These guys are INCREDIBLE! We hired them for a large long distance move (1200sq ft of furniture, tvs, boxes) from PA to FL and could not be happier. Frank was very responsive throughout the bid process, and was able to answer all of our questions, setting expectations regarding timing and estimated cost along the way. Fast forward to the day before the move: I get the text with time for pickup, and then Tarun + Oleg are there on time the next day, we go over the paperwork + items, and I leave them to it. After the load in, began the long drive down - during the time, I felt I was very well informed of expected arrival date(range). Day before arrival, I receive a text to make us aware of expected arrival time, and the guys were there on time the very next day. Load out went incredibly smooth and everything was received in perfect condition. We could not be happier and highly recommend Tarun, Oleg, and Frank for your move. read more

After spending almost 7,000. I was missing my son's crib, glass items were broken, my kitchenware was missing, and also coffee table wasn't brought. Although I appreciate them for holding our items in storage, I don't appreciate the terrible customer service and delivery. I paid my balance in full and the moving guy was threatening that I I don't give them an extra $300, he wasn't going to bring my things. The owner, Shawn I believe has me blocked and never responded to my email where I explained the damage. I had never moved from one state to another and I had to do it by myself. This company assured me they would help every step of the way but it was a lie. Prior to choosing them the phone calls were very persistent and once I agreed, almost all communication stopped. Not only did they lose some pieces of my furniture, but there was furniture that was damaged and a lot of screws were missing. And at the drop off location, there were supposed to be two men moving all my items in and there was only one who took from 10:30am - 5pm to do the move in. Long story short, the company damaged my vehicle, my brand new floors, and called me a liar (After initially ignoring me) when I contacted them about the issue (Footage on camera). They are denying everything and did not have any process or documentation on how to handle claims. They left the trash. 1 of the 2 guys working was helpful and the other one was constantly arguing and carelessly moving the items. Insurance companies will support handling the situation as I am still trying to find resolution. I would not recommend this headache of a company. Now that the investigation by my financial institution is finalized, I can leave a review. I'll start by saying, everything every single reviewer has listed is exactly what I experienced. I sent out a request for quotes on Thumbtack and this company was the first to respond. The reviews on that site were decent, and the quote was lower than most. I REALLY wish I had come on Yelp or looked at the BBB site first. I had another moving company give me a quote and they actually came out to my house, and calculated just how much moving truck space my things would take up. Pick Up Movers did the complete opposite. The rep I got was Frank and just like previous reviewers have said, he's definitely got the used car salesman, talk over you, fast talk personality down pact. He gave me a low quote based on what I told him I had in my house and the distance (MD to GA), and gave me a date of pick-up, a day where the movers would rest due to DOT regs, and the day they would deliver. Fast forward to the day quoted for pick-up, radio silence. I had booked a plane ticket to fly to GA and meet the movers, so I'm getting pretty antsy when 4pm rolls around and no one has shown up or called. I called three times to Frank who finally returns the call irritated, and says that the movers are actually coming the NEXT day since they are still on another job and running late. I'm irritated that I had to seek this info out on my own, but since I'm actually all packed up (and running right next to the end day of my lease), I have no option but to reschedule my flight. Fast forward to the next day, deja vu. I call Frank, who is audibly irritated that I've contacted him again and says that he never gave me a solid day for pickup, rather a WINDOW. I said man are you serious? You're just going to show up at some time THIS WEEK?!? How in the world can someone plan around this. I mentioned that I needed to plan a flight based on when they showed up and he actually says "well who books a flight before movers show up! that's on you man" and disconnects. I'm furious at this point, and google these folks and find similar horror stories. I called up the original company that actually came out in person, and fortunately they still had my quote on file. They said they would come out the very next day for no extra charge, and did exactly that first thing in the morning. Wrapped the furniture, packed paintings, all for no extra charge. While they were loading the truck, I sent an email to Frank that he/his company's services were no longer required and that I'd be contacting my bank regarding the deposit. He calls almost immediately (multiple times) to say that the moving truck "is around the corner" and I can't cancel. In a period of 5 minutes he calls over a dozen times leaving threatening messages that they are going to come to the house and move my items regardless of whether I cancel or not (all documentation for my bank). By that point me and my things are halfway to GA so do as you like. I will say that my outside security cameras remained active through the next week...at NO point did these folks show up. