Risotto Terra Mare

Ordered for take-out the following: Linguini Alla Vongole - As seen in photo, overcooked angel hair pasta was used instead of linguini. Pasta was too overcooked that the sauce got creamy and tasted like pasta water instead of garlic and clams. Had a good amount of clams though, but the pasta made the entire dish a disappointment. Refund please. Rigatoni Rustica - Good flavor, good amount of beef short rib but pasta was slightly undercooked. Risotto Terre E Mare - Flavor was good, mixing shrimp and chicken is a big no for me. Tagliatelle Con Aragosta - best pasta dish so far! Flavor was perfect, creamy, perfectly cooked tagliatelle. Everything was good! It was a busy night, loud and hard to hear, barely hear music, but got to meet the owners who were very friendly and offered us tiramisu with our take out order. May be best to eat at the restaurant. Do not recommend for takeout.

Found this cute spot before we flew out of O'Hare, and we hit the jackpot. We got there early so it was pretty empty, but that was no indication of how great the food and service was. It has a modern and classy aesthetic. We sat in a very comfortable booth with 4. The service was attentive, good came out quickly. We had the burrata app, muscles and a beer salad to start. Amazing- only thing is it isn't to ate season so can't hold that against them. The main course we had the seafood risotto, rigatoni, a mushroom tagliatelle and we thought we ordered a truffle pasta. They brought a different pasta and once we said we wanted the truffle, they said no problem, left the lobster tagliatelle and brought the truffle as well. They did not charge for the extra meal! Each pasta was better than the last. Highly recommend this spot to locals and visitors!

Everything about this place was great! The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We all ended up ordering different dishes and shared them. Proportions are moderately sized and we ended up taking leftovers for the next day. Staff is super kind and ended up bringing out limoncello for us all to try.

Branzino fillets in white wine sauce Fantastic!

We found a real gem!!! The restaurant packed on Monday evening is a very good sign Under the new ownership for 3 years, this neighborhood favorite is shining! We absolutely loved everything: warm and personal greeting by the owner, the cozy atmosphere of the small neighborhood restaurant, the non pushy and warm welcoming service and , of course, the most important the wonderful cuisine. I ordered branzino from the special menu. It was served perfectly prepared with the well balanced sauce and melting in the mouth texture. My husband's veal parmigiana was abundant, carefully seasoned and not heavy in comparison with the other Italian restaurants. The half-priced on Monday bottle of wine of the excellent wine list complemented our great dinner. We finished our culinary experience with delicious gelato. This restaurant is a must if you like Italian cuisine! I highly recommend! Cannot wait to come back to try new dishes!

Top Italian restaurant in the area This place is new as of 2023, in the old Gaetano's location. Highly recommend a reservation as it's not a big space. The tables are packed relatively tightly and the noise level is fairly high. Food was excellent. They bring fresh focaccia bread with a humus dip when you first sit down. They have an excellent wine selection as well. We got the pollo Milanese, veal with lemon caper sauce, tonno carpaccio, and a traditional spaghetti with tomato sauce (plus one bottle of red wine, $140 pre-tip). Each plate was outstanding. The menu has a lot of diversity to it without being endless. Very impressed and will be back asap

Tagliatelle con Aragosta

Food was 10 out of 10! So glad that we found this place, because I feel like this is my new go-to for AUTHENTIC pasta. It was our first time here and the pastas we ordered were DELISH and SAVORY! I got the Tagliatelle, and figured I'd only get one lobster tail, but boy oh boy, I got TWO! Husband got the Rigatoni and he thought it was very flavorful, and a good ratio of noodles to meat/sauce. Though not listed on the menu, they were able to accommodate a small butter/parm spaghetti for our toddler. We got there before the dinner rush, and they were able to seat us right away. From the photos, we thought we were super under dressed in our athleisure attire, but we got there and did not feel as so. We will be back!

I want to hear last night and we didn't have a reservation, but we are promptly seated in a booth. The ambience and decor in the restaurant is very modern, chic, and bright. The sweet staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They bring out really good bread and this oil Parmesan dip first starters that was pretty good. They recommended trying the calamari, and I can't recommend it enough. The sauce that is used for the calamari is delectable. I ordered the pasta dish with lobster and shrimp and my date ordered the pasta with beef and cheese. Both are very good and super filling. I would definitely go back and try some thing else. The only thing I would recommend is having more mood lighting and warmth for the dinner hours.

