We found a diamond in a small town. First time here, we were greeted and sat right away. The waitress was amazing!! She recommend some great food off the menu. So we had to try " the hot mess" ( cheese curds in a sweet heat sauce). We were also served salad with homemade dressing ( we had to get a bottle to go! )Then we had the smoked meatloaf wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes. I had peanut crusted pork tenderloin with seasonal veggies and sweet potatoes mashed. All was outstanding! They have different specials from the menu items. And we could not leave with out trying ( taking home) some of the cheese cakes, wow they all looked amazing!! You definitely have to check this place out.

Tried this restaurant on a Saturday night. The friendly hostess got us a table even thought they were packed and we had no reservation. The pork belly appetizer was wonderful. I had the prime rib with Brussels sprouts. Prime rib was perfectly cooked and the Brussels sprouts were delicious. My husband had the brisket which was so tender and melted in the mouth. The couple that was with us had shrimp with homemade chips and fish and chips. Both were delicious. Our server was great as well. We will definitely be back!

What a difference twenty years makes! I ate in this establishment about 20 years ago when it was called Chanticleer. Back then it was liver and onions, fried catfish, canned green beans, and bought dinner rolls. Now it is remodeled, clean, inviting, and modern. The menu is upscale but casual steakhouse fare. Here is how it went for us on a busy Friday night.... We had reservations and were sat immediately in the main dining room. Our server greeted us quickly and got us water, drinks, and a plate of fresh artisan buns. We were going to order salads before our entrées, but our server said that the entree's come with salads included. We were not expecting that kind of value. When the salads came out, the server tossed them tableside which was a classy touch. I ordered a ribeye mid rare and it came just that. It was a pretty good cut, too. It had a big rib cap. I did not care for the jus/broth it was in. It tasted of soy sauce or miso. Just salt and pepper is my go to steak seasoning. A couple of my guests had the salmon and said it tasted very good and the portions were large. One of them was on the well done side of perfect. My other guest had the chicken and liked it very much. Our favorite side was the Brussel sprouts. With a little bacon, they would be perfect. The coup de gras was desert. We requested berries and cream as a Keto desert. The Manager or Chef came to our table and suggested that the Crème brûlée would be a good Keto desert. It is debatable whether it is was Keto or not, but it sure tasted good at the end of the meal. It was also great that the owner/ manager / chef cared about our table enough to come and visit with us. Nice atmosphere, great service, modern upscale food. We loved our experience at the Pickled Radish and we will definitely come back!!!

Corn rib appetizer

I have dined here multiple times ordering different entrees each time. All of them have great presentation and taste wonderful Service has been great too! We had the semi private room last night with a group of 14. I have also dined at the bar when I haven't had a reservation.

Prime Quarter Steakhouse - Mushrooms and onions for the steak

Tonight was our anniversary and for many years, we've celebrated at Prime Quarter. As I sat there, crying while looking at pictures, Jessie and what was wrong and listened. I told her about my husband, my anniversary and that I will never get to spend another one at their steakhouse with him She constantly checked on me, always asking if I was ok and did I need anything. When I went to pay my my dinner, she said that it was paid for and brought me a piece of cheesecake to bring home. Then she hugged me, told me that everything will work out and that she would pray for me and my husband. This simple act of kindness brought even more tears. The food is always amazing and the service is impeccable, but tonight, Jessie went above and beyond to comfort me. Thank God for people like Jessie, who in a simple act of kindness, can help a person when they are in despair. Thank you Jessie. Sincerely Vickie Petty Someone you didn't know but brought light into my life.

