I'm not sure how experienced some of the staff are. I had the lady checking my pulse with her thumb and you're not supposed to be checking your pulse of thumb because your thumb has his own pulse so that kind of had me thinking what's going to be happening here. They seem to not have a extra large blood pressure cuff, which can make blood pressure readings off if you're a bigger person. the woman at the front desk front desk was really nice and helpful. read more

Do not expect to see a physician when you go there, the sign on the building "Physicians Immediate Care" is a lie - there was no physicians on premises when I came there, only nurse practitioner. Gentleman at reception was very nice, polite and courteous, but the rest of the staff I encountered were arrogant and pushy. I left there after I was told that I won't be able to see a physician, and I have to explain all my complex medical problems to a nurse, and rely on her experience and education. I have been to this Physicians Immediate Care three times now in the last two weeks. The first two times were for a work related Physical, Drug Test, and TB test. The second was to seek support on en eye condition that flared. The work related experience was great! I came at 11:30, and found services to be quick, and convenient. The sign in process was easy, and any questions were answered well. The office was clean, and appeared well kept. The nurses and doctors were polite and gave clear instructions. The last time I came for my eye was also great quality of care. I came at 8 AM, was seen promptly, and the individual at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The doctor was polite and took time to answer all my questions and give me recommendations. The experience here has been good and though I've gone only for very minor things, I would come back here again! read more

ZERO. STARS. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I went in over a week ago in Niles on Golf Rd after taking a home covid test (positive). After handling iPad it was not cleaned off, so be aware they don't practice basic infection control. I was not tested for Covid or flu. My doctor asked if they checked oxygen levels given the severity of cough/symptoms - They did NOT (saw this in another review also, they ended up in hospital and should SUR for malpractice). I was told I could take Paxlovid (I cannot, horrible teaction last time). Refused to provide any other antivirals resulting in: Extended symptoms, extended time to infect others, an entire week of missed work. I asked for the same meds (including cough medicine) as before and was told I could get approx 4 doses of essentially Robitussin DM. Useless. I was told "YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT". Here I am! Someone from their corp office did call but for what reason, I don't know. She apologized and that was that. MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE. I now have an ongoing horrible cough and exhaustion. If it's pneumonia, they will be held accountable. Considering contacting IDFPR due to their negligence with: TESTING FOR COMMUNICABLE ILLNESS (they did not) FAILURE TO COMPLETE COMPREHENSIVE EXAM (no O2 levels checked - I worked in health care 25 years, was/am shocked) I passed out the next night while coughing and bloodied my nose. WILLFUL FAILURE TO TREAT/REFUSAL TO PROVIDE MEDS (the same ones I've had the last 4 times). FAILURE TO MEET MINIMAL STANDARD OF INFECTION CONTROL. Sound serious? It is. Stay far away. While the staff were pleasant and effective I did not care for their process. I was there for drug screen and you know what that means, so I came prepared and ready, after drinking a big cup of water earlier. The sequence of how and who they saw made no sense, it was not in order. Not everybody is there for a drug screen, but many are. Why not process drug screen folks separately? It is a fairly quick turn around process so do not understand why you would not express lane it. Why make people wait so that they feel miserable as if their bladder will explode? Or worse yet, have to use the lavatory in the lobby and undermine the entire purpose. There must be a certain 'rhythm' to this process on both ends, the body's process and the intake process. It seems basic but from my experience was not accounted for in their current intake process. So poo on you, or more like pee on you or me or in the cup, yeah that's it! Nurses and the rest of the people there were nice and accommodating but the doctor gave me the creeps and just over all sleazy. Went in for a UTI and got told it was probably a STI because they couldn't find bacteria (but found the other UTI indicators) and he overly explained female genitalia even after I told the nurse about mine being underdeveloped and not being able to do anything sexual by with mine. He still continued on with this unsettling explanation even after I said it wasn't possible. He still wrote me a prescription for antibiotics for a uti but I didn't need the weird sex Ed biology lesson. Would not recommend if you're a female having a uti and would rather have burning pee than to ever see that doctor again. read more

Have been here couple times and each time I've been treated very fairly. The first time I had a foot injury and I really dislike emergency rooms, PIC only being only 2 mins from my house I gave it a shot and i was not disappointed. I made sure to call just because I wasn't sure what to expect and the girl (didn't catch her name) was very pleasant and said to come by right away. I had couple follow ups and all went great. I came here recently for different reason (was really avoiding ER again) but they asked me to go to the ER due to my test results but the entire time everyone was so kind and compassionate. Maybe the recent negative reviews have been due to the virus but I highly recommend calling or setting up an appointment online which doesn't even take 2 minutes just so you don't pop up when many others are waiting before you.. read more

