Bird was the kind soul serving me and my girlie tonight, and the food and atmosphere was fantastic! I said that about every item I ordered from the wine to dessert, so the price points were a tad steep but fair. I had been once before, perhaps on a weekend, when it was so busy and my date and I were stuck in a little corner with the servers bumping into us in and out of the kitchen often kind of taking away from the experience, but I'm glad I decided to give it another shot! and opted for an outdoor table HAHA read more

Absolutely loved everything about this local San Antonio Italian bistro. Service was phenomenal .We did come as opened since friends were meeting us from Spring Branch Texas and they had a 3 hour bike ride the next day. Breads could be purchased with dipping balsamic sauces which was some of the best foccacia and Italian bread have ever had. Salads were ginormous and 2 were shared among 3 of us. Loved the in-house made pasta that they are known for. The spinach ravioli stuffed with spinach was perfectly cooked with the right amount of flavor with sauce . A personal Margherita pizza reminded us of eating pizza in Amalfi coast last summer and definitely worth a taste. A friend from college who lives in San Antonio recommended this place and so glad we did . Note: parking can be limited but if come early definitely worth it in terms of service and quality of food. read more

My wife and I came here after returning from Fredericksburg Wineries for some Sunday afternoon food. Upon arrival we were sat promptly toward the back of the restaurant. Not sure why we passed up so many other tables in the front. It took a bit for us to be greeted by the waitress , however it gave us time to decide what we wanted . One she came over we placed our order for a salad with chicken and short rib pasta. After about 5 minutes the waitress came back to say they were out of both. We then ordered a plan B item. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food. I had the Lasagna and my wife the bolognese pasta. They were both served hot with red pepper flakes and was pretty tasty. We enjoyed the food but service was extremely lacking and it was not busy at all. Will stick to the location at the Quay. read more

The ambiance of this place is insane. The dark green for the chairs really fits the European italian vibe. The staff was kind and vigilant for drink refills and service altogether. The pizza I had was very flavorful and had a great texture as it was woodfired. Great place if you want freshly made pasta, pizzas, etc. read more

Came here for a birthday lunch. We were seated and waited on quickly. Our waitress was helpful answering menu questions. We each order a different entree and shared with each other. The food was very flavorful without a long wait to be served. The restaurant was very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed our meal. Not being familiar with the general area, it took some driving around the complex to find. I'm not sure if signs led to the restaurant or if I missed them while driving. read more

Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter. The place is all windows and a gorgeous view of the fountain outside. The pasta is house-made and delicious. I had the sweet potato crusted fish and it was Amazing-light and fresh and just yummy! My daughter had the chicken fettuccini - her fave. The service was excellent and, when they found out it was her bday, they gave her a gift card and birthday dessert! read more

Came here for their happy hour. Everything was delicious minus the fried chicken. We tasted the garlic Parmesan and the spicy honey, both were over fried so unpleasant to enjoy. I had to request the Caesar salad be switched since they only game me the butts of the romaine vs the front green half. The fries were delish, especially the sauce! The shrimp was a bit too lemony and the muscles were great if you enjoy a tomato based sauce. However everything else was still enjoyable (minus the chicken). And the waitress was friendly and very helpful and accommodating. The ambiance is nice there are TV's to watch games and etc. and enjoy the decor and music playing in the background. Overall I do recommend. And great photo opps right outside. read more

Girls night out happy hour: pam took amazing care of us; to include 8 of us deciding on drinks and food from the Piatti menu, happy hour menu and restaurant week menu choices. She checked on often and made sure every beverage and plate were perfect. Manager also stopped by a couple times and even grabbed empty plates. Drinks were perfectly crafted and creative. Try the piatti spritz for a fun and refreshing burst of flavor. The food was amazing! From great crusty bread with dipping oil to short ribs, to shrimp scampi, to pizza, to cesar salad (complete with anchovies), to zucchini noodles and more. Absolute perfection in each dish. French press coffee was beautifully presented. The bar was lovely, lots of natural light and very pleasant for lively conversation. Valet available, plenty of parking. read more

We've been to this location once couple years ago, also to the Quarry location as well. We celebrated my brothers 13th birthday dinner & everything was great It was a Saturday around 4pm so not crowded, I was able to get a reservation days before for a table of 10. Love the happy hour on the weekends! Food: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10 read more

