So disappointing…read more Moved to FL and found myself dealing with an old shoulder issue. I was in sooo much pain. Went in person on a Monday and asked about next available appointment. The woman at the desk truly seemed to take pleasure in saying it would be months before I could be seen. Honestly, I've never thought that about any medical office but she was sneering and laughing. I told her I'd been in 10/10 psin since Friday night. I'm not a drug seeker ( or I would have gone to an ER). I wanted a consult and possibly a guided steroid shot to stop the pain. Major mean girl vibes. How about offering to have a doctor call me? A nurse? I told her I had no ortho in FL and this issue had been dormant for years. Edited for typos

All I wanted was someone who would listen. It doesn't seem much to ask, but I have been…read moreconsistently disappointed by the tendency of many other PT's, chronic pain specialists and chiropractors to fall back on a standardized "bundle" of exercise therapies to address my particular issues. So, next, I asked a Neeurologist for her opinion. I was particularly interested in her opinion both from her medical training and the fact that she had practiced for 10 years as a PT before earning her M.D. I needed someone who would simply listen, I explained. Someone I could have confidence in to tailor a "PT prescription", as it were, to my unique circumstances. Did she know someone that fit that description? What I got was immensly more satisfying than simply someone who could give me a "PT prescription". Kevin (Votta), owner of Fitness-tek, is not only a master level muscle activation technique (MAT) specialist,, but before all, he is a quiet, considerate and confidence inspiring llistener. This singular, essential attribute is not only what differentiates Fitness-tek in the personal training business, but even more remarkable, it is what constitues the essence of the Fitness-tek brand. Credible, effective and sustainable solutions to chronic physical issues like mine. The best recommendation I can offer is this. I have sought relief from chronic pain from doctors and therapists from coast-to-coast over the past three years. From a tier-1 teaching hospital like University of California San Diego to the Mayo Clinic, I can without reservation or exageration say there is no finer trainer/therapist anywhere to be found in my experience. I unequivocally offer Kevin my highest recommendation.
