I've going to Dr Choi's office, possibly last 10-15 years. Fantastic office, very friendly and professional They are very respectful of your time and appt are on time, once in a blue moon 5 min off. The text reminders are great, helps you and them, if rescheduling is needed. They are accommodating, I wanted to come in earlier than future 6 month appt, they ca They use both electric and manual scaling when cleaning, Dr Choi offers options for your dental care but not pushy. Highly recommend, their office. read more

So I hate going to the dentist. My fear of the dentist has gotten much worse as I've aged. It's to the point where I must take valium whenever I go. Dr. Choi gets it. He's unflappable even when I jump out of the chair. Super kind and thorough. Talks you through all the steps and listens to me (a stressed out patient). Gentle Jenny did a great job with my cleaning. They have another dentist who comes in to help with cleanings and she is super gentle and fabulous too. But Dr. Choi is always a pleasure. Sue (the front office manager) is super nice as well. I highly recommend this office. read more

Dr. Choi is the most friendly dentist in the world! His staff does a good job in not only cleaning my teeth but instructing me on how to take better care of my teeth and point out where I need to brush and floss better. His prices for cleaning, fillings, and crowns are very reasonable with no unnecessary upcharges or upsells. The office is clean and inviting without that sterile, dentist office feeling. The only wish I had is that he had a mini-camera on to show me on the TV screen that I'm looking at what he was doing in my mouth. That would be just over-the-top! read more

You will be in the best hands with Dr. Choi. Very professional, up to date equipment and very knowledgeable. Will explain everything he does before hand and show you your films. Due to radiation I have a lot of dental issues and really need a meticulous dentist. Dr. Choi is my match. read more

Dr. Choi and his staff are the best. I have had some very good dentists in my 65 years, but I am constantly amazed at how thorough, gentle, friendly and professional Dr. Choi and his hygienists are. On one occasion I even fell asleep for a moment in the chair while Dr. Choi was working on a filling. That tells you how relaxed and confident I am with their care. I highly recommend Dr. Robert Choi and his staff for your dental care. read more

I couldn't have had a better experience! I was taken back and seen promptly, and the staff and Dr. Choi were friendly and efficient. Dr. Choi took close-up pictures of my teeth so I could see exactly how they looked and he explained what he was doing. read more

I haven't even seen the doctor yet. But I am already liking the experience. The teeth cleaning was gentle and thorough; it doesn't feel like some random person just trying to get the job done. The lighting, the patient arrangement, equipments are all meticulous. I hate visiting dentist... until this one. Let's see how Dr. Choi is, but I am already feeling positive. read more

I became a patient earlier in 2018. I have visited Dr. Choi's office for multiple cleanings and to fix a couple cavities. I have a great experience every time I come in. I've been going to Dr. Choi for over 3 years now. After having a bad experience with a dentist in MTV who told me that I needed gum surgery for cleaning, I decided to ask my original dentist who to go to in Northern California. He referred me to Dr. Choi after knowing him for many years. Dr. Choi let me know that I did not need gum surgery, and did a deep cleaning to fix everything. He's also helped me with my continual cleanings and invisalign as well - superior service. He doesn't drop the ball and is honest with my teeth. On a Sunday I noticed a hole from my old fillings (and freaked out cause I thought it could fracture). Of course I freak out, text Dr. Choi, and he meets me in the office an hour later. Quickly rent a car in SF and drive down. It's hard to find a dentist you can trust, which is why I commute to San Mateo to see him every two months (invisalign treatments and cleanings) even though I live in San Francisco (without a car). Highly recommended. read more

The BEST dental office. Extremely friendly staff. Very clean. Dr. Choi is very thorough.

I don't usually write reviews but thought I would write one for Dr. Robert Choi and staff. I usually don't like going to the dentist, however the experience and customer service at Dr. Choi's office was excellent so I thought he deserved a review. He and his staff were very friendly, walked me through each step of my cleaning and exam, were very thorough, engaging and professional throughout my entire appointment. The advice and techniques to talk daily routine and preventative practices went above and beyond what any other dentist or hygienist staff I have been to previously has shown me. Most of all I liked how the staff seemed to genuinely care and everyone had a very friendly and nice attitude. All "smiles" the whole way. Thanks for a wonderful first visit and great job to you and your staff Dr. Choi. As a bonus I got a welcome gift and the end of my appointment which was totally unexpected and showed they went that extra mile to make me feel welcome. read more

The office is nice and Dr. Choi is nice, however be aware of their billing. They overcharge for procedures (i.e. cleanings) that I've never had to at my old dentist. Better to go elsewhere. read more

I've always been afraid to go to the dentist, but after my session with Dr Choi, I look forward to my next visit to his office. Dr Choi is very professional and experienced. His technique is modern and his equipment up to date. I have a crowned tooth and before I even knew it the process was already over. During my session he made sure I never felt any pain and I was so calm and relaxed. His assistant Melissa was wonderful and efficient. The dental assistant who cleaned my teeth was excellent, she was gentle and thorough. All the staff in the office was professional and friendly. Dr.Choi is amazing! He is very warm, empathetic, and very positive. I typically have a fear of dentists but I walked out with a huge smile! I look forward to my next few visits (never thought I would say this about a dentist). Melissa his assistant was great as well, she made sure I was comfortable and okay while taking my xrays. Vanessa at the front desk was great, I really like that they provided me up front what my expected out of pocket costs. Thank you so much for a great first visit! read more

Always have a great, smooth experience here. The staff and Dr Choi are very friendly and caring. Every visit is like visiting a friend. Appointments are always on time. The office is very clean and run smoothly and efficiently. I like that they continue to follow Covid protocol by having you complete a quick questionnaire on any covid symptoms, everyone wears a mask and your temperature taken prior to seen by the dentist. Definitely recommend. read more