Went to this immediate care with back pain. No other symptoms, no chest pain, nor no shortness of breath. They diagnosed a heart attack? They didn't address my back pain. About two weeks ago, I broke my foot, after realizing my injury was more severe than I thought I decided it warranted immediate medical attention but it wasn't life or death so opted to come here instead of the emergency room. It was the right choice but this being my first visit to an urgent care clinic ever I was left stunned that they required an ID, insurance and credit card in order to be seen. Considering the accident I had just suffered none of those things were at the forefront of my mind...I had a credit card on me luckily and I was able to pull my insurance card on my phone through the health insurance company's app...however I didn't have my ID with me but know my driver's license number by heart, but it didn't matter. Long story short I had to drive back to get my license and then drive back here...with a broken foot. Also it seemed like everyone else I saw here was coming here for no good reason and regular checkups? Is there something I'm missing? What's the purpose of this "Urgent" Care Clinic? Some girl who walked in after me came in cause her nose was feeling weird...the whole experience just made me go wtf... The staff treated me with respect and they did a great job examining my foot, taking x-rays, addressing my needs, dealing with my insurance and getting me a referral. As far as payment, I was charged for the visit that very same day. I also checked with my insurance and have an outstanding bill for that same visit... what's not real clear to me is what I was charged for that very same day I went to the clinic. Is it just a $200-$300 charge just for the privilege of being seen that day... as in that's just what the clinic charges you just because they can and then you pay your portion for the actual services you received after they bill your health insurance? The charges could be more clearer and straightforward. The doctor was spectacular though, but the business part rubs me the wrong way. Not the price... After being told by Concentra to go to the ER, I figured, there has to be a non-emergency facility to remove glass from my foot. The doctor that I saw was just lovely!! Clean waiting area, personable staff and the best nurse - she gave me a painless shot (needle shot, not alcohol) which is unheard of. The reason for the 3 stars is that this place seems a bit disorganized and being an early morning patient, waited for the cabinents to get unlocked, etc....also had a young lady jab her long nails into my wrist as she checked my pulse - I swore I was alive and no reason for this especially since I was wearing the blood-pressure sleeve a few minutes too long. Just an fyi. The building looks like an apartment complex and you may drive past it one or two times but over, they did a good job and very much appreciate them. Thank you ladies!!! read more

I showed up here on a Saturday because I thought I had pink eye, and I work with children, so I needed to get it checked out. After waiting 20 minutes in the waiting room, I came in and had my stats written down by a nurse ( on a napkin). Then, I kid you not, I waited an hour for someone to come check me out. I think they forgot about me. So by the time I gave up and assumed no one was there, I came out to get my phone, the shocked physicians assistant is looking at me, and voila 10 seconds later he comes in to talk to m. So an hour and a half later ( for a pink eye visit) I get my 2 prescriptions for what I need). What's impressive about this is that they seriously did no work. Now let me get to insult to injury. They charged 30 dollars as my co-pay. OK, fine. Then, I get a letter in the mail from them letting me know my insurance won't be covering all of the visit, and $100 will automatically be debited from my card. FOR WHAT? For the nap I took in their office while waiting for some idiot to come look at me? I mean seriously, no tests, nothing at all was done. I will never come back here again. We had a miserable experience at Physicians Immediate Care. I made an appointment for my daughter and got there a few minutes early. I was told that there was one person in front of us and we would be seen shortly. We waited in the lobby for over 45 minutes before we were brought back to a room. An assistant took vitals and said the doctor would be in shortly. After 25 minutes of sitting in that room by ourselves, I came out and asked what the ETA was. One of the assistants said at that time there were another 2 people in front of us. I told her that we had an appointment and had been waiting an hour and ten minutes. At that time, the doctor came out of a room and said "I will be in in about 7 minutes. If you can't wait that long, you should leave." Not only was there no apology, he actually made a hand motion toward the door like he was shooing us out the door. I was in shock by how incredibly rude he was. I told him I was taken aback by how rude his response was and he basically mumbled something like "we've had a lot of distractions today." I went back in the room and called AFC Urgent Care. They said they could see us immediately. We walked out of Physicians Immediate Care and we'll never go back. We drove down the street to AFC and were seen right away by a very polite doctor and staff. I could have saved myself an hour and a half by just going there in the first place. read more

