atmosphere that you'll want to stay for hours. I've visited many places throughout Napa Valley, and nothing compares to the Calistoga Depot. It's historic, beautiful, unique, family-friendly, romantic, and unlike anywhere else. Whether you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted cocktails, authentic Oaxacan cuisine, incredible desserts, live music, or simply a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll find it here. This isn't just one of my favorite restaurants--it's one of my favorite places, period. If you're in Calistoga, don't even question it. Put the Calistoga Depot at the top of your list. I promise you'll leave already planning your next visit.

Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

We came for breakfast and chose to sit outside, which I highly recommend. The views are beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect way to start the day. There's also a lovely photo spot outside where you can capture the scenery before or after your meal. If you appreciate interior design, be sure to step inside as well. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with a modern wine country feel that's elegant without feeling stuffy. Food-wise, everything was delicious. My favorite was the Breakfast Burrito--packed with flavor and one of the best I've had in Napa. I also ordered the Healthy Green Juice, and it was fresh, refreshing, and exactly what I look for in a green juice. If you're trying to decide what to order, I highly recommend the Wine Country Breakfast. At $42, it's actually an incredible value considering everything that's included: two cage-free eggs cooked your way, breakfast potatoes or fresh fruit, your choice of breakfast protein, toast, fresh-squeezed juice, and drip coffee or tea. It's a complete breakfast that leaves you satisfied without feeling overdone. I chose the breakfast pork sausage, and if you're a meat lover, you'll really enjoy it. If you prefer something a little lighter or more traditional, I'd recommend the chicken sausage instead. The service was warm, attentive, and never rushed. Combined with the stunning views, beautiful surroundings, and delicious food, this was an easy 5-star experience. Between the quality of the breakfast, the incredible setting, and the overall value, we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Napa. Highly recommend!