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! The person who setup the moves, Frank is a liar and will tell you anything to get your business. The way he speaks to women is disgusting!!! He will over promise and under-deliver. Everything I discussed with him for the move he did not include but gave me a price under the pretense that everything would be included but once the movers got to the pickup location and reviewed the list, some of my items were missed. I had to over pack my car and drive long distance to avoid him over charging me $300-500 additional. Once he gets your business he does not give AF how he treats you because he has your things. I dont recommend AT ALL this company. First, they provide you with an "Estimate", even though all items were disclosed. At the pick up day, they increase extensively your price, since the movers claim the volume has exceeded. The movers are NOT careful with the items. Several damages caused. The movers barely protect the items. Supposedly, you must give a two day window for the move. Absolutely the WORST, I repeat the WORST movers in the history of moving services. How can I give them 0 starts because these guys do not deserve even half a star let alone one whole star. I have never spent so much time writing a review but I am going to this time because I hope these guys never get any business ever again, they were literally SO BAD ! Pardon any spelling mistakes because I am so angry !! I had to go with these movers who I found online because I could not find anyone else in the time frame I needed. If you were to ever believe a stranger, believe me this time and go with some other moving company and save yourself the money and a ton of headache and frustration. Here are some of the many many FLAWS:- 1) WORST packing. Did not label boxes even after reminding them 5 times. Packed completely haphazardly. 2) Non English speaking workers. Could not communicate with them to do some work in a specific way. 3) Completely distracted workers, were on the phone or other distractions. 4) Gave me a low quote initially and then charged me $2500 more than the initial quote. Even with bare minimum stuff they kept increasing the charges. 5) Lost all the screws or packed them in a box which is unlabeled. I am unable to find anything because I cannot find the right box. Everything they packed is unlabelled. 6) Took more than 2.5 weeks to deliver stuff. The unload crew seemed like they were undocumented workers because no one could speak a word of English besides one person. Unload was done as haphazardly as possible. 7) Unloading guy tried embezzle me for another $500 saying his truck was too big and cannot fit in the area of unload. So he will have to use a shuttle to deliver my stuff. When I declined he made me wait for hours saying he is discussing with the company. Finally he agreed that company will pay for the shuttle. Later I found that the "shuttle" had three other people's boxes, which he was lying from the start. Oh did I say it was WORST MOVING SERVICE ever ! Because it was !! If reliability, timeliness, communication and customer service are important to you as a consumer...DO NOT USE PICK UP MOVERS LLC. Our only point of contact was a guy named Frank who is apparently a "manager." He was very helpful and readily accessible before gaining our business, but once he had it the customer service was virtually non-existent. Frank would not pick up phone calls and only responded via text if he responded at all. Initially, Frank gave us a window for when the movers would arrive between Friday, November 15th and Saturday, November 16th. However, according to Frank, they would most likely arrive Friday morning. We made plans accordingly and took the time off work and the movers never showed up on Friday. We touched base with Frank on Saturday and he claimed they would arrive by 1:00 PM. The movers finally showed up at our home at 7:30 PM. They had driven all the way from Miami to Atlanta. It then took the two movers approximately 6 hours to move our furniture and boxes. We did not leave until well after 1:00 AM. My husband reached out to Frank and never received a response or apology. Fast forward to the movers delivering our furniture and possessions. Frank gave us a delivery date of Monday, December 16th. My husband reached out to Frank on the Friday prior