I wanted a different dentist and am so glad I found Dr. Choi. Sue at the front desk was very helpful answering my over the phone questions. I have a rare autoimmune disease; unheard of by many doctors. Dr. Choi and Mary, the hygienist, know about it and how to handle the mouth should flare-ups occur. I am very comfortable with this team. They are caring, professional, knowledgeable, and just plain nice! read more

I travel all the way from Fremont to see Dr Choi and his amazing staff. 1) The front desk is always on top of making sure I understand what's going on from appointments to billings 2) the hygienist staff are extremely passionate about their jobs and are always helpful without being hurtful on how patients can improve dental habits 3) Dr Choi is the best dentist I've ever seen. Granted I've only had 3 other dentists in my lifetime, Choi takes time to see how his patients are doing. He also uses a technique to distract patients during shot administration that I wish every dentist used. I seriously cannot recommend Choi & his staff enough. My wife has been a patient for 3+ years and I've been a patient for almost 2. Even when our insurance wasn't fully covered, we felt it was worth it to keep visiting Choi and he helped us make it work. Thank you Dr Choi, and everyone working hard in his office! read more

The support staff here were very friendly. They got the job (teeth cleaning and xrays) done quick. Dr.Choi was funny and he extremely knowledgable. I love going to the dentist now. The way they set appointments is really convenient and they actually message you if another time opens up before your previously set appointment! The sign up process was super quick. At the end they gave me a new patient gift (a portable charger!!) And the typical dentist goodies bag yay free things! Overall, the best part was how fast my cleaning went, how supportive the staff were, their kuereg coffee machine, and how they didnt make me feel overly bad about myself for not flossing enough!!! read more

I'm pretty new to the area and needed a pretty urgent procedure done and this was the 1st office I called. They got me in the same day, and the staff could not possibly be better. Dr Choi is an excellent dentist, and the 2 times I've been every person there I have interacted with has been extremely helpful and nice. Its so rare that you find an office this professional and great at what they do, especially on your 1st try. I cant recommend this office enough. You will not be disappointed at all. Never posted this, whoops! Update - Having been there multiple times for dental work, I can say that this is hands down the best dentists office I have been to period. The staff, Dr. Choi, everything about this office is exactly what you would want. Seriously could not rate this office high enough. read more

This man is by far the best dentist I have ever had! He is so patient and clear. All the office staff are wonderful examples of truly professional, yet truly gracious and friendly service. Dr. Choi's cosmetic work on my four front teeth transformed my smile into a knockout eye catcher. (My Match.com profile got more visits than I know how to answer:/) I am so happy! I have been a patient of Dr. Choi's for almost 20 years and I keep coming back even though I neither live or work near his office any longer. From the front desk team to the delta hygienists to Dr. Choi the service I have received has been outstanding. Dr. Choi is kind, thoughtful, skillful and super focused on getting the patient to understand what he is doing and why. He is also forceful when he wants a patient to comply with his recommendation. Lastly the new office is immaculate and spacious. Dr. Choi and team have made the visit to the dentist relatively pain free and easy. read more

We were happy to find out our 11 year old boy had no cavities and it's because of the constant reminders of a great dentist to brush well and floss. A lot of his friends have cavities and fillings so he was very proud that he doesn't and enjoys brushing now and flossing because of his pride. Thanks Dr. Choi and the whole office staff who makes everything so great and personal. It's like family. I've been going to Dr. Choi since 2011 - I've moved around the Bay Area but I continue going to him for dental even if it ends up being out of the way. Dr. Choi is great - he's empathetic and sincere - and does great work. Never had any issues with my dental procedures and also will not recommend unnecessary work (something I've seen with other dentists in the past). Everyone in the office is so kind and friendly. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Choi for over 5 years. My husband is a stickler for dental appointments and goes every year. I, on the other hand, am not a fan of dentists. I've had some really bad experiences. Dr. Choi is a very attentive and caring dentist. He listens and is alert to your needs. His calm and friendly demeanor puts me at ease every time. I like the fact that you can read, watch a movie or listen to music while having your treatments done. The staff at Dr. Choi's office are fantastic. From the front office to the back office and everyone in between are delightful. To have such a positive experience at a dental office is refreshing! read more

I have been recently seeing Dr. Choi. I absolutely HATE going to dentist because I didn't have a good experience when I was younger. I always dragged to go see a dentist. Matter of fact, I have not seen the dentist for the longest time. Dr. Choi's team is very friendly. I really liked his dental hygienist. I believe her name is Amy. I did tell her some of my teeth are sensitive to cold and she was very gentle and really listened to what I said. Suggested some product to help with dental sensitivity. Few weeks later I had another appt w/ Dr. Choi to get my cavity filled. Dr. Choi explained every step he was doing, very gentle and just made things very easy for me. After seeing him, I am no longer dragging to go see a dentist! Absolutely wonderful team. read more

Dr. Robert Choi's practice is one of the best dental places I've been to! The whole building is full of nice, caring people who will do their best to help those in need. Before coming to this office I had not been to a dentist in over two years because of issues with my previous dentist no longer accepting my dental insurance. Needless to say I was a bit embarrassed having not taken great care of my teeth for so long, but Dr. Choi and his staff were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. My first visit was absolutely free and included an oral exam with Dr. Choi patiently explaining the state of my teeth and what work would need to be done. I came back for two subsequent visits to get my old metal fillings replaced and my teeth cleaned. The process was very smooth and I was extremely happy with the results; my fillings are now the same color as my teeth and it doesn't even look like I have any! Dr. Choi and his staff (everyone from the receptionist to the dental assistants) are really great and I can't recommend them enough! read more
