I enrolled in The Pilates Krewe's teacher training with a lot of excitement and genuinely wanted to…read morebuild a strong foundation as a Pilates instructor. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I made the decision to withdraw from the program. My biggest concern was the lack of clarity and support throughout the training. Students were repeatedly instructed to save our questions for meetings or consolidate them into one email. While I understand that instructors cannot respond to an endless number of emails, questions naturally arise as you are learning, practicing, and trying to understand the material. I often felt that instead of receiving clear answers, I was left with even more questions and frustration. There were also significant issues surrounding the required observation and self-practice hours. We were told where we could take mat classes, but there were very few classes available. When we asked where else we could go to complete our required hours, it took multiple conversations to receive clear information. When I finally received information about other options, I learned that completing these hours could require additional money to take classes. What ultimately pushed me to withdraw was receiving a PDF that was supposed to help answer our questions about available instructors and opportunities. Three instructors were listed, but when I went to look for their classes on the actual schedules, I could not find them listed. As a student trying to fulfill required training hours, this was incredibly frustrating and made me question the accuracy and usefulness of the information being provided. I also felt there was very little room for students to openly discuss concerns about the structure and design of the program. The cumulative experience left me feeling that I was spending more time trying to figure out how to navigate the program than actually learning how to become a Pilates instructor. I want to be clear that my issue was not that the training was challenging. I expected it to be challenging. My issue was that I did not feel I was receiving the level of clarity, guidance, communication, and educational support I expected when I enrolled. I ultimately withdrew because I lost confidence in the program and no longer felt that continuing was the right choice for my education. I am sharing this review because I believe prospective students deserve to know what my experience was like before making a significant financial and educational commitment. I sincerely hope TPK takes this feedback seriously and considers making meaningful improvements to the student experience.

The staff was welcoming when we arrived - there are motivational quotes on the walls that I really liked as well, very cute and vibey overall. We did the hot Pilates, our instructor was awesome - she was great about walking us through every move, especially since we had a lot of beginners. The workout was hard, but didn't feel impossible which was nice because I was definitely nervous about doing Pilates for the first time. I would definitely try another class here.

I have had 4 personal training sessions with Mell and am so happy with the workouts and results. It is clear she is incredibly knowledgeable on the needs of my body, goals, and my sessions with always feel like she's targeting exactly what I need with any modifications necessary for my hypermobile joints. The gym is located on 2nd. story of a business plaza and it's beautiful. You walk in to a reception area with a shiny concrete floors and it opens up to a work out room for most of their classes. I love the variety of equipment. They have kettle bells, dumb bells, bands, HIT and more. Like lots more! They have a separate room for cycling with super comfy bikes and a large pilates room. The instructors are very hands on and very encouraging. Tammi; the pilates instructor is very knowledgeable and really takes the time to correct your moves and encourage. The reformers are very comfortable. The only draw back is there is only 6. So, grab a class early. Classes are by reservation online. You book it a few days before and the accountability start right there. So, no missing class. The students are what I call the variety pack. So, if you are worried about not being fit looking don't worry. This is a place that encourages and you have all sizes and strengths. You can be Mr. Buff and have an amazing challenging workout pushing tires around and swinging ropes or you can have a lighter work out modifying to get you there. Very welcoming I would say. The gym is owned by 3 ladies that have been in the fitness industry for decades and you can tell they are passionate about helping others. What I love is all 3 of them teach and are involved. If you have kiddos they have kid care. The only thing I would change is to add sound absorbing tiles to the pilates room so you can focus more on hearing the teacher vs. the music from the other group classes. Since, it's a new place I would think this is a budget issue that will come in the future. However, this doesn't keep me from coming since the class is amazing and I appreciate them so much. I'm looking forward to taking more classes in the fall.