When I went to this Immediate Care the doctor and nurse were friendly and took care of me. The problem I have is they told me they were sending out a urine sample for a UTI problem and they would call me with the results whether there was an additional problem or not. The doctor empathized I would get a call. I never received a call back, and one month later I called the office and told the person answering the call that I had never received my call back to let me know what was found but I did a notice that I had been charged for what the insurance did not pay. She told me to hang on she had another call and people at the counter. 10 minutes later I was still waiting. Disappointed in the after service for sure. read more

Honestly I can't even give this clinic one star. I was not only denied service I was bullied by the manager jenniser M. I came in with pneumonia and was having a hard time breathing as it is and was harassed because my face mask fell off of me. They wouldn't give me an explanation. The lady called me crazy which is not very professional is it. I really hope Janice or M gets fired because she is the worst manager ever! Got in a few minutes before my appointment - yes, do make one thru the website, just in case it gets busy, just like the enrollment interview for TSA PreCheck - to check in, filled out forms, provided my insurance card and ID. After a short wait, I got the initial screening of my general health, issues and allergies, and other usual stuff (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc). Then waited a short time to see the Doctor, who checked out my injury a bit more in detail. X-rays followed with relative ease, and I am back to the initial examination room while the x-rays are being checked out by the Doctor for final checks, the convo to let you know what needs to be done. In this case, I had to be referred and see a hand specialist for a problem with my two fingers - the Doctor let me know to see the specialist ASAP, and got me the appointment and directions to see the specialist. She might of gotten the diagnosis incorrect but then she is not a hand specialist and I at least got seen and referred that same day. Definitely worth going and the place is fairly convenient to go to as well. read more

Set better expectations, guys! I made an appointment for my girlfriend via the website, which advertises "no need to wait". En route, I received a text message stating that the appointment would be delayed [only] fifteen minutes! Thanks for letting us prepare, if it was only true... We arrived at the location to be told "there is about a two hour wait." If that's the case, they really shouldn't set the expectation of a prompt appointment; nor should they send an inaccurate follow-up to reset expectations! The actual wait was only an hour or so, but that's quite a stretch from "immediate" or "15 minutes"! The immediate part is how quickly Girlfriend was dismissed with a sinus infection and some antibiotics. Two months later, the poor girl is still suffering with general upper body agony. I get that the mysterious sinuses can operate like this, but I can't help but think a more thorough exam may have turned up something else. I'd even accept a simple "This doesn't always fix sinus patients. If your face still sucks after your prescription runs out, then come back and/or try xyz". read more

I can barely even say i had an experience there. I was in from out of town and needed to see a doctor. This was one of the few places around that takes my insurance. Unfortunately i didn't have a physical copy of my insurance with me but i had a copy on my phone so i thought it would be no problem. It's not like it has a chip in it or something, all they need is the information listed on it. The receptionist at the counter told me he couldn't take my insurance card because he had to scan it through his machine first. He then proceeded to just look at me, basically saying i was SOL with his eyes. I then went 3 miles down the road to a different physicians immediate care and they asked me to email it to them. Everything went smoothly at that location.. So much for being helpful at all. I would avoid this specific location. read more

I've been here twice in the last six months, the doctors are great, on-time and professional. The staff is also helpful and informative. You can walk-in or make an appointment online. It sounds like they take all PPO's and a few HMO's. This is a great place to go if you don't have a regular doctor and/or you need basic medical attention quickly. There is nothing immediate about this place. Due to the sensitive and possibly dangerous nature of my job, I get drug tested once per year. I am treated as the lowest of the low in priority, the nurse could have conducted my test in 5 minutes, but chose to screw around for 40 minutes on an insurance issue a patient presented 20 minutes after I arrived and checked in. Nurses and physician assistants mill about for signifigant time without working. To really piss off customers, myself and the other drug tester were told to "be ready to used the bathroom" after both of us had been there over an hour. Really.... I have had to piss for this test for an hour, and you tell me to be ready, I think we are. read more

Look - if you need immediate care, why go to this place? NMH immediate care is far better and only 3 miles away, on Willow and Patriot in Glenview. Plus, this place forces you to sign something that says in small print that they will auto-charge your credit card the amount insurance won't pay, and they never send a bill! Never!