asking for confirmation and time of the delivery. Frank said he would get back to us shortly. We never heard from him. My husband reached out again on Sunday asking for a specific time of delivery and Frank's response via text was "Yes, I believe so." My husband then asked for the final amount we owed upon delivery and if it was only payable by cash to which Frank responded, "Yes." No details, no answers to the questions we were actually asking. The movers never gave us any formal documentation for payment or details as to where our stuff was being stored. This whole experience, we have been left in the dark with no responses. I finally called Frank myself on Monday, December 16th. He did not answer the phone, but responded via text saying he would call me back in an hour once he got to the office. I then called the number listed on google for Pick Up Movers, LLC. That number must also go to Frank's cell phone because while on hold with the number I received a text from Frank saying, "I said I would call you when I get to the office." Please see attached screenshots of the following text messages between Frank and me. His lack of professionalism, irrational outbursts and refusal to pick up the telephone to call back his customer is unreal. I've never dealt with such an unprofessional "sales manager." Neither my husband nor I ever heard from Frank again even though we asked countless times for him or some type of management to contact us. We did not end up receiving our things until Monday, December 30th...14 days after Frank told us they would be delivered. Again, the movers arrived late in the day and were unpacking our things in the dark. I will say that the actual movers did a good job on both ends. It is a shame that Frank leaves such a bad impression to his customers and the movers then have to deal with it. Please do your research before using this company. The negative reviews are very accurate to our experience and the little bit of money you may save is NOT WORTH IT. Absolute worst moving company. Here's our story: May 20th, After discussion with Frank, salesman, we got an emailed quote for $6495 for our packing, loading and moving for entire household. We paid a deposit of $650. We spoke to Frank several times prior to the move and he said we did not need to pack anything, that the movers would take care of packing everything. Prior to the move we packed the basement storage, most of large garage, small garage, small fragile items, personal items and office Day 1, June 23rd Movers arrived in a 26ft truck with 2 workers. Movers spoke almost no English, very difficult to understand. We talked to Frank and he said we'd need 2 trucks and it would cost more. Movers left the first day around 5pm. Movers provided paperwork that said our move would be ~$14,000. We could not reach Frank or anyone at pickup movers to discuss the situation. Day 2, June 24th We still had over 1/3 left to be packed and loaded. We began packing to make sure all was loaded on this day as we had to be out of the house that day. Movers took two partial truck loads finishing after midnight. Movers had new paperwork that showed new cost ~$19,000, $3450 for packing. We did 75% of the packing! Movers demanded we pay nearly $9,000 that night. We refused to sign the paperwork estimate but paid them $2500 as we did 75% of the packing. Day 3 June 25th First truck arrived and driver demanded we pay $6480.25 or they would not unload the first truck. We paid to get the first truck unloaded. Again we refused to sign estimate paperwork. Workers did not set up furniture they disassembled Day 10 July 1st Second truck arrived with the rest of our belongings. Driver demanded $8980 or he would not unload. We offered $5600 which ~$3380 less that the ~$19K they were demanding. Since we did most the packing we thought this was fair. Movers were told to leave with our goods if we didn't pay the entire amount. We eventually paid to get our items but promised legal action. read more

We had a very BAD experience with the company and our representative Frank!. I would not recommend this to anyone at all. No proper communication was done when the packers will arrive, since our move dates were over weekend all the contact line were closed, had to call Frank a 100 times/texts to get a response from him about the move schedule. Our actual move stuff was less than the estimated cubic feet and as we were told "Pay what you actually move", we have been trying to get in touch with them for refund but no one is responding to our emails/calls. By far the WORST moving company we have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We used Pick Up Movers for a long distance move from MD to GA in September 2019 and even paid for their full value insurance. For well over $8000 we got two guys and a truck. They 'packed', and I use the term loosely, our entire house in a single day by not wrapping *anything*. No paper wrap, no bubble wrap, NOTHING. All our artwork and frames just tossed into one big