She kept it safe in their locker in my presence. I went to get the receipt but couldn't make it same day. I went back 2 days later to tender the receipt for exchange or credit, I was told they have trashed my items, NO REFUNDS, NO EXCHANGE, NO CREDIT!!! THIS IS UNFAIR!! Pick-N-Pull is an interesting place to be when you have an old car, and you're looking for some parts inexpensively. It's basically a HUGE junkyard of cars received from abandoned lots, accidents and who knows how else they received their stuff. Cars from pretty much most years (usually 10 years or older) of all sorts can be found here, though admittedly as it is from accidents and the like, the types available do change from time to time. Basically, it's a place where you get your OWN parts, by tearing it off the husks of dead cars bit by bit yourself. You walk in with your own tools, ask the desk if certain types of cars are around, or explore the yard yourself, and then go banshee with the parts. In many ways, it kinda reminds me of that old show, Junkyard Wars, since you could theoretically build yourself one of those awesome killer machines just like the show with enough hard work. Once you've torn off the part, you pay the desk based on the type of part, but since you did all the hard work yourself and it's all off from dead cars, the prices can be unreal. I've had friends get full sets of slightly used winter tires for under $40, and really pricey parts that are brand new like alternators for less than $30. Of course, you really have to also know how to tear the parts off the car without breaking or destroying it, but overall, it's a great place to be if you're a hobbiest mechanic. Interesting note, they also remove some parts for easy sale. The selection is kinda haphazard as you never know what they have torn off themselves and made available for sale. Bought a 2003 Hyundia Accent here for my girlfriend as her car was hit while parked and got written off. Car seemed good with low milage 123,000, was told there would be no problems with the car at all as a inspection took place. My girlfriend drove the car home and I drove my truck back to lethbridge. The whole drive home the car was doing 4- 4.5k RPM going 100km/hr. Car doesn't have overdrive and transmission shifts horribly. Your average vehicle part is an assemblage of many parts,the bolts,wires,plugs,bulbs for lights,brackets.You will pay $ for every little piece that is part of the part you were lied to on the original price of the part. Yes,if you buy a caravan (trailer) you will not get the wheels. The old rusted parts your working to take off are likely made in Mexico or China,you will likely find a new part for cheaper.There are other stores besides Canadian tire,Prime Choice auto(on-line Canadian) is a lot cheaper,the parts are new,and they come with what they are supposed to have ie:bulbs for your lights.There is also no 12% tax on new parts like pick n pull. read more

It has been a number of years since visiting this yard, I frequented it a lot when it was pick your part. Let me give you 4 reasons not to visit this yard 1. They have not bothered to replace the carts as they have worn out so you have to carry your tools. There are a couple of wheel barrows left but chances are you won't get one because there aren't more than a few. If you are equipped to go after anything decent that day that means you will walk miles with 35 lbs of tools and have fun getting what you want to buy to the office. 2. The yard now starts about 100 yards away from the office. 3. The isles are so tight now it would be near impossible to get a cart through and get bigger parts off. 4. They screw you for every cent they can: This experience made certain I will never go back. When I got to the till there was a cashier and a guy calling the parts I put my S-10 grill, head lights and signals down. "Large truck grill!" Sorry, I said that is out of an S-10. "large truck grill"! "emblem!"... (of course... I didn't want to bust the grill trying to remove it while sitting in the mud) "2 head lights and 2 brackets" What brackets? I said. "Those!" Those are the headlight adjusters - you don't take them apart there. "2 brackets!".... and 2 signal lights which he figured out right. They used to encourage taking complete units (leaves less to clean up and throw away) but now anything you leave on the part... CA-CHING. So if you really want to be screwed out of every cent they can squeeze out of you, go to this yard and learn what deplorable service looks like. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying for something, but the arrogant attitude, no respect for the customer and by the end of this trip there was no value. If there is clarification needed on a price don't ignore the customer - explain it or God forbid listen. Anyone that thinks they are entitled to my money never gets it again and they shouldn't get yours. The difference to buy aftermarket parts is not as much as you think when you consider the trip, the hike with tools and the ridiculous difficulty to get stuff to the cashier. Pick and Pull is definitely getting worse. Their prices are getting significantly more over-inflated. Their websites claims to have vehicles in their yard that they in fact don't have. This has happened to me several times looking for a specific vehicle that is dated in the yard that day, and nothing. Just a lure is my guess. Staff isn't very knowledgeable. Wouldn't go back here unless very last resort. read more