The setting is nice in the LaCantera area. The food was just okay. I wasn't that impressed and felt I'd get the same taste at Olive Garden. The service was great and the waiters and waitresses were superb. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer which was on a huge piece of bread, mussels and ciopinno for dinner. We've had it better at other places and I have made better mussels and ciopinno. We've ended with the tiramisu which was a huge fail in my opinion. For the price of the food and the taste I won't be back. It was great to give it a try though. I've been all over Europe and have had actual Italian food and this isn't it. Take a tip from me: if it has any kind of Alfredo on the menu either pass or have 0 expectations as it's not real Italian. read more

I was on a girls trip @ the time share hotel within walking distance to this restaurant. We were hungry & decided to check this place out. I wasn't super hungry & didn't want to be eating something so heavy late @ night so I was able to get a side of tag pasta with Alfredo sauce. $10 for the pasta & I got charged $3.00 for the sauce. I was bummed to find out that they don't serve alcohol seltzers here so I went with Tito's & soda @ $12.00/drink. We had the zeppole which IMO weren't that great. Our waitress was Karin S. We dined on 05/19/2024 around 9:30pm. We got there close to closing time so we didn't spend much time here. We were seated on high top tables which weren't my favorite. I did find this place a little pricey. Atmosphere is nice. read more

Decided during vacation that I was in the mood for some Italian food this past Sunday night, not just any Italian food but authentic, homemade Italian. So I looked up the best pappardelle pasta in the area, and this place popped up. So, I made an online order. I ended up getting 2 items, Short Rib sugo and Spicy Pepperoni Flatbread. Everything tasted and looked homemade. The first bite I took of that Short Rib sugo, it melted in my mouth almost instantly. The pappardelle was a perfect al dente. Some of the pasta was stuck together because it was in a togo container, which is understandable. If I was able to eat there in person, the pasta would be that much better. The spicy Pepperoni Flatbread had that perfect amount of spice. It's not in the Pepperoni but in their marinara sauce. Both items were so good. The service was amazing all around, from the host to the manager, and it wasn't even busy. Next time I'm in San Antonio, I'll come eat there in person. I will definitely be back. read more

Great setting for dinner with friends. Service was impeccable. We enjoyed the meal immensely and will be back!

Had their meatballs for dinner, even though it's listed as an app. Very good and large enough for a meal! Comes with three huge meatballs, a yummy tomato sauce and cheese sprinkled on. Very good! read more

My first experience at Piatti was one worth remembering. The cozy and welcoming ambiance paired with delicious food and fantastic service thanks in part to my fantastic servers Sam and Jayson. I ended up ordering a Spicy Chicken Alfredo Lumache as well as a Caesar salad, and i was actually blown away by the flavors served up to me. The manager on duty Melanie greeted me and my party as we were seated and checked on us periodically to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall fantastic food, fantastic service, 10/10 will be visiting again. read more

There are so many great aspects of this experience, it's difficult to put them all into one review. I was immediately greeted with a smile upon entering the door and was quickly directed to my table. I was met with excellent service provided by a well organized staff. My glass was constantly full and the meal was delicious. I had the lasagna, but I can't wait to be back and see what else they have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality service and up-scale ambiance. read more

Looking for a delicious Italian restaurant that would shock my boyfriend for my birthday, and when we walked in the large clean elegant space was surprising. The servers all greeted us kindly and talked about menu options and were very attentive and friendly. When we ordered, I wanted to support the culinari restaurant week so I decided on a 3 course meal which included rigotoni pork saltimbucca andbyhe tiramisu. Un pictured my boyfriend got lasagna which only had one noodle layin on the bottom which was pretty depressing as well as a light layer on ricotta only. But the bread and olive oil was delicious. It's an appetizer for $4 and I HIGHLY recommend the dipping oil was my favorite part of the meal by far! read more

10 out of 10. Pretty, comfortable setting. Our waitress Halee was helpful and attentive. My wife and I had pasta which was delicious. The flourless chocolate torte we split was wonderful. Tonight was our third visit and again did not disappoint read more

