After fracturing my elbow during an unfortunate personal training incident, I did a lot of research on my injury and physical therapy. A lot of the Yelp reviews for physical therapists are years old or negative because of billing issues. I trusted the positive Yelp reviews for their Southport location but I work downtown so the Loop location was much more convenient. And I was not misled. Dr Blaire Brown and her assistant/intern Kyle were very professional yet warm as they measured my weekly progress and gave me exercises to help straighten and strengthen my arm. I was upfront about my lack of pain tolerance on the first visit and Dr Brown was firm yet gentle about what needed to be done to work out the mess of the muscles and tendons in my arm. I can't say it felt good but I was not tortured as I've read in reviews for other places. I can say it felt great afterwards and I could completely straighten my arm after a few weeks. I'm no longer a disabled person who couldn't wash her hair, brush her teeth, or sit on the bus without being in pain. The hypersensitivy has vastly improved and so has the ability to do more exercises with heavier weight. She also respected that my health insurance was not covering the expenses (though I was billed at the Blue Cross rate) and was great about only doing necessary appointments. Their prices are very reasonable and even less than some places I called. Plus you get Dr Brown's expertise for the entire hour and she doesn't hand you off to an intern. Kyle was learning from her and offering suggestions towards my care as part of that experience but she did the entire appointment. I think Kyle will make a great physical therapist once he graduates next year. The front desk staff are also very nice and helpful. I hoped my arm would heal on its own but finally admitted I needed professional help after a month of pain and handicaps. I highly recommend Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy - ask for Blaire! read more

The Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy Loop location is excellent. I had a knee injury (It band/patellar femoral syndrome) from running and I honestly thought I wasn't going to run again. I ran track and cross country in college and I'm very competitive. I was the fourth Illinois female finisher at the Chicago Marathon in 2015, but one week after the marathon I couldn't run 100 meters without pain. One of my physical therapist friends recommended Susan and Jess. I made an appointment the next week with Susan. I was skeptical the first couple weeks because as an anesthesiologist I'm used to instantaneous results, but I realized that PT is about patience and long term results. I could not have been more impressed with my results. Susan was amazing. She got right to the root of the problem and addressed each muscle individually. She identified many imbalances that ultimately caused my knee pain that I never knew I had. She was extremely professional, but also fun to talk with. When she wasn't available I went to Jess who I also loved. I'm back to running 50+ miles a week and doing my long runs of 15+ miles without pain. I have a bunch of stretches and exercises that I now incorporate into my daily running regimen. I feel stronger and my form is much improved. Even my overall posture has improved. I was actually sad my last visit, but I think I will need to schedule at least a yearly exam to address small issues before they start to cause pain and injury. In addition everyone in the office was great and accommodating. I never had a problem scheduling a visit. I loved the one to one therapy sessions that you don't get at the big corporate PT places like Athletico. In short I give Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy Loop location 5 stars! read more

I've been going to Lakeshore Sports Physical therapy for 3 months to rehab after a shoulder surgery. Ive been working with Jessica but have also seen Michael. Both are great. Jessica is very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains everything she is doing and helps walk you through what you need to do and why you need to do it. She has done a great job helping me get back to full strength and keeping my rehab ahead of schedule. The location in the loop is also very convenient. It is located right next to several different "L" stops and makes it very easy to access before, during, or after work. The facilities themselves are top notch and have great equipment to work with. They are also great about having a lot of appointment times available and then send you a calendar invite for the appointment which makes the process much more simple. I would highly recommend Jessica and the entire Lakeshore Sports Physical Therapy team to anybody searching for a physical therapist for any reason. read more

Due to chronic pain I was under treatment at PhysioPartners and I worked with Dr. Caitlin Smith, OTR/L/OTD for several months. I strongly believe that Dr.Smith medical experience and knowledge in the field, expertise and caring, support throughout treatment and deep understanding of patient needs, unlimited patience and tremendous kindness, visible dedication and advice, encouragement and professionalism are simply excellent and exemplary. I was extremely satisfied with the sessions and treatment she provided for me. Every time I attended a session she was trying to lessen my pain or discomfort by using different techniques and attentively listening to my symptoms. She kept me motivated to continue my treatment and not to give up even though it was difficult sometimes. I am very thankful and will recommend Dr.Caitlin Smith to anyone who needs professional OT. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when I first started physical therapy for lower back and hip pain but I'm a total believer now, especially with Jessica and physio partners! After years of cardio workouts and working a desk job, my lower back and hips had had enough and it got to a point where simple walking was causing pain in my hip. After meeting with Jessica, she diagnosed a likely problem and estimated 6 weeks of PT and then I'd be on my own. She immediately showed me stretches, strengthening and foam rolling techniques to target the problems. It was great hearing about what was wrong and how to treat it myself versus continually having to see someone. Today was my final visit because it is all healed! Through Jessica's guidance and treatment, everything is much better and I know how to take care of myself to prevent the injury again. Thank you!!! read more

I've been going to Lakeshore Loop location for four weeks after a resent navicular foot surgery. I've worked with both Angela Pennisi and Jessica and have had great success so far in my post-operation journey. Jessica has worked with me on many tendon & muscle strengthening foot exercises that I am able to do at home, (which is great for once our sessions are complete). She also records our sessions so I am able to watch myself in correct form. Angela has focused on my kinetic chain and discrepancies between my hips, knees, and ankles. I am amazed on how much a 10 degree adjustment can change my anatomical position and weight distribution. So far I am more than pleased with my personal progress and this facility. I would recommend speaking with all of the Therapist in the facility so you can find one that truly fits your needs. read more

