So extremely delicious however I got glutened. A close by neighborhood restaurant with good reviews and one even commented on their celiac knowledgeability. I thought we could give it a try. The small restaurant was not busy on a weekend evening, ambiance a bit dated but the food was great. Unfortunately, my food had to be remade without flour in the sauce even after discussing my severe allergy and even then I had a reaction sadly meaning there's was still cross contamination. Ezio Bistro has excellent Italian food in a small 10-top restaurant located close to Huebner and Bitters. It's run by Ezio and his sons. Adriano took great care of us and was attentive to our needs. We arrived early for dinner, but by the time we left, the regulars had arrived. They have a nice wine selection by the bottle and the glass. They serve their bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For starters we had the Burrata al Tartufo and the Insalata di Rucola. The burrata was like a soft pillow of cheese. The salad had a lot of fresh arugula and marinated artichoke hearts. Both were very tasty and large. On to the main course. We had the lamb chops and the mushroom pappardelle. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked to medium rare. And there were a lot of them. Tender and juicy, flavored with rosemary and garlic. It was served with a side of freshly sauteed spinach. The pappardelle noodles were al dente and tossed in a wonderful cream sauce with bacon and mushrooms. I would recommend reservations if you are planning to go on a weekend night. read more

Overall, we had a very nice meal here. Our server was very prompt and offered good suggestions. The portions of food were ample and plenty to share. They offered some very nice and diverse menu options. I did think they needed just a few "traditionally" Italian entrees, like eggplant Parm or chicken piccata. Otherwise, no complaints. This is the second time I've visited this quaint, 10 table delightful Italian restaurant. From the minute you walk in you know you're going to eat food that is scratch made to order because the kitchen is open and every seat in the restaurant can see the food being made. It's family owned and operated, from the chef, to the waiters, all familia! My husband isn't a big fan of garlic (but I still love him) he really appreciates coming here because he asks for his meal to made without it and they are more than happy to make it just like he likes. A surprisingly wonderful Italian bistro at Huebner and Biters. This was our second visit and we are big fans. The space is intimate with only 10 tables and the decor is modern with touches of Italy highlighted throughout. Wine prices are very reasonable with bottle La from the mid-$20's to $50. My had a sautéed snapper with roasted potatoes and I had cod with capers, olives and sautéed spinach. Both dishes were reasonably priced at $30 & $32 respectively. The star of the evening was the tiramisu which was possibly the best I have ever had. We spilt a salad, shared a bottle of wine and after the dessert the bill was $126. Ezio Bistro opened recently on the corner of Huebner and Bitters. We tried it out for the first time last night. There were 4 adults and a 1 year old in our party. We arrived around 5:30 and were the only people there for at a while. We ordered a bottle of Primativo and it was very good and affordable. We started with the Burrata. It was delicious and was large enough for us to share. The bread that came with the meal was nothing special. My daughter had the Gnocchi and loved it. She always orders gnocchi when it's on the menu so she has a lot to compare it to. My son in law chose the Linguine and thought it was great. He mentioned that he wants to try to duplicate it. My husband and I shared the Penne. It was plenty enough for both of us and very flavorful. I would order it again. All in all, the portions were generous and everything was cooked to perfection. The ambiance was very nice and upscale. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was the service. Even though we were the only diners for quite a while, we had to wave the server over several times. Maybe he is new at serving tables? He seemed very hesitant throughout the evening. Also, the restaurant is not prepared for small children. There are no high chairs or booster seats. Fortunately we live close by so my husband was able to go home and get a booster seat. We all agreed that we will definitely go again. Hopefully enough people will find out about it even though it's a little hard to spot and I haven't seen it advertised. Ambiance: 1. Bring a sweater (cold) 2. Artsy chairs (hard to sit on after 30 minutes) 3. Cigarette smoke permeated from the kitchen Food 1. No butter or oil served with the bread 2. No salt or pepper on the table 3. Side spinach had almost no flavor (overpowered by mild sauce from main course) 4. Scaloppina Gorgonzola sauce was weak in flavor (but alot of sauce) 5. Cotoletta alla Bolognese was slightly better (but still mild in flavor) but awash in sauce (maybe to make up for the dryness of the meat) 6. $2.00 charge for sharing an appetizer (just don't tell them and share it yourself) 7. Nice little place for quiet, somewhat sophisticated dining. First time here and while the menu is limited, definitely real authentic Italian. We shared the caprese salad and the mista and then shared the rigatoni with eggplant. Everything was nicely prepared although I prefer a drizzle of basalmic vinegar on my caprese and this had none. The hostess and water were very polite and service was just as you would expect. The rigatoni dish was savory and served just right temperature. Only negatives was they serve bread that is just average and is not warmed.. easy thing to upgrade. The other thing was our waiter must have stepped outside to smoke a cigarette because when he came back to ask about dessert and coffee there was a strong smell of cigarettes.. that was not pleasant.