box without even a sheet of paper between them. They packed almost everything in those tall garment boxes. Electronics? Tossed in with no protection along with full length mirrors! Our flat screen TV was damaged beyond repair. In April I booked a move with a written contract to move out of my apartment on Friday, May 14th 2021. On May 13th (Thursday) I e-mailed asking when the movers planned to arrive, they did not respond. The morning of the move (Friday), I called Frank to ask when they would arrive. Frank told me they would be there on Monday, May 17th. Obviously that is a problem. After a bizarre exchange in which Frank tried to convince me that I had been the one to request this change, he then e-mailed me an updated contract with a new move date that was 3 days in the future. You can judge a company better when you see how they "decide" to handle when things don't go as planned. I spoke with Frank, the manager. I told him specifically that I am moving into a condo building with very strict policies... I needed to give the condo a time as to when these movers will be there. I messaged him "multiple times" to confirm the time; I was given a window of arrival between 11-1pm. These movers arrived 2 1/2 hours past the promised arrival window; at 3:30pm. They finished at 6:30pm. Due to this delay, I was unable to move into my new place that day. The movers drove off with all my belongings. They stated that they will "try" to get me moved in the next afternoon. I demanded that they move me in first thing in the morning since their delay caused all of this. They said no. Frank was difficult to get a hold of. I told him I had to miss a second day of work due to the movers being late. I also spent extra money on purchasing an aerobed and personal stuff for my first night at my new home since the movers drove off with literally "all" my belongings. Frank's response was pretty much 'oh well! Tough!" He actually texted me, "This wasn't ordering a pizza! Been in business probably longer than what you've been alive." That is verbatim. Frank, as a manager, and "supposedly" doing this for years, has very little business etiquette and showed lack of time-management skills. I have never in my life been spoken to in this manner by a "manager"; Frank does not know how to deal with customers when things go wrong. For this reason, I will never recommend his business to anyone. In fact, I will be reporting him to the Better Business Bureau. Makes a ton of promises but leaves you high and dry! Pickup Movers at first came in like a white knight saving the day. Offered me a solid price, and locked it in saying they would give us a dedicated truck. Their insurance coverage is horrible ( .60 cents per pound) and I had raised a concern about it. What hapless if my furniture or my flat screen was broken. Frank, the contact from Pickup that had given me the quote told me that I could use my insurance if something happens and that they have a better insurance ebut it's much more expensive and is through an outside agency. I had concerns regarding the safety of my belongings. Frank assured me that if something happened that they would work with me to resolve it and if say my TV was broken they would rather replace my TV than have any issues. When setting up the delivery I was told they would need up to 7 days. The delivery didn't come until 10 days after date to deliver causing me to have to sleep on an air mattress for a long time and I am a disabled Marine Corps Veteran with a spinal injury! To make matters worse they messaged me at the end of a day on a Friday that they we're coming that night or Saturday morning...knowing that I wouldn't have time to get the post office money order that they required. This left me in a precarious position. When the furniture was delivered they dropped my TV box and when It was opened the box hadn't been packed properly and my LED screen was completely destroyed. Instead of working with me as they had said they gave me the run around, avoided my calls, and offered me $30 for a $3000 television. I DO not recommend this company to anyone and honestly think they are nothing but scam artists. For all my fellow Veterans...dont go here they don't seem to care that you may be a disabled veteran and definitely don't care about working things out for the customer sake. This is probably the most textbook example of a corrupt moving company I have ever seen. Frank sweet talks you with a lower end moving quote. Then he sends over movers who are either truly unfamiliar at all with your quote, or lying. (probably both). Then once they have secured the last of your belongings in the truck the fun starts. They will absolutely renegotiate the price and the terms of the quote given. If you're like me, they'll even change the move date to a day later to extort more money from you just to receive your money back. And then finally once they're satisfied they have leveraged as much money as they can, they will take their sweet time delivering your belongings. We have moved three times in the last several years, moving the same stuff each time.  