    Arugula Artichoke salad

Ezio Bistro has excellent Italian food in a small 10-top restaurant located close to Huebner and Bitters. It's run by Ezio and his sons. Adriano took great care of us and was attentive to our needs. We arrived early for dinner, but by the time we left, the regulars had arrived. They have a nice wine selection by the bottle and the glass. They serve their bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For starters we had the Burrata al Tartufo and the Insalata di Rucola. The burrata was like a soft pillow of cheese. The salad had a lot of fresh arugula and marinated artichoke hearts. Both were very tasty and large. On to the main course. We had the lamb chops and the mushroom pappardelle. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked to medium rare. And there were a lot of them. Tender and juicy, flavored with rosemary and garlic. It was served with a side of freshly sauteed spinach. The pappardelle noodles were al dente and tossed in a wonderful cream sauce with bacon and mushrooms. I would recommend reservations if you are planning to go on a weekend night.

We love this great Italian restaurant in our neighborhood. They always have the freshest ingredients and change the menu monthly. Super reasonable wine prices also. The food is fantastic. Cooked right in front of you in an open kitchen. We simply love it.

Overall, we had a very nice meal here. Our server was very prompt and offered good suggestions. The portions of food were ample and plenty to share. They offered some very nice and diverse menu options. I did think they needed just a few "traditionally" Italian entrees, like eggplant Parm or chicken piccata. Otherwise, no complaints. I would return sooner than later.

This is the second time I've visited this quaint, 10 table delightful Italian restaurant. From the minute you walk in you know you're going to eat food that is scratch made to order because the kitchen is open and every seat in the restaurant can see the food being made. It's family owned and operated, from the chef, to the waiters, all familia! My husband isn't a big fan of garlic (but I still love him) he really appreciates coming here because he asks for his meal to made without it and they are more than happy to make it just like he likes. This is a MUST GO!

A surprisingly wonderful Italian bistro at Huebner and Biters. This was our second visit and we are big fans. The space is intimate with only 10 tables and the decor is modern with touches of Italy highlighted throughout. Wine prices are very reasonable with bottle La from the mid-$20's to $50. My had a sautéed snapper with roasted potatoes and I had cod with capers, olives and sautéed spinach. Both dishes were reasonably priced at $30 & $32 respectively. The star of the evening was the tiramisu which was possibly the best I have ever had. We spilt a salad, shared a bottle of wine and after the dessert the bill was $126. EZIO is now in our regular rotation

Ezio Bistro opened recently on the corner of Huebner and Bitters. We tried it out for the first time last night. There were 4 adults and a 1 year old in our party. We arrived around 5:30 and were the only people there for at a while. We ordered a bottle of Primativo and it was very good and affordable. We started with the Burrata. It was delicious and was large enough for us to share. The bread that came with the meal was nothing special. My daughter had the Gnocchi and loved it. She always orders gnocchi when it's on the menu so she has a lot to compare it to. My son in law chose the Linguine and thought it was great. He mentioned that he wants to try to duplicate it. My husband and I shared the Penne. It was plenty enough for both of us and very flavorful. I would order it again. All in all, the portions were generous and everything was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was very nice and upscale. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the service. Even though we were the only diners for quite a while, we had to wave the server over several times. Maybe he is new at serving tables? He seemed very hesitant throughout the evening. Also, the restaurant is not prepared for small children. There are no high chairs or booster seats. Fortunately we live close by so my husband was able to go home and get a booster seat. We all agreed that we will definitely go again. Hopefully enough people will find out about it even though it's a little hard to spot and I haven't seen it advertised. I am posting the menu and pictures of our food.

Pros: - Attractive space - Waiter was fine, he was friendly enough. - They had a few gluten free items, which was a main reason we went, but they do NOT have a dedicated menu, you have to ask. - The burrata cheese and veggie board was great. Definitely the best part of the meal, although the gluten free toast was extra brown and crispy. The veggies had great flavor, though. Cons: - Ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food. - Gluten free pasta was quite overcooked. It was mostly mush by the time I got it. I love that they HAVE gluten free options, but come on, it would help if you cooked them properly. It was barely edible. - Sauce was bland and too sweet. - There was no attempt or offering to make the experience more accessible for my disabled son. No plastic cups, etc. Would be nice if they had more inclusivity. All in all, almost $200 for lunch for a family of four. Definitely not worth the money.

Truly every person at the table seemed to love what they ordered -- we had a lot of "you have to try this!" moments being passed around the table. One thing I especially appreciated was the Caesar salad. I noticed another review mentioning the anchovy flavor in the dressing as a negative, but in my opinion, that's exactly what made it great. For me a Caesar should have that briny anchovy depth, and this one tasted freshly made and perfectly balanced. It felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. So we went online and made a reservation. Upon arrival, we had a large round table set for 10 ready for us. Our waiter, Rami, was really nice and worked hard all evening to take good care of us. The restaurant itself is along a quiet area of the River Walk in an old stone building with tons of charm. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a group dinner. As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. I was excited for the Goat Cheese Pizza with balsamic onion, pistachio, and saba. The thin crust, however, was almost too crunchy and a bit tough to eat. The toppings didn't stand out as much as I had hoped, likely because they were overbaked together. Overall, we had a lovely dinner with great service, a charming atmosphere, and good - but not great - food. 4 stars for now. I would return and try again.

However we realized quickly EVERYONE was waiting outside and they had clearly overbooked or had some issue. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes we were sat. The waittress was kind and let us know the kitchen was having some issues so food would be a little delayed between courses. It was about 60 degrees outside and we kindly asked to turn off the outside fans which were on full blast. Once. Then again, and again, and again. After 5 attempts asking various people we gave up and the waitress let us know she couldnt turn them off because their iPad control died. We werent upset at this we were just upset we kept getting different answers and no explanation for our entire 2+ hr meal. We finished the entree and were waiting for the dessert for about 15 minutes until we finally just flagged down a waittress and asked to get the check and desert to go because we were ready to leave. We waited another 10 minutes before someone else brought us our desert but no check. We asked them for the check and then the original waitress came back with our check and another set of deserts. At some point I saw another server who seemed like the manager or supervisor telling another worker to straighten the tables outside so the corners were aligned... needless to say the table alignment was not the issue. Overall just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed and there wasn't alot of communication between tables and the staff. It seems the staff was trying their best but the management wasn't handling it well. Would have appreciated more effort into making sure we were taken care of considering the meal for 2 totaled almost 300$. The only reason this isn't a one star is because of the kind waiting staff.
