We ordered from Picante for the first time for lunch, the food was delivered by Uber Eats. We ordered two things for lunch. A steak bowl and nachos with no meat, just refried beans. For these two items, no drinks we paid $67. We were shocked by the charge for 2 people to eat Mexican food. The food was average. We won't order from here again, because we can't afford it. When we attempted to review the receipt for accuracy , the app gave a message saying it would be available for 24 hours? It's unclear if the business or the app made an error or what the issue may be. Nonetheless the cost alone will keep us away.

Shared a Friday lunch after a while to catch up. Great dining fare; had a carne asada taco, rice and black beans. Dining buddy had a grilled chicken salad. Food was delicious and came out promptly. Had so much food, we had to box the remainder for another meal later. Nice to see alot of folks and groups indulging on the outdoor patio. It was a beautiful sunny day. Will be back soon to sample other entrees. Complimentary chips with a sampling of pico de gallo. Selected Picante as they have an offstreet parking lot @ the end of the block & non-metered parking on the local streets.

We had a good Mexican lunch and experienced great restaurant design. It creates a harmonious experience for both the palate and the senses. It honors Mexican culinary heritage while enhancing the meal. Not only did they satisfy my taco needs, but more-so, you can tell the care and consideration given to the restaurant redesign (been a fan since the 80's). Thank you, Picante!

I randomly stopped by this Mexican restaurant for a weekday lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how big and clean the space is--there's a beautiful, spacious indoor dining room and a nicely decorated outdoor patio with great vibes. You walk in and order at the counter, they hand you a buzzer, and the food comes out quickly, brought right to your table. The servers were very sweet and attentive, even for a quick lunch stop. The food itself was pretty good for the price. I especially enjoyed the shrimp cocktail--its presentation was a little different but still really good, and they're very generous with the shrimp. The drinks were also great, and I loved their agua fresca options, especially the cantaloupe. Overall, this place is pretty solid, and I'll likely be back again for another quick lunch.

The food is absolutely delicious! The appetizer I enjoy the most is Sikil Pa'k and chips it is basically, pumpkin seed dip. The entrée I would recommend is, the fish tacos. They are so flavorful with the mango salsa. The service is excellent. I have always encountered friendly employees. The ambiance I can't really speak about, I took my food to go. I went to the beach to enjoy a nice evening picnic & watch the sunset.

I haven't been here for probably 15 years. It's changed a lot. Used to be a small place with a patio, no parking. Now it's huge and sleek with two parking lots and a separate To Go building. Prices have increased of course too. I had the battered shrimp burrito, way too much beans and not enough mango-jicama salsa. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you, do not really any service. The restaurant was beautifully renovated, lots of outside patio space with twinkly lights. If I came again, I know how to modify the shrimp burrito more to my taste.

Been going to Pocatello for years. Recently the prices have gone way up and the portion sizes are down. While the carnitas burrito was tasty and the meat flavorful, it really only had about 4 bites of meat in the whole thing.

I have loved Picante for a long time, but quality has reduced, and my food was inedible. This taco is soggy and swimming in grease.

It's been while since my last visit and boy has it changed. In a good way, it has a clean, fresh look. Since today is a holiday, it was hard to decide on their brunch or regular menu items. So I went with a tried and comfortable choice, carnitas burrito and pineapple aqua Fresca. Order at the counter and food delivered to your table. My burrito came with chips and salsa. Without the salsa my meaty burrito was on the drier side. Pineapple aqua Fresca was refreshing. This visit was long overdue. I definitely like to try their brunch item on my next visit.

Great food and even better service. I love their tortilla chips so much that sometimes I'll just order a pound of fresh chips to go.

Food is great. Service terrific. Ambiance is fun. And if you order pick up, you can drive up to get it rather than finding a parking space.