We've used Pick Up Movers twice for moves. The first move was done very well which prompted us to choose them a second time.We recently had the second move and it was poor and very disappointing.Each move was for a two bedroom apartment. The estimated cubic feet for both moves was in the vicinity of 650 cubic feet.The following is a list of issues with the second move: 1.  The movers arrived one day late for pick up. The reason given was that the previous move had more cubic feet than the customers indicated. No consideration was given to the fact that multiple adjustments had to be made on our end to accommodate this change. This is important to note, as you proceed through the following information. 2. When the movers finally arrived, they demanded cash for the first half of the move, even though a check is an option, per the contract. They said they made a call to Frank, for check approval and he gave the approval. 3. Then they began saying that our move was more cubic feet than listed on their paperwork. Keep in mind, the move was the same move Pick Up Movers had done 1 1/2 years ago. 4. Throughout the time it took to load the truck they continued to harp on the cubic feet being more. Once the truck was loaded, they indicated the cubic feet amounted to 1130. Over 400 cubic feet more than the previous move and the estimate. They then indicated that they would be willing to change the amount of cubic feet if we paid them cash. To us that proved that they were trying to take advantage of us. We chose not to pay cash for their fabrication of cubic feet and called Frank the following Monday. We spoke to Frank a few times and then began leaving him messages, but never received return calls. We were hoping to have this resolved prior to delivery of our move, which was now going to cost approximately $3000 more. 5. Regarding the delivery--they texted on a Monday to say they would be arriving on Tuesday evening. They texted at 11:30 pm on Tuesday evening to say they wouldn't arrive until Wednesday morning. 6.  They had the nerve to ask for a gratuity on both ends of the move!!! 7. Upon unpacking boxes we found that a lot of kitchen items were just thrown into boxes- silverware and other items not wrapped and heaving items sitting on top of fragile items. In multiple boxes, knives were sticking straight up and we could have been sliced had we not been paying attention. A couple plates items were broken, which is to be expected in any move but as we continued to unpack boxes and saw things thrown in you could tell no care was given to packing my boxes. I think it's also important to mention, that my daughter and I were both present at the first move, while only my daughter was present for the second move. It makes me wonder, if a male was present at this second move, would the movers have still tried to take advantage of the customer. read more

Had a terrible experience here: the person who booked the move was in Ca., not Florida. He arranged for pick-up but could not guarantee a time or date: my move out day was non-negotiable so this wiggling around was very stressful. Turned out ok: however movers barely spoke English and made a sloppy list of items moved: left things out and listed boxes without any identifying characteristics, making it impossible to verify on delivery. Delivery was as sketchy as pick up. A whole new set of movers appeared who had both lost items of mine and delivered boxes that weren't mine. I have moved many times in my life: this was a disaster-and expensive. A dispatcher called after I complained and said he would try to track down my missing items and reimburse me if he couldn't find them. But now he's vanished without a trace. read more

A wonderful experience - and I highly recommend them! Pick up movers were excellent from start to finish, and I couldn't be happier. 3 movers came - they were thorough, professional, kind, careful, and efficient. First they arrived and came to look at everything and scope the work. Then they got started quickly. They were definitely experienced - they knew exactly how to wrap everything, how to take apart and reassemble our beds, what to take first and what to take last. They took great care of all of our items, not a scratch anywhere. They were communicative always checking in when bringing our items to the new apartment, and making sure everything was placed correctly. They even stayed an extra 20 minutes finishing up past the time they charged for. The movers truly worked hard, and did an amazing job. It is hard to find a moving company that you can trust, and this is my second time using Pick Up Movers, and I've also recommended them to my parents for their last move, who also had a wonderful experience. SCAM ARTISTS. I cannot express to you how AWFUL this company is. They quoted us around $4k for the move and after loading the truck, doubled the amount to over $8k. I went through room by room