Under new management and the quality of the food, specifically the pizza, has gone down.

I always get my pizza from here. It's a lot better than pats. The sauce and cheese are tastier. The people are great, the prices are great.

I would have this appetizer again. Soft shelled crab special. Homemade bread The chef/owner Bobby prepared everything wonderfully. The food had great flavors. It is worth it to drive to Philly to eat here. We cannot get Greek food like this around our house. Colin was our waiter, and he was fairly new to this restaurant. I really liked his service. It is a small restaurant. We sat near the kitchen, and I loved our seats, because we could see the food coming out. Great food and service all around!

However, my dining companions and I received a similar "our focus is on turning over tables" vibe mentioned in some other reviews. Unfortunately, this service negative will usually impact the overall experience as a whole. Curtly advised upon entry of the 1.5 hour time limit, and then later-with 1/2 hour remaining we were asked "are you all done here"-when I was still trying to swallow the food that had just traveled from the plate to my mouth. At least give us some grace until we only have 15 minutes left. Nevertheless, on to the food- it was tasty, for the most part. Beef meatballs were a little too acidic, the grape leaves were salty and the beef skewers needed to be more tender. Everything else we ordered-which was the octopus starter (excellent-nice char, tender and flavorful) and the $65 sharing plate that included sausage, shredded pork, seasoned rice, grilled beef and chicken skewers and a mezze platter was good. The highlights on the mezze platter were the pillowy, herby, buttery pita and the hummus. The main platter, tho, came out within minutes of the mezze, so we ended up starting in on the main before fully enjoying the mezze. I wanted to try the pizzas, which looked delicious, but the table has to all go in for the sharing plate option.

Finally after a half hour the pizza was "ready". The crust was burnt and yet the middle of the pizza had a runny, almost soup-like consistency. If it was sliced at all, you couldn't tell and we had to tear off pieces of this gooey mess to eat it. We've had pizza here before with no problem, but this time they really dropped the ball.

Lorenzo's remains my favorite sobering up treat after a late night out, and I'm happy to have it closer to this side of the city! Yay! The slices are just the same you have grown to love from the original South Street location. They're a tad bit more expensive here ($7 with tax), but way less than in the stadium! The only thing I missed this morning were my crushed red pepper flakes I like atop my slices. I'm Not sure if they're missing because it's day 1, or will be in general? The stall is the first on your right hand side when you walk in the main entrance on Broad Street. They sell it simply like at the original, no toppings, no box. They do offer beverages such as Gatorade, water bottles and Blue Moon, which just opened up a new stall across the way! Sweet! It was such a nice opening day, and let me tell you, my kids never jumped out of bed so quick when I promised Lorenzo's for breakfast! The WIP crew was here with a live broadcast on game day! What could be better?! *Xfinity often has FREE parking and lots of cool events. Check their site and social media for everything including parking days! We've seen a bunch of really cool FREE concerts here over the years and they have family movie nights. This pizza will go so well with those! Mamas, a child can easily split one slice!