On our first 20 mile drive to visit, they blocked us at the inside of the unlocked front door at 3:12pm. Street parking can be difficult but a short drive\walk distance about a block away is a $3 an hour parking garage. The place looks clean and not too busy. We sit and our waitress Yanira M was perfect. Very nice, patient and attentive. We three shared two carne asada dinners with rice and refried red beans, two coffees, a coke and three pupusas. $101.36 before tip. The menu was confusing to us. First, the use of the menu words "red refried beans" confused us as refried beans have never been red in our lifetimes and these were pretty standard brown pinto bean looking and tasting. Maybe less confusion if they were called refried red beans. Then, we thought dinners came with pupusas. No. They came with two each thick tortillas (same as half pupusas with no filling as I could tell.) I enjoyed these thick homemade tortillas. The steak was not bad but I wish it had been served with its sizzle in tact. Salsa and coleslaw came as condiments though they might have been introduced with different names by Yanira. The coleslaw was a nice touch-served in a small jar with serving tongs. The salsa was tasting a bit like the V8 vegetable juice that you had as a kid or teen if you are a boomer. This meal could have really used some homemade spice sauce to add some kick to it. The main negatives today were the high music level at the back where we sat. That, and a busser man dragging some screeching and protesting chairs across the floor - to set up for a large party I believe. Real ear busters. The best part of the meal was the piping hot pupusas and our coffee. I would go back for those.

I've always loved their fish tacos, which to me are better than any I've ever had in SoCal, including San Diego! Like their other permanent locations, here you will also find tacos with various fillings, lunch plates and other items. Walk on in and you'll find an airy clean open interior with high ceilings and plenty of seating and tables all around. Scan the laminated paper menu at the counter. The menu isn't big, but it's rather focused. No burritos here, just tacos, sandwiches (tortas) and big plates! Vegetarian/Vegan? There are several tofu-based offerings and a bigger salad too. Order up at the counter, grab a pager, find a seat, enjoy the Latin music over the speakers and before you know it, your order is presented before you. Trying to stay "healthy", I decided against my all-time favorite Baja fish tacos, and ordered the Pollo de Cholita plate. With this you get a big boneless chicken thigh marinated with herbs and mild spices with white rice, beans (black or pinto), a side salad of fresh mixed greens and three delicious fried plantains. The chicken thigh is flattened thin, but was totally moist and tender and most importantly flavorful and not overly marinated on the tongue. The rice with black beans and mixed greens in a light vinaigrette were the perfect neutral companion to the chicken, with the plantains providing a lightly fried sweet contrast and finish to the meal.. Suffice it to say, I loved this dish, and look forward to coming back!

Tacos can be fun, even tofu ones, and sanguches too, but I decided to go for what I surmised to be a healthy choice. It also turned out to be the priciest plate on the menu, the $14.65 Pollo de Cholita. I didn't regret my selection. It centered on a flattened boneless chicken thigh marinated in herbs & spices and grilled. It was surrounded by rice covered in pinto beans, a mixed green salad, and grilled plantains (Photo 7). Like my other experiences at other Cholita Linda, it was satisfying enough because the ingredients were fresh and the execution fine if you're looking for homestyle Mexican comfort food at a non-taqueria price point. I doubt that made much difference to their clientele, but in its place is another family-run business, this time Salvadoran. This one offers more generic plates at student-friendly prices for undiscriminating palates. That's at least my take in the couple of occasions I've tried it after going to the gym. The first time I tried it I couldn't see the menu until I got up to the order counter. Then I made the server wait since the menu was so comprehensive (Photo 5). I went basic and ordered the $16.99 Chicken Platter because the kabob version was five dollars more. It was decent enough though on the bland side with rice, fresh tomato salsa, and a small side salad of iceberg lettuce, sliced cucumber, and radish (Photo 9). The menu mentioned a house white sauce. I didn't see it, but I also didn't miss it either. I came back to try them again. I tried ordering the $14.99 Scrambled Eggs with Beef Chorizo but was told they were out of chorizo. This was looking to be a recurring theme because I was rebuffed the first time when I unsuccessfully ordered the beef gyro. Ironically this time they had the $16.99 Beef Gyro Platter.
