If you're looking for an indoor tennis membership, Wheaton Sport Center (WSC) is an excellent…read morechoice. They have friendly staff, efficient service, and adequate facilities and equipment. For our family, WSC serves multiple purposes. My husband is an active tennis player who tries to play at least twice a week. Considering how brutally cold Chicago winters are, it wouldn't be feasible to play outdoors during the winter months. So with WSC, he has been able to find a community of players to play throughout the winter. On the weekends, my husband would give our young girls and cousins private tennis lessons. There are four, all year-round, indoor courts, and eight dome courts for the winter. We have been consistently going every weekend for the last four months and have yet to encounter any availability issues. In addition to tennis, our girls have also joined the swimming lessons. For level 3, there are usually 2-4 instructors. Thus far, we have had a good experience with Ms. Abby, Mr. Christopher, and Ms. Christina. The class size is generally around 8-12 kids depending on attendance. Knowing how young children are, it takes a ton of effort and patience to get them to listen to instructions. Huge kudos to these instructors for having that high-level patience! As for myself, I would utilize the gym equipment such as treadmills, ab machines, and weights. All of the equipment are well maintained and clean. WSC could get busy on the weekends but I have not had trouble with machine availability. All in all, WSC is a solid place for anybody looking for a place to play indoor tennis, have young children who are interested in swimming, and/or just trying to maintain healthy life choices.

She's competed and made new friends through their open plays and events. Whenever I visit, we spend about 60% of our time here. Everyone I've met has been pleasant, and it's like being surrounded by family and friends. Usually, when we play for hours, we go up to the restaurant area and grab some wings and some brew. We've even jumped on the mic during Karaoke night, which happens on Fridays. The only thing I wish they could change is the time the restaurant closes - they typically have open plays at night that end at 10pm, which is the same time the restaurant closes and that's when a lot of us have been craving those wings! Regardless, this is definitely one of my favorite things to do in Rockford.

Talk about a beautiful remodel!…read more Hadn't ever been here before but knew at one point it was kind of a run down indoor soccer place. Now it's transformed into a world class indoor pickleball club (and more). They have probably 15 or so pickleball courts, a pro shop, locker rooms, cornhole, darts, pool tables, a ping pong table, a restaurant with great food (we collectively got the tacos and a few burgers and they were all great!), a tap wall with 30ish beer and wine options, a few mix drink options, and even some events throughout the week like karaoke. Staff are friendly and are super patient even if you're a first timer like me. I never played pickleball in my life before stepping foot in this place and I left absolutely loving it. It's like a cross between tennis and ping pong and judging by the wide variety of ages, this is literally a sport for anyone. We came with our 86 year old grandpa had he had a great time! They also offer memberships if you plan on coming more than once. All in all an awesome addition to the Rockford area. Can't wait to come back again soon!