Took my son here for his birthday dinner and was highly disappointed. The food was ok, not the best. The service is what really upset me. It was Sunday afternoon, we had reservations and the restaurant was not busy. Our waitress was MIA for most of our time. All the waitstaff was congregated over by the bar. We had to wave down another waiter to help get refills. My bill was pricey for 5 of us which would of been ok but not for what we received. Ever since the remodel this place seems to have gone down hill. I must say I had been here before the remodel and it used to be one of my favorite Italian spots. This is why I recommended it to my son who had never been. Never again. read more

Very hot inside the restaurant. They had a couple vans and an AC cooler going but not near where we were seated and they wouldn't move them around. Food and wine were good, but couldn't fully enjoy due to the hot temp in the restaurant. We brought up concern to waiter and he didn't help and no manager or anyone came around. read more

We came here on a Friday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations, but still had to wait a little longer than I would expect. It was very busy, so nothing to be upset about. We valeted at the main hotel valet which was not complimentary. There was complimentary valet right next to the restaurant which we did not know existed prior to arriving. There is also a small parking garage that I is free during the week, but not sure on the weekend. Our reservations said that it was my wife's birthday and they had a menu that said "Happy Birthday!" On it, but I think it was the normal menu. We started with the beef carpaccio which was a very generous portion for two people. My wife got the chicken puttanesca and I got the short rib. Both were great and more than enough to take home left overs. We ended with tiramisu which was also delicious. Our server was great and very attentive. She wished my wife a happy birthday multiple times. The restaurant is kind of small with a small outdoor area. The noise level was a little loud, but not too bad that we couldn't have a conversation. read more

GOOD! Service was good. Food was good, but on the expensive side. We started with meatballs and they were very dense, but the sauce was very good. Caesar salad was very good. We asked for no whole anchovies on the top. Lasagna was very flavorful and seasoned well. Eggplant parmigiana was crispy, but a little tough. For dessert we had the tiramisu and it was pretty good. Good wine. read more

Halle was the BEST!! From the bar to the food, you can't go wrong. Chicken Piccata rocked!

Had this place recommended to us on a girls trip. We walked in 30 mins prior to closing and staff was so kind. Every single person said hello and that someone would help us ASAP. The place is so cute and reminds me of an old library or study room for a detective. Food was pretty tasty and I enjoyed the proper portion size. I didn't feel like I over ate and didn't need a box. Our waitress was so understanding of allergies and customizations at the table. Pasta was very fresh. Definitely think about going if you're in the area. Came here with a party of 6, and it was fabulous! The lights were just dark enough to ~set the tone~ and the service and food was fantastic. We all split the charcuterie board and still had some left over! Love the smoked meats. The pasta sauce in the Pappardelle was phenomenal and equally good the next day as leftovers if I do say so myself. Portions are large, and for an upscale eatery, the price was fair! The ciabatta bread was fantastic. Unfortunately it went down hill from there. The salad (chopped) was drowning in oil/dressung. The egg plant was dry. No "sauce/gravy" on it. The marinara they brought had a very off taste. The eggplant itself was rubbery and chewy. For the price I recommend some where else. read more

WARNING! 3% Surcharge added to your bill...which is NOT the same thing as gratuity (tip) -_________- WARNING #2 Birthday desserts are NOT free..... -____________________- Food was great but prettyy pricey. I understand it's a more upscale restaurant but $19 (before tip) for a pasta dish?....idk There's lots of seating inside and they do have outdoor seating so that was nice. We got seated pretty quickly coming in with a reservation I recommend my dish ..the Rigatoni It was really delicious but like it said the price was too much for what it was. My friend got the alfredo one and she said it wasn't anything more unique and different than other places. We ordered the Margarita pizza to share and heads up, its VERY THIN and even the crust is VERY thin. also... isn't Margarita pizza suppose to come with ricotta cheese not the basic mozzarella cheese melted? so it was essentially just cheese pizza with cut up basil leaves spread out ... so again.. not worth the price. Our waiter, do not remember his name but.. he seemed to be annoyed from our questions about the menu. he also kept coming to our table to refill our water way too frequently .. but the water jug was at our table for us to refill ourselves...... I love the area and the vibe but I don't believe I'll be back... read more
