When you walk through the door of this little deli, you are greeted like you are home. Everyone is…read moreso friendly and that is refreshing in a big metropolis like Phoenix. We saw all the desserts right when we walked in and let me tell you, sooooo good. We settled for deli sandwiches and some salads. All very good. I plan to try everything on the menu so this will one of many reviews. The value was quite reasonable and we had leftovers, so two meals from one sandwich! So much meat on it that you fill up fast. The best part about being in the deli is the atmosphere. There is a full grocery store of Italian foods, people eating at the dining area and ordering going on at the deli counter. It is a fun place to be. Highly recommend!

I stepped into this joint and transported back in time - Sunday after church, five years old again with my grandparents, standing at the counter of Giannella's in Paterson, NJ. With the exception of the cashier dude, the staff was...uh..."mezza morto," and definitely in need of some Italian or Italian-American inspiration. A little life. A little rhythm. A smile perhaps. I ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich, add wet mozzarella, hot soppressata, roasted red peppers, oil, and balsamic.. The cutlets were too thick and the mozzarella, although fresh, was strangely tasteless. Apparently this sandwich was infused with gold, crypto, or something because it rang in at $24 with the add-ons. My person had the eggplant parm, which unfortunately was over-seasoned with only a slight trace of mozzarella. The marinara on the side was undefinable. We hit the bakery on the way out. The sfogliatella and cannoli were great, and so were the ladies behind the counter, warm, lively, and actually happy to be there. Look, I'm goin' back to Romanelli's. I'll even pay another $24 for a sandwich. There's a reason this place has been there for decades, and they deserve another shot.

The first thing you notice when you walk up to this restaurant is that it is a food truck, that…read moredeserves to be a restaurant. And then you are going to spend a good long time at the sandwich board menu because there are options like none other. The Lost Menu, where there are so many unique items, you are going to be standing there a lil' lost and not knowing what to do, and the regular-ish menu. I stayed mostly there but smoked beef taco? Yes, please. I ordered that and also a carne asada and a birria. I felt a big piggish, but I had to. Then again, I'm glad I did because while they were packed ingredients, they were on the small side. What other restaurant gives you the option of flour, corn or homemade corn tortillas? Did I have any other choice but to order the latter? Unfortunately, one fell apart, it was so stuffed with goodness, but I won't hold that against them. The meats were all unique and delicious. I was the most confused by the smoked beef. It reminded me of some meat I had in Italy that was black but not charred and melted when I bit into it. I don't need to experience that again, but I could eat the other traditionally tender and flavorful versions daily. The three-taco combo comes two sides. I almost ordered fries but when I shifted to beans and rice, out of fairness to tradition, I got a nod of approval. But, I have a feeling I would have gotten one no matter what I did, because of patience and kindness of these Lost Burro folks. The rice was middling but those beans - didn't taste as though they'd ever seen the inside of a can. Thick, rich and flavorful. I ordered a side of consume, just because it was bone broth, and I hadn't seen that before. It was tasty, but I realized more prefer a red broth with big chunks of stewed beef. I will judge you unkindly if you give me a Jamaica that is just one step up from Koolaid. Nah, these folks had me wash it all down with icy cold tea goodness, with a star anise waiting for me at the bottom of my cup. I wish I did not live an hour away. It's not fair.

Staff is friendly and they are pretty quick in making them The Jamaica was not good it tasted old and it had a weird after taste but the burrito and the bowl were delicious/ they grub hub and door dash and it seems that people use that instead of eating there. They do have seating area on the side. Overall good food the drinks were not but will definitely be back for the food.