and detailed all of the items in our home during the phone quote. The salesman, Frank, rushed me through the process, and now I understand why. He didn't plan to give me a real quote, this companies business is low-ball estimates followed by extortion. I called to discuss the situation with Frank who turned out to be the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. I had to ask not to interact with him via phone anymore as he was so hateful. He was screaming and yelling and name calling. Truly unbelievable. I was told we would have our items in about a week. They held our items hostage for over 3 weeks before finally delivering items of which many were damaged and destroyed. At one point, they told us our items would arrive in two days only to find out they confused our truck with someone else's. I had no idea where our stuff was or when it was coming. When you can actually get ahold of someone within the company (rare), they are rude and will not tell you any details about the location of your items or when they will be delivered. We paid an additional amount to have our house packed for us. Words cannot describe how awful this pack job was. I felt like we were on a hidden camera show. Items from all different rooms were tossed into boxes. Toilet paper in with baby clothes and pictures frames and outdoor items and dishes. Chaos. Nothing was wrapped properly, which explains why we had dozens of items broken. They charge by square footage, not weight, so it is beneficial for them to put a couple small items in a large box. I opened appliance sized boxes with 2 shoe racks inside. They used packing tape on items such as wicker baskets, entertainment units (pressed board), shelves, and my sons air hockey table so that when you peeled off the tape it destroyed the item. They carried in large pictures that were completely crushed, mirrors and picture frames rattling with broken glass...insanity. They didn't even LABEL the boxes. Packing 101. So when the movers finally arrived, we had to individually open every box to figure out which room to take them to. Even then, it was useless since nothing was organized. They smashed a hole in our wall carrying our mattress up the stairs. All of our boxes and the interior items...and I mean ALL...were covered in mouse or rat droppings. My floor was COVERED in droppings by the time everything was brought inside. I submitted photos for all broken items and the company never responded and never reimbursed a cent. This is a scam. They will quote low, double the price, and hold your items hostage. This company should not be in business. Please do not engage them. read more

Moving!!!! After getting no less than 12 estimates for my move from Lighthouse Point to Pompano, I believed there was no positive story to be had. Then I received a call from Pierre. I had asked him for an on-sight estimated as my experience with over-the-phones estimates always ended in a disaster. We scheduled a time only to get a call back from him stating there was some issue that made it impossible for him to come out. He offered a "video estimate" in which I used my cell phone to go room to room showing him the contents of my home. What could go wrong????? As i pressed the send button, I was fully expecting to get some bogus quote and assumed I would have to find another mover. But within an hour Pierre responded with a quote saying that he could do the move well under the quotes I had received from the other companies. Moving day was this past Sunday. A day that started with near hurricane force storms. I awoke in a panic believing my luck had run out. But as the storm cleared I received a call from the dispatcher that the truck was on it's way. I was greeted by the head mover Alex and he introduced me to his three assistants. after a quick walk thru they began to moved in a "frenzied pace" meticulously wrapping all the furniture and whisking the boxes onto the truck. They were professional and worked like a well-old team. The loaded truck arrived at my new home and the unload went as smooth as silk. I was thrilled! I can not speak more highly of Pierre, Alex and the crew. Anyone looking to erase those horror stories of moving-day need to call this company. Kudos and many thanks........ read more

