Piano Lab was created in response to the common challenges parents face with traditional music education: one-size-fits-all lessons that don’t cater to individual learning styles, leading to disengagement and slow progress. Our mission has been to provide a more engaging, supportive experience for over 300 families. By developing a curriculum that supports independent practice and learning at home, we’ve enabled students to continue their musical journey with confidence. Our dedicated teachers, trained in The Empowered Learning Method, deliver consistent, effective learning experiences that adapt to each child’s needs, simplifying the music education process for families.

Hi, I’m Becca Hauglid. When I founded Piano Lab, it was with the intention of creating a space where music education transcends traditional boundaries, ensuring every child and parent feels supported and at ease. Hannah Baaker joined the journey in 2022, enhancing our studio with her dedication and talent. By 2024, her role evolved into that of a part owner, deepening our collaborative efforts to innovate and expand our impact. Our shared vision is rooted in empathy, innovation, and a commitment to inclusivity. Offering flexible scheduling, need-based scholarships, and a curriculum that respects cultural diversity, we aim to make Piano Lab a beacon for accessible music education.
