Deviled eggs with truffle cheese. Really delicious especially with the cheese!

This restaurant is beautifully nestled next to the Riverwalk and next to the museum. The ambiance is always so nice for outdoor seating, Our waitress was friendly, prompt and nice. Our foods came out quite quickly. The deviled eggs had a fluff of shredded cheese on top which was really delicious especially since it was truffle cheese it made the eggs have more depth. The Caesar salad came out with our entree since we chose not to add a side since we weren't terribly hungry but it made our plate look empty. The Caesar salad was plentiful and was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it! The crispy skin trout was delicious as always and as perfectly cooked. It has been over 5 years ago when we last came to enjoy the food and Id say they are still quite consistent. The location is always little tricky to find, just go towards the water and you'll be able to find it!

Went here last august to have a casual dinner. I loved the truffle oil on the deviled eggs. At the time it was really hot and the store's AC was not at all great. Food though, was good. Pasta was al dente and servings were big. The pizza was alright, light, thin and crispy. Our servers were friendly. Although service was a bit slow at first. It's quite hard to locate, its tucked behind a museum.

The patio really makes this place. It's a great setting and definitely the highlight of the experience. The deviled egg and burrata appetizers were both really good and easily the best part of the meal. The spaghetti and meatballs were just okay, and the service was about the same. Overall, it's a unique spot and worth checking out for the atmosphere, but the main dishes were pretty salty and didn't quite live up to the setting.

Food: we had the deviled eggs which weren't too impressive. Boiled eggs, Parmesan and fresh cracked pepper on top with a a smidge of aioli on top of each egg. The "risotto" was far from what an actual risotto actually is. It was seasoned rice with mushrooms and sour cream on top. If you happened to get a bite without the sour cream it was dry. Service: the service was great, the waiter was attentive and came by frequently. Very well mannered. Ambiance: we sat outside and the weather was nice, the balcony overlooked the river walk so it was quite peaceful. The table was elegant and just over all nice.

I like the warm family style atmosphere. This restaurant is located behind the SA Art Museum and overlooking the Riverwalk. Great atmosphere for an intimate dining experience. I was there with four other adults for dinner. Series's nice. However the food was hit and miss. My friend said his house salad had way too much vinegar and someone else found her pasta dish salty. I ordered Caprese as an appetizer and it was delicious. I also ordered the potato gnocchi. It was a little salty.

    Sooo many empty glasses.

Been coming to Tre for 20 years across multiple locations. Sadly, today is likely the last. Mother's Day staff was not up to par. Drinks left empty, ice tea with ice all bit melted, old fashioneds with white sugar just chilling in the bottom with mid cherries and no mottling. Food was mid at best. Cheesecake with a brûlée top sounds amazing. Not sure how they took a concept like that and made it so bland. To top it off, because the waitress was so slow I didn't order my coffee until right before the deserts came to avoid drinking cold coffee. All of the sweetener packets were soggy. The sugar packets were basically a gel. As I had no way to know what the liquid was, I opted for no coffee. To close things out, even though the deserts were 1/2 gone when the coffee came (I'll own that one), all 4 water glasses 1 tea glass and 2 wince glasses were all empty. The waitress dropped off the coffee and soggy packets without taking a single glass away. All in all, teribble service, mid food, for top prices. Very disappointing.

Tre Trattoria made our wedding private ceremony absolutely unforgettable. My husband and I have been big fans of Jason Dady and his team for years, but having them be part of our special day made it even more meaningful. Everything was fantastic--Gia, Sebastian, and Kat were so attentive, sweet, courteous, and gracious from start to finish. The food was outstanding, and the courses came out of the kitchen like an orchestrated symphony. After the event, the staff went above and beyond, helping us tear down and load up all of our decorations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

This place is a must visit. Such a cozy atmosphere, I would recommend sitting outside of the weather allows, the lights look so overly at night along the river walk. Make reservations ahead of time! Our server was very helpful & gas is recommendations. The food came out fast & was delicious. The pulled to order mozzarella was mouthwatering & the pastas were cooked to perfection!

The place is hidden within the SAMA and the outdoor area is great seating to people watch and eat as long as it's not too hot out. The service was excellent and friendly The mozzarella was delicious! So creamy Remember that here the pasta is served al dente! Pizza was crisp and creamy as well! The dessert was lemony and warm with great homemade cream on top!