If possible please run away from them don't simply walk away!!!!! I was making a move from WI to NJ and I was promised a delivery within 3-5 days because of which I paid extra bucks going for them rather than going with my local movers who were charging 1/3rd of their rate. Initially they were very courteous but once the item is picked up slowly they became very difficult to reach. Their customer service number is never attended!!! I used to get fraudulent reasons for delay like thousands of trucks stranded for snow whereas searching in weather channels would never find such an incident across US. Frequent breakdowns like at least I have heard about 6-7 truck breakdown of the carring truck. Fortunately after 100s of calls/texts/emails and pleading I could get my stuff back after 18days!!! Few tables and night stands are completely broken!!! I expect honesty and integrity in communication. If you are telling 3-5 days it can be 6-7 days but 18 days!!!! If it was communicated truthfully I would have planned my move accordingly. Due to them my 3yr old kid had to visit urgent care owing to food poisoning eating hotel foods all time for so many days!!!! I would have given a negative rating if possible for their dis honest and misleading communication. Only thing good about them is the package of items which I liked. But I would like to warn again once the items are picked up they will be very difficult to reach and you will end up pleading every moment. If you don't want to be in same pain as I was, please start running away from these guys led by Pierre. Hope you find a better packers and movers who can deal with you more honestly. I made wrong estimate of size due to which I paid double the amount I was quoted by Pierre initially. One truck came and completed pickup. The story of 2 trucks is plain blatant LIE!!! I was never contacted on 18th Jan 2018 for delivery!!!! Seems that dishonesty is the normal way of business here!!!! Tigran the dispatcher from the team contacted me for delivery 1st time on 29th Jan 2018 (hv the email with me too). Those you are looking for good movement experience please look for someone who is honest in communications and business dealings not dishonest people,else you have to face my fate!!!!! read more

The worst experience I have ever had in my whole life. No words can describe this thing that I cannot even call a "company", it is just a mob of horrible people. The person that you will probably deal with is Pierre or the "manager" Laura. The unprofessionalism, disrespect and horrible service that we got from them and their drivers are indescribable. My husband and I hired them supposedly to move our furniture and it started from the minute we paid and signed the contract. We made arrangements with the company 6 months in advance (early January), and we were asked to give a pick up window; which ours was June 13-15. On June 15 -the day that they were supposed to show up- we were notified that the pick up was delayed to June 17 without any previous notice. My husband and I already resigned from our jobs and put the move out notice at our current place and made arrangements to move-in to our new place. The morning of June 17th, we waited all day for the driver who finally showed up at 11:30 p.m!!!!! and leaving on June 18th at 4:00 a.m!!! We were also told by the driver to put our availability date at the new destination within 3 to 10 days. Of course, we put down our availability as June 21st (the first day of their delivery cycle). When the 10th day was approaching, we tried to get in touch with that guy called Pierre and I cannot describe the horrible communication, response, carelessness. Funny that everyone that works for this company blame others (Dispatcher, driver, "manager" Laura). More than a month later (5 weeks to be precise), we delivered the furniture that was in horrible condition. Every single piece was damaged, scratched or broken; with no exaggeration, not a single piece was in an "ok" condition (The bed boards, bed side pieces, broken glass cups (A whole box). Moreover, two of my clothes boxes got very bad mold (The smell and fuzz were indescribable) I had to throw away the boxes (needless to talk about the value of items inside the boxes (jackets, winter boots, dresses, etc). The driver who delivered the stuff told me that "he is not willing to deal with this attitude when he saw me mad because "everyone is frustrated". My only answer was: You are more than a month late, brought the furniture in the worst condition a human being can ever imagine, and you are still asking me to be okay? Personal advice: Get your self a descent and respectful service and save yourself from all the extra expenses that you will end up paying anyway if you go with Pick up movers. read more

I hired Pick Up Movers to help with a small (a bed frame, mattress , a table, a chair, and 10 boxes) move from Indiana to Washington, DC. I was extremely anxious about my move but everything went smoothly! The delivery time estimate was 5-21 business days, but they were able to deliver my things within 2 DAYS! It was astonishingly quick. I spoke on the phone with two coordinators, Pierre and Frank, and they were communicative, helpful and pleasant. Pierre answered many questions that I had and was very nice to talk to. My movers were Max and Andrew, and they were fast, professional, and polite. They even helped move additional furniture within my new location, disassembled and reassembled my bed frame, and were very fast. Max was especially communicative, using text, Google Maps, and pictures to convey important information and locations. Max and Andrew picked my stuff up exactly when they said they would, and dropped it off exactly when they said they would, both with half a day or a full day's warning. In addition, the price was slightly below what I had expected and seemed reasonable. I had an outstanding experience with this company and fully recommend them. read more