That was nice, I suppose, but there is no entrance in the back. We ended up parking just down the street and walking, unfortunately in the rain. Some of that is important for as long as the construction lasts. Our GPS issue has nothing to do with the restaurant. It's just a friendly FYI in case it's your first time. The place was cute, but kind of ordinary. I was surprised when trying to find the restroom there is another big room of tables behind the bar. Servers were attentive, but they mislead us just a bit. Our friend asked about the paella and was told it was, or maybe could be (?) a single serving. Well... no way. It was massive. I believe he enjoyed it, but didn't come close to finishing it. I'd say it's easily a two-person meal. We were also told pizzas were individual size. The pizza had eight slices and could easily serve two. Mark enjoyed it. He ordered the four cheese pizza, which included blue cheese. I took a bite and definitely tasted it and didn't care for it. I think the blue cheese might have been one reason Mark DID like it. I ordered an appetizer, PULPO A LA PLANCHA from the Hot Tapas menu. It was quite good. I also had the soup of the day, which was mushroom. It was delicious! I finished all my food and was perfectly satisfied and full.

I loved that they had a small outdoor patio to enjoy the weather and be connected with the busy downtown. Their menu had starters, pastas, pizzas, and entrees in a curated format. They serve wine and beer regularly but have a rotating specials menu for cocktails and food. Our server let us know that the bruschetta rotates weekly which is cool. For mains, I got the Ricotta Gnocchi. All of that pastas are clearly homemade. The gnocchi was certainly pillowy and paired nicely with the creamy truffle sauce. My husband got the Orecchiette pasta which could have had a more prominent sauce to it. Overall, the pasta was fresh and ingredients tasted of good quality. The portions for price point seemed a little off as dishes didn't come with a bread basket nor side salad. I wish we would have gotten either a bit more pasta or something else to make the price feel of value. Either way, this was a nice spot to enjoy good company at. Our server, Nina, could not have been nicer and more attentive to our group.

VIBE: The two dining areas were casual and comfortable, woody -- sort of supper club-ish. Plenty of Frank Sinatra playing. There were hardly any other diners, so no crowd noise to speak of.lighting was good, SERVICE: The staff were kind of low-key -- polite but not overly cordial. Given that the place was not at all busy, we expected our server to be attentiveg2@ and our food and drinks to come out quickly. But no. FOOD: We started with rapini & beans; it was very good, with ample garlic, and rapini cut into manageable pieces and nicely cooked. As an entree, I had a massive plate of sausage, peppers and potatoes. I expected more flavor (especially from the sausage), but it was all pleasantly ho-hum (and the sausage would have been more manageable cut into coins rather than large hunks). My wife reported that her pasta with broccoli was bland to a fault, without even a hint of garlic. The food was not bad-tasting, just (with the exception of our starter) blah, and not worthy of the downtown prices. Given the disappointing food and seevuce, we're not likely to return. There are better choices, even here in the 'burbs.

My husband had the pear pizza and when we couldn't finish, the staff even suggested to us his recommended way of how to eat it once we take it home. Really helpful and sweet. Crab cakes were so insanely good as well. They charred them a bit truthfully, but I honestly preferred them that way. We also had the pistachio tiramisu affogato and oh my gosh was it SO yummy. The espresso, the pistachio gelato (ice cream?) whatever it was, it was gone in seconds. I also really appreciated the size of the restaurant. The noise wasn't absurdly loud, the music was at the perfect level, and the lighting offered just enough at you needed. It left staff attentive without smothering. My only criticism was that the glass of wine we received had pieces of cork in it. They swapped out the main glass at our request but left carafe which also had it in there. Not the end of the world, we just didn't drink it. Also, the price was so reasonable! We had a glass of wine, mocktail, crab cakes, pasta, pizza, tiramisu and a cup of decaf for under $100. I was extremely impressed and already looking forward to our return!

Chef Gabriel's food is creative and delicious. His brother-in-law Jose, I believe, is the one behind the great cocktail list and making housemade aperitifs. The four of us shared two appetizers. The tuna tartare - chopped tuna on top of creamy avocado surrounded by crispy capers and quail yolk. It was served with homemade potato and vegetable chips. We also shared the goat cheese - creamy melted goat cheese sitting in a pool of tasty marinara. This was served with grilled baguette pieces. This appetizer could use more of the baguette as we ran out of bread and still had goat cheese left to enjoy. For dinner, my sister had the gnocchi with braised beef, short rib, spinach and mushrooms. I know this dish was delicious because this is what my husband ordered the first time we dined here. My two cousins had the chicken limone and said it was very good. (I have my eye on this for next time ). I opted for the branzino which was moist and served in a delicious lemon caper sauce. I would like to see a traditional pasta with marinara sauce on the menu. I think that would be a great addition for clientele who are into the traditional instead of the creative and unique. There was no room for dessert, but shots of limoncello came to the table. So sweet of Divino. Let me tell you the limoncello was amazing. Luckily, I was able to buy a bottle of this housemade limoncello. Since the four of us were raving about the limoncello, right before we walked out the door Divino gave us a tasting of the housemade pistachio cream. Omg! So smooth, creamy and divine.