Service was mediocre, which is a bummer. It was a full house that day and our server was rarely around for us to ask for a water refill or when we were waiting to get the check. Overall, our server was very friendly when he was there, provided recommendations. We got the white truffle cauliflower and panchetta artichoke gnocchi pasta. Both had very different flavor profiles! I would say the white truffle had a lot of richness to it from the truffle, so you may have a few bites and be tired of it or satisfied. On the other hand, the gnocchi pasta that was seared was very balanced in flavor- the panchetta adds this necessary savoriness to balance the acidity of the artichoke and nuttiness of the pine nuts! The artichoke is a much needed ingredient in this pasta dish! We could not finish the pasta as it was very filling and rich! But we got leftovers which I'm never mad about! Pasta is cooked al dente! Parked across SAMA and you do have to pay for parking. It stinks that there isn't an option to pay for 1-2 hrs of parking and they don't validate. Not sure if I would come again. It is a nice date night if you're there to go to the museum, grab food here, and then have a stroll by the river or grab drinks at the places next door like Hops and Hounds!

We went here for a celebration and it was perfect for the event. I've never had deviled eggs before and their cacio e pepe version was so refreshing alongside the bruschetta. I got the smoked Gouda white truffle radiatore and I really enjoyed how light the meal was. There was a lot of hazelnut in my dish. I will be coming back for sure.

Location. Location. Location. Part of the Museum Reach and built into the old Lone Star Brewing Company. Absolutely love the patio overlooking the Riverwalk. Nice breeze. People enjoying a Saturday afternoon downtown. Parking is across the street. You can enter through the museum into the courtyard, or you can go around the museum to the back. The service was spot on. The hostess was approachable and helpful with the drink menu. The waiter was timely and nice. I started with a Saintly Dog and the Deviled Eggs. The grapefruit and lime drink was refreshing, and the deviled eggs were creamy. The truffle oil was a bonus. I followed with gnocchi which had a unique twist with orange and dates. I would have liked the dates cut into smaller prices to match the walnuts. It was hard to get the date and the gnocchi in the same bite. All in all, a good Saturday late afternoon stop!

Tre Trattoria delivered on all fronts--cozy ambiance, great service, and rich, comforting flavors. I had the bolognese and the truffle pasta, and both were incredible. The bolognese was hearty and well-balanced, and the truffle pasta was creamy, fragrant, and indulgent without being too heavy. A great spot for a date night or when you're in the mood for quality Italian.

Tagliatelle Bolognese is a superb dish!

What vegan options would anyone recommend? Thanks so much

I don't remember there be any vegan options here. I was not eating vegan at the time but we did have a vegan in our group and I recall it being very limited.

We were warmly welcomed by our waiter, who seated us at a table with a lovely view of the river. We ordered the Funghi pizza to share between two people. The pizza was fresh, crispy, straight out of the oven, piping hot, and so delicious. I'd rate it an 8.5/10. The fresh mushrooms paired perfectly with the truffle, creating a rich and earthy flavor. The caramelized onions added just the right touch of sweetness, making the pizza perfectly balanced. This was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to revisit and try some of the other pizzas.

I ordered the Sweet Texas Heat pizza--white sauce, applewood smoked bacon, Calabrian pepper, fresh basil, hot honey. It sounds like a whole experience, right? Sweet, spicy, smoky... all the things. But it was not giving Texas... or heat. Biggest issue? Overcooked. And when thin crust is overcooked, it's a wrap. Dry, brittle, no life left in it. The pictures don't lie. Flavor-wise, I could tell there was potential in that combo, but I couldn't get past the dryness. Once that texture is off, the whole thing falls apart. And for $35? I was definitely left wanting. Now in all fairness--the side salad? Very, very good. Fresh, crisp, well done. But let's be honest... I wasn't paying $35 for a salad. I did see some great reviews, which is why I chose this spot, so don't let me be the final word. Try it for yourself. But me? I won't be back.

Pros: - Attractive space - Waiter was fine, he was friendly enough. - They had a few gluten free items, which was a main reason we went, but they do NOT have a dedicated menu, you have to ask. - The burrata cheese and veggie board was great. Definitely the best part of the meal, although the gluten free toast was extra brown and crispy. The veggies had great flavor, though. Cons: - Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food. - Gluten free pasta was quite overcooked. It was mostly mush by the time I got it. I love that they HAVE gluten free options, but come on, it would help if you cooked them properly. It was barely edible. - Sauce was bland and too sweet. - There was no attempt or offering to make the experience more accessible for my disabled son.