What was once "classy, upscale dining" is now dingy and littered with under-trained staff. They…read more"preserved" the 80's decor for so long, but in the last 10 years have really let things go the point it concerns me about the restaurant's hygiene. Your servers wear all black. However, most are wearing a regular black tshirt, black jeans or leggings, and black tennis shoes (the ones I noticed weren't even nonslip, the employee just doesn't respect their job.) They don't appear to have a hygiene/grooming code to follow and lack manners in sense of volume while gossiping with tables or cooking at the grill. They're not properly or consistently trained on how to handle bottles of wine being served to the table with ice buckets. They lack a lot of etiquette when it comes to pre-bussing and keeping drinks full. Overall, I don't think any etiquette or class is even expected of the employees. Multiple occasions we have requested different silverware because the ones we were given were not clean. What happened to polishing glasses and silverware? The salad bar, once legendary now a borderline health violation. The staff doesn't pay attention to the salad bar at all until someone complains about it needing refilled or cleaned. Toppings spilled into other toppings that staff just leaves. Toppings spilled into the ice and on the counter that staff leaves until closing time. The lettuce ALWAYS looks like it's the bottom of the bag and is the poorest quality they can find. Macaroni salad and potato salad have both severely gone down hill and lack flavor, maybe they're not going through it as fast now so that's why it always seems old? I'm also still trying to figure out why they removed chopped boiled eggs for whole boiled eggs on a salad bar? I'd like to think labor costs is not the reason considering the price point of the food and alcohol The menu says New York Strip, but they don't ever actually keep them in stock so you have to order a Kansas City. The baked potato and texas toast are so plain and simple there's no messing that up. I don't remember seeing their staff in the front grilling steaks in the past, but the past few years the "grill your own" experience has been completely trashed by their 19 year old "chefs" entirely taking over the grill to cook 10 steaks at a time and horse around with their coworkers. Someone there has attempted to start doing a "cocktail menu" but they don't give you a cocktail menu at the table and their poorly trained staff has NO CLUE what the drinks are so you have to refer back to the handwritten white board at the front door, like the nightly specials at a diner. The "intimacy" that once existed is now completely gone. Staff is in a huge rush to close and go home, so at 6pm they've already closed half the restaurant and have everyone sitting on top of each other on the other side. They want to charge the same high end prices but they act like a ran-down diner.

It had been years since I had dined here. The decor is probably as old as me. It used to be standard that you grilled your own meat or paid an extra charge for the restaurant to grill it. Now the menu says the grilling is done by the restaurant. However, you can ask to grill your own meat. Most of the dinner options are steaks. There is a Swordfish and salmon choice as well as pork chop and chicken entree. I had a ribeye steak medium well. It honestly was the best flavored steak I had in a very long time. It did have a lot of fat. The salad bar had your iceberg romaine mix (lots of spines which I don't care for). I would like more of a spring mix salad greens. Some pasta salad, potato salad and coleslaw were also on the bar. The croutons were delicious and possibly homemade. Several choice for your potato selection: baked, fries, steak fries, sweet potato fries or steamed broccoli. I would like to see a baked sweet potato as an option in the future. Our server was very attentive to the entire group. We were allowed to bring in our own dessert for after dinner. We supplied our own plates and forks. I am unsure if there was a fee for bringing our own dessert or "plating". They did refrigerate it for us during the meal. I do wish there were more bathroom options. 2 stalls on the main floor and the line can get pretty long not to mention the bathroom corridor is narrow. I asked if there were other restrooms and was told no.

A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. We ordered chicken alfredo, raviolis with meat sauce and the walleye. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. The walleye was two nice size pieces that were thicker and more like mass produced cod filets. I'm more of a fan of the thinner filets that curl up when they're fried but the flavor and batter were perfect. The star of the entrees was the ravioli with meat sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. We'll definitely be back!

First, it was surprising that there was no problem getting a reservation on Saturday night at 7 pm. And the place was half-empty. I was excited to get the prime rib, which is available on Fridays and Saturdays (I ordered a medium-rare king portion), and my friend ordered a medium-rare ribeye. When the steaks finally came out, his ribeye was medium-plus. The prime rib(?) was below-average-sized, heavily seared on both sides, and cooked fully well-done (not even medium-well). That's not how prime rib works, and it's certainly not medium-rare. This is a steakhouse! If they get anything right, it should be beef. The FOH staff was wonderful and accommodating. Very apologetic, and although they were now out of prime rib, they arranged for me to get another steak, which was cooked medium-rare. The horseradish cream sauce and au jus were lacking in flavor, but the meat was aggressively seasoned. The complimentary pretzel rolls and butter were good. My friend's mushrooms were outstanding. The au gratin potatoes were delightful. The broccoli was plain and uninspired. The carrot cake was tasty - not the best I've had, but huge and with good flavor. Perhaps we hit them on an off night, their chef was sick, whatever. But you expect more out of a high-priced steakhouse. I still want some prime rib.
