We absolutely love this dental office and couldn't recommend Dr. Yount and his team more!

I needed a new dentist after my dental insurance changed, and Ben Yount had good reviews, so I…read moredecided to give him a try. On the surface, everything seemed promising. His staff is excellent. The dental assistant was experienced and made me feel comfortable during imaging, and the front desk, especially Leda, was competent and thorough, making scheduling and billing questions effortless. I had two appointments: a cleaning and evaluation, followed by a crown procedure. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Yount himself was extremely disappointing, and it's why I cannot recommend him. The first visit already felt off. During my cleaning and evaluation, he spent a surprising amount of time talking about his obsession with watches and how he notices people's watches. This wasn't a conversation with me, it was a conversation over me with his assistant. For a first encounter, it came across as unprofessional and dismissive. When he did engage with me, he asked about my dental care routine and immediately pushed fluoride products, which I don't agree with. My main reason for being there was straightforward: I had a cracked tooth that needed a crown. It wasn't painful; it was just something that needed to be handled properly. I returned for the crown procedure, and that's where things went downhill. During the work, there was constant clanking of metal tools against my teeth. Instruments were dropped, and my teeth were repeatedly bumped as tools went in and out of my mouth. It was uncomfortable and concerning. In all my years of dental care, I've never experienced anything like it. After the procedure, Dr. Yount appeared visibly frustrated with how long it took. Some complications were never explained. When he finished, he abruptly pushed himself back, threw his hands up, and let out a grunt. It felt overly dramatic and unprofessional, especially given the outcome. The crown he placed is so tight that I can't get dental floss through it. When I brought this up, he told me to force the floss through and pull it out rather than flossing normally. While some soreness in the treated area is expected, I'm now experiencing discomfort and tightness in other areas of my teeth as well. I chose this office based on positive reviews and because I needed care quickly. Unfortunately, I now have to find another dentist to correct these issues. While this visit didn't involve upselling as many dentists do, he is a strong advocate of fluoride. Ultimately, the experience showed me this is not the right dentist for me. First impressions matter, and this one was hard to overlook.

My family of three children had seen Hermansen for many years. We no longer go to this dentist. I…read morebegan to check my insurance with the bills I received, and I found errors on the part of this office. I was getting overcharged by a significant amount of over 400$. This happened twice before I left and I wonder how many times it happened in previous years. Hermansen noticed a little sore in my mouth but never told me what he saw. He made an alarm to me of great concern, had me go in another room and lay down and I was left in this room for a long-extended period of time not knowing what was going on. Then he released me without looking at the sore again. It was uncomfortable and grossly disrespectful. Hermansen had made a crown for me and upon coming in to have this fitted the crown was too small for the tooth. He used GREAT force to push it on the tooth, and I heard a pop and knew this did not sound good. I left the office and this tooth has never been right ever since. The crown cut up in the gum line towards the back of the tooth introducing a spot for decay which I could not access in cleaning. I spoke with Hermansen about the tooth and he said to go have surgery on it. I was surprised at the trite behavior and to think I would need to do something like this & spend the money and agony of a surgical procedure. This tooth is now loose and wiggles slightly. I will keep it clean to the best of my ability and keep the tooth as long as I can.

However, if you need a professional oral surgeon who knows exactly what he is doing and does it perfectly and seemingly effortlessly, does not leave you bruised or in pain, then Dr. William Bohannan is your man. I had a bridge break off out of my mouth. It broke one anchor tooth normally, but the other - at the gumline basically and I asked him to remove both teeth. The first one wasn't so difficult, it came right out. The second one had nothing to grip onto, so he had to go in there with a drill and break the tooth up and then pull out the pieces. He explained doing this at the consultation visit hence, I was extremely nervous about going in. But it was finished so quickly I was floored... amazed... grateful. I hope I am never in need of oral surgery again, but if it happens, Dr. William Bohannan will be my first choice, and I will recommend him highly to anyone needing an oral surgeon. The staff members are all genuinely nice. They send you home with very thorough instructions, and a dozen or so gauze pads to keep over the tooth removal area. I have limited dental insurance, and their price was unbelievably reasonable.