I've been coming to Lakeshore Sports for all my PT needs since 2012. With their help, I've successfully recovered from a torn hamstring, broken foot, rhabdomyolysis, and most recently Achilles tendinitis. There is always flexibility in scheduling appointments and the staff are friendly and helpful. I like the personalized nature of the treatment and that your therapist is 100% focused on you throughout the session. I most recently worked with Jessica Burchett recovering from the Achilles tendinitis. She always had answers to my questions and always had constructive comments as I worked through the exercises. Based on my many hours of time spent here doing my rehab, I would highly recommend Lakeshore Sports, especially to people working in the loop. It's a convenient location to get to on a break. read more

The experience I've had at Lakeshore Sports PT the past 3 months has been above and beyond my expectations. They have done a superb job in all aspects of that a physical therapy practice should act in. I've worked mainly with Jessica Burchett, but had a few sessions with Mike Brown. I have nothing but great things to say as they are both professional and very knowledgeable in their industry field. Scheduling my appointments were never an issue as they were very accommodating to my schedule. Over the course of the past 2 months I have noticed significant progress in my rehabilitation process and am actually a couple weeks ahead of schedule! I would without a doubt recommend them to a friend and would go back in the future if ever needed! - but lets hope I never need to :) read more

I had never participated in physical therapy until this summer when I started experiencing severe hip pain. I was referred to PhysioPartners by my primary physician. My initial appointment was with Susan and she was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, as well as friendly and easy to talk to. She explained every stretch or exercise we were doing and gave me realistic exercises to do at home in conjunction with the sessions in the office. After 6 weeks, I have no pain and can begin working back into my normal exercise routine. I couldn't be more happy with the convenience of scheduling, location, but most of all the people (especially Susan and Mike) who worked with me to heal. I highly recommend PhysioPartners! read more

I have been dealing with Hip Pain (Tendinitis and Bursitis) for over two years. I was seeing another Physical Therapist and just not getting the results and still having a lot of pain. I was doing Steroid injections as well to help manage the pain but it would still come back. I was recommended to Mandie by someone at work and the results that I have had with her have been amazing. She really talked me through everything and explained all my issues to me. We did some dry needling and also realized a lot of my issues were coming from my back. I am now virtually pain free and can't thank her enough for everything that she has done for me. read more

I have been to therapy at PhysioPartners over the last couple of years. They have brought me back once from unbearable lower back pain that even prescription drugs couldn't relieve. And a second time from a fall that flared up the back pain once again. Three different therapists have worked with me, all have been professional, hygienic, caring and insightful. Constantly giving me tips and "homework" to get me back to my baseline and stronger. I highly recommend them, have tried others and have accompanied my mother to others. There just is no comparison to PhysioPartners dedication and knowledge to getting you well. read more

My experience with physical therapy for my lower back really was as good as it gets. I was assigned to Joanna Bakos and I would recommend her without hesitation. She understood how my back problems fit into my overall health picture and was really clear, focused, and supportive in showing me how each exercise and stretch contributed to my goals. While I am not someone who likes exercise, I looked forward to seeing her for additional help and for showing her my progress. Most importantly, she helped me make good progress and motivate me to continue on my own. read more

Have had incredible customer service at PhysioPartners. Really helpful PT and massage work. They helped me stay healthy and get stronger for my first half marathon, and I ran it faster than I ever thought I could! They were attentive and responsive, and I really felt like my program of in-session work and at-home exercises were tailored exactly to my needs and abilities. (They made sure to make my exercises harder as I got better.) I dealt with ankle instability, ITB and some PF while under their care. Couldn't recommend highly enough! read more

60 year old male. I have used Susan Rocchini for about 15 years for various therapies. low back surgery rehab, plantar fascitis and similar. She is one of the most thorough, knowledgeable, analytical medical providers I have ever encountered. Fantastic, really. My daughter also used her for broken ankle rehab from figure skating. I have been to therapists at all the brand name facilities. She's better. She knows who I am, if you call her and want to contact me, I will personally recommend her. read more

Anyone who is serious about fitness or participates in a sport should have a physical therapist supporting their efforts. Whether or not I am experiencing any pain, LSPT helps me benchmark my fitness progress once a year, so I know whether I am progressing or backsliding, or have imbalances to address for optimal performance. And, whenever I had an issue that required treatment, they were able to address it so that it did not come back. They have the experience to deal with complex issues. read more

This was my first time in PT. Working with Michael and Angela was fantastic. I felt continued improvement from session to session and learned much along the way. The plan they put together for me was continually tweaked to meet my weaknesses. The office is in a great location with plenty of equipment and rooms and scheduling appointments was never an issue. I would highly recommend PhysioPartners to anyone in need of PT and specifically Michael and Angela. read more

It is difficult to find an effective therapist to treat lymphedema. I have been helped substantially by Caitlin Smith at the Lakeview office. She is knowledgeable and her treatments are effective. Caitlin makes you comfortable in what can be an awkward situation. The treatment rooms are private and you have her attention for the full hour. She has been able to help me get the lymphatic swelling under control and now my visits are further apart. read more

I had a fantastic experience at PhysioPartners! Susan Hardin Rocchini was great to work with and is very knowledgeable. She worked with me to not just fix my immediate problem but identified areas to work on for my long term health. Should I need to go to physical therapy in the future Susan will be my first choice. Location is great if you work in the loop and I had no problem finding times to fit my schedule. read more

I've used a lot of physios in my life, repairing a variety of mainly sports injuries, and would highly recommend Lakeshore - the level of care in the initial diagnosis and the subsequent attention to detail and tuning of the therapy - not just going through a rote program - was exceptional. They don't come better than this read more