I recently hired Pick Up Movers using Frank as the agent to move my 2 bedroom apt from New Orleans to Charlotte, NC. I originally received an estimate for $2900 for 82 items. When they arrived, I had two movers that worked for Frank that did not speak any English and could not communicate with me when I tried to tell them things. They packed up my items, and once the entire truck was packed they proceeded to tell me that it would actually cost me $4600, despite the fact that I had less items than on my estimate. Frank was disrespectful, argumentative, and deceitful. He would not budge or come to an agreement on the cost despite scamming me. Upon arrival to my new home, the movers were instructed to not open the truck or unload until they had the $4600 in cash in their hands. They even told me I could try to call the cops but that the cops would be on their side. Complete scam, and worst movers I have ever dealt with. If you do use this company, do not use Frank as your agent. read more

I used pick up movers for my move yesterday and everything went smoothly. I was hesitant due to the bad reviews and having a prior bad experience with other movers (ez moving-don't use them), but I went with Pick Up and they did a great job. All movers were quick and Anthony and Roman were courteous and moved quickly to get the job done. I would use them again. read more

I had the worse experience I have ever had. The company called requesting everything, and I stated to the man " FRANK", everything I needed done. 2 men were sent to my house, they said " my boxes were big and it was going to be extra, I said " huhhh", my boxes are regular boxes. They barely did anything, my quote was 1480, which I have a email of the quote, after they performed the job they tried to quote me $2500. I was extremely confused, no way I am going to be ripped off . They stated they did not know I was on the third floor, and my boxes were big. When the rude salesman frank called me I told him I was on the third floor, I would have never left that out, but he was so in a rush to get me booked , he took advantage and thought I was going to go for it . I was a young woman at home by myself and they tried to take advantage. I hate companies like this. They ended up taking my stuff off the truck and I had to call a company at 8pm at night to get my stuff. Please stay away from companies like this!! Dishonest, unprofessional and scammers. I was very happy with the two young gentleman who moved me from Virginia to Florida. They were polite, careful and professional. They both worked very hard and only took one break. It was quite amazing to watch. I had packed all my belongings already in boxes, except for things like wall pictures, mirrors and the TVs. They took care of those for me along with the few odds and ends that I didn't know how to pack. They wrapped up my furniture in blankets very well, it was quite amazing. I was pleased with service and the move experience. The estimate was below what other companies had provided and I found Frank very easy to work with. Thank you all! read more

This has been the most horrible moving experience of my life. So many things are wrong with the management of this company that I'm not sure I can list them all on this review. We'll start with the movers showing up a day a a half late. I had to call to find out that their truck broke down. They came during evening hours to do my move with a truck that was too small. We had to reschedule another day for the rest of the pick up. Management didn't care that I lost 2 days worth of work. It gets worse when my move is delivered. Somehow they let my boxes and furniture get wet. They ruined a dining chair this way since the tacks on the top rusted thru The linen. My wood, Indonesian desk was all scratched up ( I didn't notice they hadn't packed it because I had to visit Home Depot and get my own wardrobe boxes which they forgot).My sofa came in with a broken leg, countless of broken glassware, a wood and marble elephant was broken and roaches that came with the boxes! Upon delivery I argued with Laura in the office who would not let the guys start unloading until I paid the balance owed. Of course this is their policy since you'll receive everything you own damaged. Everything that was in my wardrobe was at the bottom of the box with the steel rod pushed in. Everything has to go to the cleaners. They were as expensive as other movers but in the long run will cost you a great deal more! I am still trying to go they may things that I've had to toss and working with the insurance company. If you value your belongings go with anyone else. The only reason I hired them is because, Frank a former employee of Flat Rate, who moved me out of state, told me Pick Up was better......not in a million years!
